Killing Justification And God's Fury

'I feel like truly killing everyone here…' Max thought as he stared blankly at the whiteboard.

"Then kill them." The ball said as it appeared right in front Max's face.

'You think I can? We have laws here… and even if they did not exist how could I kill someone?'

"How do you kill animals?"

'It's a different thing… Killing animals and killing humans are two different things. Two completely different things. How could I kill my own kind?'

"Your kind? You are… not human. You are God. They are inferior to you. And if you are scared of the law just think of striking them with lighting."

'I… I still am a human and I can do that!? Didn't you say I have very limited power here?' Max asked finally, his expression changing a little from the expressionless face.

"I was telling the truth but controlling the weather is very basic. So would you like to strike them with lighting?"

'No…' Max said, sighing to himself, 'I am not that crazy yet. Now stop the nonsense and get out of my face.'

"Very well… I will explore the spiritual realm then to see if there is something interesting going on."

'Wait… the place where I was called spiritual realm? And how could you explore that area…? It's filled with these monsters.' Max asked, a little curious.

"Yes. And I cannot get harmed by such inferior demons. If you had a calm mind you yourself could have killed that creature with a simple look."

'...' Max said nothing and just felt annoyed. Him running and crawling away earlier was one of his lowest moments in his whole life. He was quite prideful. Hearing nothing from Max soon the Ball also left.

"Class!" The assistant professor shouted from the door "This lecture is canceled because Professor Elvish has gotten in a car accident." After saying that he instantly left.

Max sighed hearing that "Okay, great… I can't attend any class today." Max shook his head and started to get up to leave.

As Max was about to walk out a man blocked his path with a smirk on his face.

The man had a handsome face, short brown hair, and black eyes that somehow mixed well together. He had a superior build than Max and he wore luxurious clothes. A little too luxurious even though they looked so simple.

Max's calm face instantly turned into a serious face as he looked at the man. He tried to walk past hum but the man once again blocked his way.

"You really want to fight me that much, Asheville?" Max said with bitterness clear in his voice.

"Come on Maxy~ we are close enough for you to call me Ash right~?" Asheville said with a wide smug on his face.

"We were never close, you bastard, now get out of my way before I use force!" Max said, placing his hand on Ash's chest.

"Wow~ so scary~ gonna cry?"

Max was about to say something but he stopped himself by biting his lower lips. He simply returned to his seat and put his head down waiting for Ash to go away.

They never had a close relationship… they were rivals to be exact. They both came from a good family, always had good grades and even had good looks. They surely never targeted each other openly ever before but after Max somehow lost everything in just a few months Ash started to bully him.

Max had no choice but to endure everything because that was his last year and he had already paid the tuition fees for the whole year from his personal account when the situation of his company started to get bad. He needs to, no, he must graduate from the university to live a normal life.

Ash rolled his eyes at the reaction he got and soon left. After all… he could not start a physical fight first. He did not want to lose his reputation.

'That bastard… I thought although you had a sharp tongue you were good but to think you are like this!' Max thought as he looked at Ash leaves from the corner of his eyes. He clenched his fist in anger before getting up and stomping away from class.

Max, like he said to Al, went to the cafeteria to find her but she was not there so he simply sat in their usual place and waited for her to arrive.

"Wow… he came to eat with her money again… how can he be so shameless?" People started to whisper to each other once again.

"Damn… can't believe we are studying with a beggar."

Max's body tensed up hearing all those things. He clenched his fist once again and tried to calm himself down.

'You bastards… I used to pay for the whole cafeteria back then… and I will pay her back after I get a job you little-' Max thought to himself.

Max could no longer sit there and endure hearing them talk about him any longer. He got up and left in anger after giving them a silent glance.

Max walked toward the fountain area where he was sure he could find Al. After all, it's a comforting and resting place for both him and her.

Just when Max was about to reach the fountain he was blocked by three people. They were Ash and two he does not even remember.

"Maxy~ wanna eat? I will pay. I can't have my old friend starving~" Ash said trying to annoy Max.

Max grinned his teeth and tried to walk past them but they did not allow him to. 'Calm down Max… you must not fight… I must not…'

"If you don't wanna just say so- no need to walk away like this. You are not the king of University you used to be, bro." One of the unknown two said.

"Don't act like you don't know the answer, you damn bastards. I will seriously sue you all if you continue with this bullying." Max said as his grip around his bag got stronger.

"Sue?" Ash snickered hearing that "You got money to hire a lawyer?"

"I-" Max paused and looked down. Ash was right… he hardly has enough money to survive for a few more months until the finals. He could not waste them at all.

"But I do!" Al yelled from back as she walked towards them and eventually got between them. "I will sue you on his behalf and you are aware of who would fight the case if I stick with him, right?"

Ash's playful face turned into a face full of anger as Al said that but just the next moment his playful expression returned.

"Come on~ can't friends joke around a bit~ and damn Maxy… to think I would see a day where you hide behind a girl~" Ash said with a wide smile across his face.

"..." Max said nothing… His face was calm but suddenly everyone felt a pressure they could not explain. As if the gravity itself was increasing for them. The clear sky out of blue got covered with stormy clouds and the rumbling of lighting filled the silence that had fallen upon them.

Everyone except for Max started to gasp for air. The entire university could easily feel the pressure but the further they were the less effect they felt… but everyone for sure felt a suffocating pressure they have never experienced ever before.

Ash had no idea that he had just angered… THE GOD.
