As the group was on their way back to the house. They only had about 2 hours to call Lota and report on what was going on. While they were on their way. Spike had to slow down because there was black ash floating around and it was making it hard to see.
"Hey, is their always black ash floating around here?"
Spike asked. It was his first time around Puerto Rico, and only Dwight was giving out the directions to get back to the house.
"No... There aren't any volcanoes around here if I'm sure of it, so this is new to me."
Dwight said. Spike then heard Dwight and stopped the car. It was best to wait it out, but Dennis felt that something was wrong.
"Stop the car."
Dennis said. Spike immediately stopped place the car in park. He then turned around to hear out Dennis.
"We probably going to get ambushed if we keep going. Best to come up with a plan now than ever."
Dennis said. Everyone else was thinking on the same thing, but it was hard to come up with a plan. As they all waited in silence, Dennis's left eye and Dj's eyes glowed. Giving them a warning that an enemy is close by.
"Floor it!!"
Dennis said. Spike then switched the car on to drive and stepped hard on the gas pedal, but the car was being held back by something.
"Guys... I think we're stuck..."
Spike said. Everyone then got off the car. They knew what would have happened if they stayed on any longer. But Dennis stood inside the car to take on the enemy.
"Dennis!?! Get off the car now!"
Owen said. Dennis then shocks his head and teared a hole in the car's roof with his left hand. He then dropped a bright red orb inside the car.
"Is me that you want right!?! Then bring it!!"
Dennis said out loud. He was calling out to the enemy, and he felt the car was being pulled towards the way they are heading. With no further doubt, Dennis jumped off the car once it got pulled.
"Explosive flames."
Dennis said as he snapped his fingers in his left hand. Then they all heard an explosion coming from the way the car got pulled, but the ashes didn't clear away. Everyone felt uneasy about what could happen next.
"Go!!"
Dennis said. Everyone then made a run for it in the direction that they need to go. Spike took the front in case the enemy sends a projectile while Dennis and Spike were right behind them. Dwight was right behind Dennis, while Owen was right behind Dwight to give cover to fire. While as for Donte, he was moving slowly, and he was hard to notice his presence.
As they all pushed through. Everyone was ready to call out their weapons, getting themselves prepared for a attack.
"Do you two pick anything?"
Dwight asked Dennis and Dj. Since they are the only two that could sense the enemy for now.
"Yea... but it's getting hard to pinpoint their exact location!"
Dj said. As they all kept running, Dennis realized what was going on. He glances up and sees an orb floating above them. It was giving him a bad vibe that asked for it to be destroyed.
"Owen, up high!!"
Dennis said. Owen then looked and called out his weapon. He quickly took aim with one hand and pulled the trigger, but it didn't have no effect.
"That thing is not living... It's a machine!"
Owen said. He then called off his weapon and continued running.
"Then we just better destroy with brute force!!"
Dj suggested. He then called out his weapon and was ready to take the fight to the sky.
"Right on that!"
Dennis said. He was ready to follow-up on Dj to take the matters into their own hands. But then they felt someone was getting close in the direction they all are running.
"Dj!!"
"I'm on it!!"
Dj then quickly passed by Spike with a charged left fist. Dennis then snapped his middle finger from his right hand and called out his weapon now for an attack. As they both approached, Dj took left side while Dennis teleport on the right side for dual strike. But as soon as their attacks landed, they felt as they struck on a metal object.
"You... got to be kidding me..."
Dj said. He then backed out and was shaking his hand to ease the pain away.
"Wait... You can't be serious..."
Dennis said. He then took a step back and held his weapon with both hands. They then jumped back after sensing burst of energy. And as the area was black and gray, they saw a swing of a weapon clearing the ashes in their direction. Dennis's left eye was glowing intensely. It then seemed like the glow was leaking out uncontrollably. It forced Dennis to remember an old acquaintance that was a girl suited in black armor and they had red long hair.
"Ash..."
As Dennis said out a name. The enemy was approaching in full suited armor and with an eye patch on their left eye.
"To think you remember my name right in the spot... You must be aware of what is going on."
"More or less..."
Dennis said. He recognized that it was the person he met before in his past, but he dropped all formalities since he only sees is an enemy.
"Look, I just came here to get the king's son. We can avoid confrontation if possible."
"Then why are you working with them...?"
Dj asked. He stood in front of Dennis to give enough time for a plan.
"That doesn't concern you at all."
Ash said. She only had one goal in mind, and she didn't care if he had to beat or kill Dennis to fulfill it.
"Then I guess you left us no choice..."
Dennis said. He then called off his weapon and ended up with only using his fists.
"Dennis, what are you doing?!"
"She knows how I use a sword, so I have only this way of fighting left."
Dennis said. He pointed his right fist at Ash. Getting ready for a fight if possible.
"You are aware of my knowledge, but you will die if you don't get out of this area."
Ash said. Dj and Dennis then wondered on what she said until they realized what it was.
"Black mist..."
Dennis said as a black mist was coming out of his body. He then snapped his fingers, and the mist was pushing the ashes away.
"Well done... But I'll back soon for him..."
Ash said. She then gave a step back, and she vanished into the black ashes. As Dennis and Dj watched Ash disappear, the others then showed and was worried about what was going on.
"Are you two alright?"
Dwight asked. He was the first to approach, and he was looking around as if he could spot someone, but he had no luck.
"It's fine, we just saw a ghost..."
Dj said. He was trying to make up a lie so that no one else could find out. But his lie didn't fool Spike since he could tell what truly happened by only looking at Dennis.
"Okay... Then let's get going, the ashes are gone for now so we don't know when it will come back."
Spike said. He then grabbed on to Dennis's back to give him a push forward. Thus, they all set their way back to X's house.
