Chapter 1 New World

I have been in this forest for a few days after I had been reincarnated. This forest is very dangerous as I saw many dead remains of monsters that are fresh. Yeah monsters. The weakest monsters are stronger than a tiger.

These few days I have been surviving on the few fruits and river water I found on the first day of transmigration. These days I was saving my strength and trying to find a prey.

While I was a mercenary I always had to live in an forest for most missions. I had almost forgot about those.

I built a temporary shelter on top of a high tree near a water source. Today I went out to hunt for a small prey.

But as I went out I met with a terrifying monster. He blocked my way as he glared at me.

I knew I couldn't escape as I had monitored their reaction and speed. They are very fast, faster then a normal trained hitman. The more stronger ones was even as fast as a car.

I knew I had to fight it.

I backed a little and took out a roughly made dagger. This dagger took me 7 days to sharpen and the rock was really strong. I was a little afraid of its size but my spirit as a mercenary took over.

I started to make the first attack. I rushed forward with a little push to my feet. I bent down to reduce air friction increasing my speed by one percent.

Thankfully although the body was young it was as strong as my old body at my peak.

The monster was like a panther but white and had a tail like stegosaurus having sharp knife like scales.

It was quite big. About 2.3m tall. Its body was quite tough.

I knew I couldn't attack the monster head on. So, after closing in I slided towards its back. Its size was quite so it was not so agile.

I jumped on top of its back. I aimed at its vulnerable points as I knew its body was quite tough.

I just barely could strike once before I was thrown off balance by the monster. I backflipped in the air and safely landed.

The monster turned and tackled me. I didn't have much time to react before I hit a tree. Damn even the trees are harder than in my past life.

The monster again tried to tackle me but I side rolled this time. I tried to estimate the monsters strength.

I gave him Strength- SS, Agility- B, Endurance- S. This is in reference to my stats which I give myself a solid A in all stats.

I knew I couldn't stretch this fight any longer. The strike I made on its neck was pretty damaging to it. I just had to make one more strike on the same place and it would die.

This time the monster was quite careful and didn't give me any chance to strike on its neck.

So, I turned around and ran towards the water source near my temporary shelter. The monster was already angry and wanted to tear me to pieces so it followed me.

My agility was better so it could not catch me. After I was near enough to the water source. I climbed up a tree. When the monster was running past the tree. I jumped on it.

[A/N- As most of you know agility and speed are two different concepts. Agility is the total evaluation of your speed, reflex, etc., and speed is just speed. so our MC used trees as diversions and managed to keep ahead of the monster]

The jerking was so bad I was almost thrown of the monster. But before I fell down I managed to strike once on its neck.

The strike more fatal due to various causes such as momentum, velocity, etc. The monster died in less than two seconds.

The monster slide towards the water source due to its inertia. This is all scientific reasons. That is why I say one must read. Reading extensively helps in chasing girls.

I pushed the dead remains of the monster towards the water source. I did this to wash away the smell of blood from the body. The smell of blood attracts other animals.

This way I could remove the smell of blood and also clean its meat. I don't when I can again eat something so nutritious.

But before I could do all this I heard a noise from inside my head.

I was shocked at hearing this. But I remembered that the administrator has been talking about some system thingy. This must be it

I asked back at the system, " In which world am I in?"

After knowing where I am my priorities have changed. First of all, I want to make this place my main base of operation.

I first used the skin of the monster to make a decent clothing to cover my body.

I cooked some food with the meat which turned out to be not quite satisfying but manageable. Ah I like eating Luna's food.

I wrapped the leftover meat in the remaining part of the monster's skin and and heat it for some time to keep it fresh for atleast tomorrow.

Norman ate and slept after sometime but he didn't notice the one unread message in the message log of the system…
