Episode 12 - Come To A Party

Previously: As the students returned after their Christmas break, Kitty began her time as coach of The New Directions, but when she brought Brittany in for some dance lessons with the kids, Reo quit the club. Kurt revealed that they would sell their house and move back to Lima.

An alarm blares off, waking Mia up from her sleep. As Mia sits up, she hears chattering coming from downstairs. Mia grabs her dressing gown and she walks out of her room.

Downstairs, Mia walks into the kitchen as Amanda says to Beth "so I'll be back tomorrow in the evening, please be nice to Mia, there's food in the cupboards, just call me if you need anything" Mia then says "where are you going?" Amanda then smiles "morning sweetheart, I have a meeting with my new boss, I need to leave or I'll be late" Mia nods "see you tomorrow" Amanda nods and she walks out of the house with a bag. Beth then looks at Mia and smiles "home alone for a night" Mia nods at her suspiciously "so?" Beth then grabs her phone and she says "so? Let's get the gang together, it's time for a party" Mia then says "seriously?" Beth nods at her "oh yes".

Kurt sits on his sofa blowing up some balloons as Blaine walks in. Kurt then stops blowing up the balloon and he smiles "morning sleepy head" Blaine smiles at him "what're you doing? I didn't forget a birthday, did I?" Kurt shakes his head "no, actually I organised something, I just thought it would be nice after everything that's happened recently" Blaine stares at him "I still don't understand" Kurt then laughs "I'm throwing a party!" Blaine then smiles at him "who's coming?" Kurt says "I invited everyone from your old film set, and I invited some people from the set of Funny Girl, and I invited a couple of our neighbours" Blaine nods at him "this will be awesome".

(Come To A Party, Dogfight starts to play)

Kurt starts to put some balloons up around the living room and he starts to sing "well you know my birthday now, shown you my middle name, see I'm an open book, have a look, this ain't no pick up game".

Blaine picks up some banners and he starts to put them up around the room and he then sings on his own "I heard your pretty voice, then we saw eye to eye on all that music stuff, not on fluff, we didn't have to try, now isn't that rare, that kind of connection".

Kurt then sings on his own again and sings "so why not come to a party with me, so why not come to this party, a five-piece band I'll take your hand, Blaine and twirl you around, buy you a drink, don't stop you think, say yes, come to a party with me, just say yes".

Back at Beth and Mia's house, Beth and Mia both stand in the bathroom, looking in the mirror and putting makeup on.

Beth smiles at herself in the mirror as she then starts to sing "born in Buffalo, to humble Christian folks, my old man raised me right, real polite, no tellin' dirty jokes".

Mia smiles as she then sings "a Wally Cleaver type, eat every brussels sprout, my mama's pride and joy, golden girl, your average Eagle scout, now look in these eyes".

Beth then sings on her own "they ain't gonna hurt you, so why not come to a party with me".

Mia then rolls her eyes at Beth.

Beth continues singing on her own "come on! It's just a party, a great excuse to cut it loose girl and do what you feel, hey just for a night, no holdin' tight, let go. Let's go. Come to a party with me, gonna be a real nice time, come on, what do you say?".

Mia then sings back on her own "if I go, well you know mom would be here on her own, she would die, I could lie, I couldn't lie to my, if I go she would know, look I'm not ready, we're closing it's early I still gotta work".

Beth then takes some of Mia's makeup off of her and Mia sings on her own "come on don't be a jerk, give it back Beth stop, look I still gotta mop, plus I don't really drink, see I really don't think I can come".

As Mia sings "I can't just get up and go, mama needs me around, I'd like to but I...Beth come on, I've got work to do, please".

Kurt, Blaine and Beth also sing "come to this party with me, look you can't miss this party, you'll meet my friends and when it ends yo, I'll race you right home, oh why cap the knife, we'll grab a bite, table for two, just me and you, candles and wine and intertwine".

Mia then runs over to the front door, and as she opens it, Elijah stands there smiling and holding flowers.

Elijah then ends the song "you'll miss out on one hell of a time, should be one rousin' party, well... I'm glad we met, I've gotta get, Mia, gosh you seem swell, still i's a shame, I thought if you came, who knows, maybe we coulda...".

Later in the day, music plays from inside Mia and Beth's house.

Inside the house are Mia, Beth, Elijah, Marcus, Kara, Kourtney, Nathan, Xander and many other Cheerio's and Glee Club members.

Mia sits resting in Elijah's arms as Beth downs another drink and is clearly over-intoxicated.

Elijah then says "think your sister has had enough to drink yet?" Mia then says "the more she drinks, the quieter the night will be for me" Elijah then laughs at her.

Elijah turns his head, where he sees Marcus sat in the corner of the room on his own.

Kara and Kourtney stand together dancing whilst both holding red cups full of alcohol.

