"At this point, do you think I have any reason to deceive you?" Taran replied coldly.
Hearing this, the group exchanged glances. Though they found it hard to comprehend what he had told them, they also knew that he had no reason to lie to them at this point.
"When I learned of the true intentions of the Cult Leader, I immediately wanted to escape. However, the strength of the Blood Moon Sect is terrifying, and I had no chance against them. Eventually, I was locked up, and then you all came in, one by one," Taran continued.
"Why did the Cult Leader choose us then?" the young man with a furrowed brow asked.
"Because your bodies all meet the conditions for the Cult Leader's resurrection," Taran replied.
The young man hesitated for a couple of seconds, then loudly exclaimed, "You must be lying! If the Cult Leader really intends to use our bodies for his resurrection, why did he wait until now to take action?"
