The Divine Cult

Axel slowly approached the pile of broken trees with his sword at the ready.A limp arm covered in cuts sticking out was definitely a good sign. He swung his fiery blade down one time to cut away at the layer on top of the person.

He was shocked to see that this person appeared very much...human. "But, I know I heard wings. This has to be an angel, right?" It was an older man that had been wearing all white.

Iris joined him and quickly put her hands over her mouth. "What have I done?!"

Axel put up a single finger. "Quiet, we still don't know the deal here. And there could be more." Though the lack of the body not breaking down into energy did concern him. They just stood still for a few moments to see if either it would evaporate or if more would show up.

Neither happened.

"Damn Iris, you didn't have to go and kill the old guy." Axel said, putting his sword back across his back.
