Bruises here and there

Jake left his room and headed toward the cafeteria to grab some light breakfast as he wasn't that hungry. He saw some older boys bullying a boy. Jake recognized him, they had met on their first day coming here. The boy; Andrew was very lively and excited but now he looked like he hadn't been fed in months. On their first day, they did a test to test their abilities. Jake was quite lucky that his rank wasn't that low but the Andrew was not so lucky. He had gotten the lowest rank out of the whole school. And since then he had become a doormat to his seniors and even his classmates.

"You are like a stick. No muscles... if I stepped on you would you would you break? let's test that", one of the boys said chuckling as he began to stomp on Andrew and kicking his face. Jake gritted his teeth.

'Motherfuckers', He thought. He stepped forward. "What are you doing? Leave him alone"

The two older boys turned around. Jake saw their nametags, Lee Hwa-Young and Jung Dong-sun. They were Koreans.

"HA?! Oh, it's you. Are you the one who said that?" Hwa-Young asked.

"It must be someone else, Someone like him doesn't have the balls to do that.", Dong-sun said and came closer as his nose came close to Jake's. "RIGHT?". He licked the side of Jake's face causing the boy to throw a punch at him. Dong-sun stepped back dodging the punch and kicked Jake in the stomach. 

"That was the most fucking weakest punch ever thrown at me. Are you calling me weak?!" Dong-sun had stopped smiling and his face was scrunched up in pure anger. He slapped Jake across the face and continued slapping him till Jake's face was bleeding and covered in bruises. Hwa-Young was chuckling in the corner as he smoked a cigarette.

"We will remember your face boy", He said as he put out the cigarette on Jake's eye. Then he and Dong-sun left not before spitting on Jake's face. Andrew made his way to Jake helping him up.

"You didn't have to do that, Jake. I was handling them well but now you are a target too. I'm sorry." Andrew said as tears fell from his eyes.

"Stop crying, dude. It's fine. I guess? I'll head to the nurse's office"

Andrew followed behind him. After leaving the office they headed to class. In class, Jake wondered why he had helped Andrew. 'Was it because I pitied him? Or was it because i was friends with him before?' But before he could complete his thoughts, Quinn and Sam rushed up to him with concerned looks on their faces.

"Jake, What happened? Why do you have bruises?!", Quinn asked.

"Nothing happened Quinn... I ran into a wall", Jake said. He didn't want to worry his friends as today was Rank Change day. It would distract them.

"Jake. I know you are lying. But i won't ask i just want to know the names of the bastards who did this", Sam said gripping Jake's arm.

"It's fine. I'm not going to talk about it anymore."

Suddenly a girl rushed toward Andrew was was on his phone and slapped him. The whole class stood shocked at what happened.
