Chapter 19 - Spending Points, Coming to an Agreement

As Xin Jin came into the small courtyard where all sorts of steaming dishes were presently awaiting him, he spotted the three girls all sitting at the table which was located near the Apricot Tree.

Xin Jin sat across from Luo Mei, Gu Xian'er and Han Yi who were all sitting on the same bench and were chatting casually as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Xin Jin who was now sitting at the table took a steamed pork dumpling, a bowl of rice, and a few other things.

Xin Jin was always impressed with the food that Luo Mei made.

As it happened, she was operating on the tips that her mother had given her while growing up as a young Spirit Crane.

Among many things her mother had taught her was the phrase 'The way to a mans heart is through his stomach.'

And so, for the better part of her adolescence, she made sure to practice her cooking diligently.

The results of which were blatantly obvious. Her ability to cook would put any 5 Star Restaurants on Earth to shame.

As he enjoyed his meal, Xin Jin decided to spend a few of his Luck Points in order to find a suitable Cultivation Technique for Han Yi, since he couldn't expect her to remain as a weak mortal her whole life.

He also decided to look for something for the other two as well.

He figured it was only fair.

'Hey Jewel, what sort of Technique would best suit Han Yi for her to begin cultivating?' He asked silently

[Well, since she has a fairly rare physique, there are a few expensive ones that would do the job.]

The System explained with a helpful tone.

'How much are we talking here?' He asked, not sure what the System considered "Expensive."

[From 250 Luck Points for a Spirit Grandmaster Lvl Technique, 3-400 For a Spirit King Level Technique, and lastly, 500 Points for a Spirit Sovereign Level Cultivation Technique.]

Xin Jin gulped down a mouth of saliva as he heard the System mention the Levels of the Techniques available for Han Yi.

From what hey knew about the power structure of this Universe, Spirit Sovereign was 4 Major Realms above Spirit Grandmaster.

In the Lower Daemon Realm, The Realm he was currently in, Spirit Grandmaster Level 10 was the limit.

After reaching said Level, one must meditate on all your discoveries during your cultivation journey thus far to achieve enlightenment.

After successfully breaking through, a Cultivator must then face The Heavenly Tribulation, where they will have to survive 9 strikes of Heavenly Thunder.

If you survive, the Pearly Gates will open for you and you will ascend to The Spirit Daemon Realm where the Cultivation Stages become Spirit Lord, Spirit King, Spirit Emperor, and finally Spirit Sovereign.

If someone were to receive a Spirit Sovereign Level Cultivation Technique in the Lower Daemon Realm, as long as they don't lose it, get it stolen, or die during Ascension, you're all but guaranteed to become a Big Shot in the Spirit Daemon Realm.

'That's actually not bad. I thought it would be more expensive.' He said with a hint of surprise.

[No, It isn't too bad on the wallet up until Spirit Sovereign. After that Point however, each Major Realm will double in cost. Trust me, the bill will add up quick if you aren't careful. It's best to wait until you have a large stockpile of Luck Points before you go really spending like crazy.]

Xin Jin thought about the systems words and after a few moments decided that it did make sense.

If he really thought about it, if some sword that he bought from the System could kill Gods and slay Buddhas, He figured it would probably cost Millions, if not Tens of Millions of Luck Points to buy it.

After all of this, He finally asked about some of the Techniques.

'What are the techniques at Spirit King?' He asked after making a decision.

[There are 2 suitable techniques at Spirit King that meet the requirements for Han Yi's 'Two Hearts, One Soul' physique. The first one being 300 Points called "Dreamlilly Fairyland Cultivation Technique" that focuses on Illusion based techniques to both charm and confuse the enemy, and the other being 375 points called "Great Yin Domain Technique" that focuses on trapping opponents and maintaining control over the battlefield by utilizing invisible strings made of Yin Energy.]

[Each Technique comes with sets of complimentary techniques including a movement technique, an offensive ability and defensive one.]

The System continued.

Xin Jin was actually very impressed with both options, but he almost instinctively knew which technique Han Yi would like best just based on the names.

'I'll take the Dreamlilly Fairyland Cultivation Technique.' Xin Jin instructed the system.

[Of Course.]

[Would you like to buy anything else?]

At this point, Xin Jin was just about done eating while Luo Mei and Gu Xian'er had seemingly come to some sort of arrangement, all of which Xin Jin missed as he was preoccupied with the System.

'No, Not right now.' He said internally.

He decided to first find out what kind of techniques they would want before just giving them something out of the blue.

In the next moment, all three ladies stood up, which brought their actions to his attention.

"I believe I can agree with your terms Big Sister Mei." Gu Xian'er said with a genuinely beautiful smile.

"I as well can accept them Little Sister Xian'er." Luo Mei replied sweetly as she brought the younger woman into a friendly hug.

Even Han Yi seemed to have begrudgingly accepted Gu Xian'er's presence.

Whatever they had talked about, it seemed to Xin Jin that at the very least he could breathe easily for the time being. Or so he hoped.

After staying and chatting for well into the afternoon, Gu Xian'er finally decided to take her leave, but before she walked out the gate, she asked Xin Jin a question "Would you like me to introduce you to a Butler and some house maids to take care of the chores?"

Xin Jin thought about it for a second before agreeing.

"Yes, I would appreciate it very much." He stated honestly.

"Okay. I will send over some candidates tomorrow morning." Gu Xian'er said with a big smile, before pecking him on the cheek and leaving with her guards.
