Alex and Brittany watched him go, a sense of satisfaction warming their hearts.
"That was a good side quest," Alex remarked with a satisfied grin.
Brittany raised an eyebrow at him, her expression a mix of amusement and disbelief. "You thought that was a side quest? It's just something we should do as adult, you know, help a kid out."
"We're not adults," Alex retorted playfully. "You're only seventeen."
"Actually, I'm eighteen," Brittany corrected with a smirk.
"Oh..." Alex replied, a sheepish grin spreading across his face.
A light chuckle escaped Brittany's lips. "Well, you're not exactly wrong. We are technically still teenagers."
"Hey, I'm mature for my age," Alex protested, puffing out his chest in mock offense.
Brittany laughed again, shaking her head. "Sure you are, Alex. Sure you are."
Silence fell between them for a moment, the playful banter fading away.