Kara then wraps her arms around Kourtney. Kourtney smiles at her "think you've had enough to drink yet?" Kara then shakes her head "definitely not" Kourtney smiles and kisses Kara on the lips. Kara smiles at Kourtney and she kisses her back on the lips.

Beth stands dancing with both Nathan and Xander.

Beth then says "you two should talk more in Glee Club, you're both actually quite fun to be around" Nathan looks at her "well, I would, but we don't exactly get much time to shine" Beth smiles at the two of them "well, we definitely need to change that" Nathan nods at her "how?" Beth smiles "you'll have to remind me to put a good word in for you" Nathan smiles at her.

Elijah walks over to Marcus and he says "not having much fun?" Marcus looks up at Elijah "it's not that, I got stood up this morning before I came here. It was my first ever date with a guy, and he just stood me up, I felt humiliated" Elijah looks at Marcus "you'll find someone, sometimes it takes time and a lot of pain, but you will find someone, I promise" Marcus smiles at Elijah "thank you" Elijah then offers Marcus his hand and says "come on, let's get you up" Marcus nods at him.

Mia smiles at Elijah and Marcus as the two of them dance together.

Mia then walks over to the front door, and she walks outside and sits on a chair outside.

As Mia sits there, Ava then says "oh, hello?" Mia turns her head seeing Ava. Mia then says "hi? Who are you?" Ava smiles "I'm new, I moved in a couple of houses down, I'm starting at McKinley High soon, I was just on my way to store" Mia looks back at her house, and then at Ava "I'll come with you" Ava smiles "thanks?" Mia laughs "anything to get away from the party" Ava smiles.

(Party In The USA, Miley Cyrus starts to play)

Walking and smiling down the street together, Ava and Mia smile at each other.

Ava then starts to sing "I hopped off the plane at LAX, with a dream and my cardigan".

Mia then looks at Ava and sings "welcome to the land of fame excess".

Ava then sings "woah, am I gonna fit in?".

Mia then continues to sing "jumped in the cab, here I am for the first time, look to my right, and I see the Hollywood sign".

Ava then laughs and sings "this is all so crazy, everybody seems so famous, my tummy's turnin' and I'm feelin' kinda homesick, too much pressure and I'm nervous".

Mia then sings "that's when the taxi man turned on the radio, and a Jay-Z song was on, and a Jay-Z song was on, and a Jay-Z song was on".

Mia and Ava then both sing together "so I put my hands up, they're playing my song, the butterflies fly away, I'm noddin' my head like, yeah, movin' my hips like, yeah, I got my hands up, they're playing my song, they know I'm gonna be okay, yeah, it's a party in the U.S.A., yeah, it's a party in the U.S.A.".

Back in the Lake House, Elijah then starts to sing "get to the club in my taxi cab, everybody's looking at me now".

Beth winks and Nathan and she sings "like, "Who's that chick, that's rockin' kicks? She gotta be from out of town".

Marcus smiles at Elijah, as Kara and Kourtney dance behind them and Marcus sings "so hard with my girls not around me, it's definitely not a Nashville party".

Kara then sings "'cause all I see are stilettos, I guess I never got the memo".

Kourtney smiles at Kara and she sings "my tummy's turnin' and I'm feelin' kinda homesick, too much pressure and I'm nervous, that's when the DJ dropped my favourite tune, and a Britney song was on".

Beth sings "and a Britney song was on".

Marcus then belts out "and a Britney song was on".

Elijah, Beth, Marcus, Nathan, Xander, Kara and Kourtney all sing "so I put my hands up, they're playing my song, the butterflies fly away, I'm noddin' my head like, yeah, movin' my hips like, yeah, I got my hands up, they're playing my song, they know I'm gonna be okay, yeah, it's a party in the U.S.A., yeah, it's a party in the U.S.A.".

Mia then sings "feel like hopping on a flight".

Ava sings "on a flight".

Kara sings "back to my hometown tonight".

Kourtney sings "town tonight".

Nathan sings "something stops me every time".

Xander sings "every time".

Elijah then belts out "the DJ plays my song and I feel alright".

Everyone then sings "so I put my hands up, they're playing my song, the butterflies fly away, I'm noddin' my head like, yeah, movin' my hips like, yeah, I got my hands up, they're playing my song, they know I'm gonna be okay, yeah, it's a party in the U.S.A., yeah, it's a party in the U.S.A.".

As Mia then belts out "so I put my hands up".

Ava laughs "ha-ha-ha-ha".

Music plays inside Kurt and Blaine's house.

Kurt smiles at Blaine as people enjoy themselves.

Blaine then looks at Kurt "you were right, this is amazing, thank you Kurt" Kurt smiles at Blaine "Blaine, I would do anything to make sure you're happy, you are my husband, and I love you so much" Blaine looks at Kurt "listen, I was thinking about what you said, about us moving to Lima, and I think it's a great idea, being back where we belong, where we met, I think it would be the best thing we did" Kurt nods at him "I know it would" Blaine smiles at Kurt and they kiss.

