The Vision

Ron opened his eyes, he was floating in the water like a lifeless body, he panicked and ended up gasping in a huge chunk of it. Ron wasn't like other godslayers, he couldn't adapt for that long hence he was drowning. He looked around and he noticed Ellen also floating but unconscious, he swam to her and grabbed her hand then pulled the both of them up.

His head popped out of the water as he inhaled and took in some fresh air, the place the spring had put them at was a river, and lucky enough they were close to the bank. He hit the water which was hard because he had the extra weight Ellen on him. He was able to put the both of them on land, but Ellen was still unconscious, but it was clear it wasn't from drowning. They must have gone through some stasis to get here maybe that's why waking up was more of a shock to him. He hadn't even realized that they had been transported into a river.

The river was in a forest and good enough he had woken up before the water pushes them down the waterfall.

Ellen suddenly coughed back to life, and she rose like she had woken up from a nightmare. The first she was Ron who was staring at her with a concerned look. Then she turned down to her clothes and they were fully soaked with sand. Ron was otherwise shirtless and was in his underwear.

"What the hell are you doing looking at me?" she shouted then covered her chest with her arms, the soaked clothes were outlining crucial areas of her ladylike body.

"No- it wasn't that I was just-"

"Pervert," she stopped him. Then stood up and walked away dramatically while swinging her waist left and right.

"What the hell is going on?" He thought while looking at Ellen disappear into the woods.

Nightfall finally came up. Ellen and Ron were seated quietly around a fire that had been made by burning their old clothes. Ellen had extra clothes for both of them, she said- but Ron was currently in a 'Hello Kitty' white t-shirt with glitter sprinkled around the name. The jeans were okay, but he was not happy with the shirt. Ellen on other hand had changed into the same things she had at the beginning of this entire journey. He didn't want to ask questions like do have a stockpile of those in that magic bag of yours?

But he was dying too.

He didn't need to change shoes because Nathan's sneakers could dry themselves and stay clean almost all the time. And they could tie themselves. It's like they were alive.

It was very clear they were on Jotunheim because everything was bigger, from fruit to animals a rat was the size of a car, and birds would cross and you think it's a plane that had just hoovered just above you. They had to get to the giant's capital which was called Utgard, and after studying the map for hours they discovered they were not so far away. Ellen believed that if they are to have Ron's mother, they would be holding her from the highest tower there. She had also come up with an escape plan that would only come into action if we get help from Asgard, the plan involved them using that one thing that separates Jotunheim from Asgard, and that was the river Lving. A deep river with very strong waves that no leaving thing can ever cross. But they were going to use that anyway, it was risky but there was no other way.

LATER THAT NIGHT…Ron couldn't sleep at all, he had a lot on his mind but the biggest headache was how was he going to save his mom, and if he does how with this impact both their relationship, a mother who finds out that her son his a god and a godslayer, the same things that got her husband killed. He was staring at the moon and it was at its brightest from this world, it looked bigger and astonishing from this view, a view he couldn't get if he were looking at the moon from earth.

Staring at it for long also made him want to cry, not because it was so bright, but because he was afraid of dying. He was fourteen but the world has moved so fast it makes him feel like he's in his late thirties. There was so much he hadn't done yet, he didn't know what he wanted to be in the future, he has never kissed a girl, and he hasn't even gone to prom. So many things he wanted to and the list was endless.

He heard footsteps from behind and he rushed to wipe the tears away.

Ellen materialized from the background, in her goddess form.

"It's okay to cry Ron," she said. "We all fear death."

"What do you know about death, Ellen? You were given the perfect life from day one and were trained how such situations", she said. "I on the other hand had to watch my father die and my mom's life collapses because of me, and now she's in trouble for the same reason,"-he paused- "Me."

Ellen felt bad, and she didn't know what to say, "You're wrong," she said.

"What?"

"You're to say your father died because of you, he died because he had faith in you, that's why he handed over the ring to you, he knew that someday you will learn how to use it and avenge him," she said. "And is one of the reasons you're here, to not let your father's death be in-"

She paused when she suddenly had a vision of the future, he eyes turned white and she grabbed onto Ron's arm as her mind collapsed and her eyes journeyed into the future, she saw Ron on his knees carrying, a lifeless version of his mother a man was standing behind him, with his hand on Ron's shoulder. Ron was in tears and cheers were coming from around, they were in an arena and her hands were covered in blood.

She returned. And Ron was staring at her, "Ellen are you okay?" he asked looking rather concerned,

She stared at him while panting like a dog, "We need to leave now," she said and grabbed him and they teleported.

They appeared on the outskirts of the giant capital. And what surprised them first was that human soldiers were guarding the place with guns, they were all dressed in green army camouflage with different Nation flags strapped on their uniforms.

"Traitors," Ron hissed, they were hidden behind a bush scanning the place and trying to find another way into the capital.

How are we supposed to get passed those guys? Ron complained. "I bet there are more inside,"

Ellen smiled, "We use Altaen crystals," she summoned her crystal and then used it to control the vines around the soldiers, the vines slithered and started grabbing one soldier at a time and instantly covering their mouths before they call for help. Once the ground was cleared, Ellen then powered down from god mode and summoned her normal bow along with Altaen crystal arrows, then the two of them walked into the giant capital.

"Finally, some action." A giant fell from above them and landed right in front of them and the ground shook. It wasn't as big as the giant at the lake when they were approaching Niflheim. This one even had a face that almost resembled a human, with ugly black teeth and googly eyes. It was tall, about ten feet above the ground with animal skin to cover its body.

It raised one foot to crush Ellen who was in front but she jumped out of the way and started firing light arrows at its legs.

"Kotos de Vale" the giant cursed at her after inflicting pain on him. Then it hit the ground and it exploded outwards and she was thrown away in the process. The force destroyed most of the ground.