As music continues to play at Beth and Mia's house.

Elijah sits on a chair watching everyone.

Beth and Nathan dance together.

Elijah then watches as Mia walks into the house with Ava.

Elijah smiles at Mia, and then at Ava "hey" Ava smiles "hey again" Mia then says "oh, you've met?" Elijah nods "I met a couple of days ago after I dropped you off home" Mia smiles.

Beth points over at Mia and she shouts "FINALLY, LET'S GET THIS PARTY PROPERLY GOING!".

(5, 6, 7, 8, Steps starts to play)

Blaine then sits "it's time to begin now count it in, 5-6-7-8".

Kurt starts to sing "my boot-scootin' baby is drivin' me crazy, my obsession from a western, my dance floor date, my rodeo Romeo, a cowboy God from head to toe, wanna make you mine better get in line, 5-6-7-8".

As music continues to play in Beth and Mia's house, everyone dances.

Nathan stands in the middle of a circle, where everyone is dancing around him, Nathan then sings "foot kickin', finger clickin', leather slapping, hand clappin', hip bumpin', music thumpin', knee hitchin', heel and toe, floor scuffin', leg shufflin', big grinnin', body spinnin', rompin' stompin', pumpin' jumpin', slidin' glidin', here we go!".

In Beth and Mia's house, everyone is dancing and harmonising.

Blaine and Kurt smile at everyone as he dances, and they then both sing "my boot-scootin' baby is drivin' me crazy, my obsession from a western, my dance floor date, my rodeo Romeo, a cowboy God from head to toe, wanna make you mine better get in line, 5-6-7-8".

Mia starts laughing at everyone and everyone smiles. Mia then takes a sip of some drink and she looks at Beth, then at Elijah and she says "come on guys, let's go outside". Beth then smiles at Mia.

Everyone runs outside together, where a band all stand together with their instruments, rain is dropping down and Mia looks up at the sky, getting soaked.

Mia turns around, looking at everyone as makeup runs down her face and she then smiles as the band start to play.

(Shut Up And Dance, WALK THE MOON)

Mia then smiles and she starts to sing "Oh don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me, I said you're holding back he said shut up and dance with me".

Elijah starts walking over to Mia smiling as he sings "this woman is my destiny, she said oh oh oh, shut up and dance with me".

The Band continue to play music as everyone runs outside, dancing in the rain together.

Nathan looks around, smiling at everyone and he sings "we were victims of the night, the chemical, physical, kryptonite".

Xander then sings "helpless to the bass and the fading light, oh we were bound to get together, bound to get together".

Elijah and Mia dance together as Elijah sings "she took my arm, I don't know how it happened, we took the floor and she said".

Mia, Beth, Ava, Kara and Kourtney sing together "oh don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me, I said you're holding back, she said shut up and dance with me".

Elijah smiles as he sings "this woman is my destiny, she said oh oh oh, shut up and dance with me".

Marcus walks over, stealing the spotlight and he sings "a backless dress and some beat up sneaks, my discotheque Juliet teenage dream".

Kourtney then sings "I felt it in my chest as she looked at me, I knew we were bound to be together, bound to be together".

Kara and Kourtney then link arms as Kara sings "he took my arm, I don't know how it happened, we took the floor and he said".

Elijah, Marcus, Nathan and Xander all then sing "oh don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me, I said you're holding back, he said shut up and dance with me, this woman is my destiny, he said oh oh oh, shut up and dance with me".

Xander then shouts "oh, c'mon girl".

Ava then looks over at Elijah flirtatiously, and Elijah looks at her, until he then looks at Mia and sings "deep in her eyes, I think I see the future, I realize this is my last chance, she took my arm, I don't know how it happened, we took the floor and she said".

Nathan then sings "oh don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me, I said you're holding back, she said shut up and dance with me, this woman is my destiny, she said oh oh oh, shut up and dance".

Everyone stands outside laughing, and soaking wet from the rain.

As everyone hugs together, Elijah then looks over at Ava nervously.

Kurt waves as a man walks out of the house. Kurt smiles "I'll see you later, thanks for coming".

Blaine then smiles at Kurt "today has been amazing, and I can't thank you enough, these last few weeks have been hard, I'm just so grateful to have you in my life" Kurt smiles at Blaine "and I'm just as grateful, I love you" Blaine smiles "come on, let's go to bed" Kurt nods at him.

Next Time - Calling Reinforcements - As Sue returns back to McKinley High, she decides to start her own Glee Club. With the New Directions starting to lose hope in Kitty leading them, she is forced to call in for some help, trying to bring them all back together. But when they hear about Sue starting her own Glee Club, they all start to join. Kitty gets worried about the future.
