After seeing those, Wallace winced in pain again as the strange, futuristic bracelet glowed and tightened on his hands.
"Ow!"
The pain was fast when it came and as fast when it disappeared in an instant.
"Huh?"
Suddenly, a button appeared at the center of his bracelet, with glowing blue words written on the glass, telling him what to do and see what's inside.
[ Connected.
[ Please press the button. ]
Wallace couldn't help but keep staring at it as the morning sun shone on the bracelet, making it look magical.
Unable to resist his curiosity of whatever this is, Wallace stopped and turned to his butler, Mendez.
"Butler, do you see this?" he asked, pointing at the mysterious bracelet object on his wrist.
What was this strange device?
Could it be a show of Noble's power, or something else?
These questions made Wallace want to find the answers by asking directly those he thought knew about it.
Which is—the butler.
However, Butler Mendez frowned, looking like he didn't understand what the young baron was up to.
Confused, he asked, "What is it, young Baron sir?"
His eyes were on Wallace's pointing hand.
Yet his actions and strange reactions made Wallace realize that Butler couldn't see this thing. Instantly, his eyes stared into the distance, traveling a thousand miles, and without hesitation, he pressed the mysterious button, leaving Mendez surprised by his action.
"Young Baron sir?" Mendez stammered at the sudden event.
Ignoring the butler's question, Wallace's attention went to the holographic screen that appeared on his wrist.
With a chiming sound, a message showed up on the hologram.
[ Welcome to the Gaming Empire…
[ Available gaming dungeons: Predator versus Aliens. ]
Seeing this, immediately, Wallace couldn't take his eyes off the picture next to the words [ Predator vs Alien. ]
"Is this for real or am I just seeing things?"
He asked.
Curious and Confused.
So he examined the image up close, only to widen his eyes and discover if this is what he was thinking it is.
After a few seconds, he tried it again! And then he did it again, at least seven times, just to make sure.
Butler Mendez on the side was even bewildered by his actions.
However, to Wallace, the picture remained the same, reflecting a famous movie and game that had made him addicted in the past.
A game from his home planet, Earth!
It was a world where Predators, known as the Vamstroja clan, ruled.
//*Cannot use Yautja, they told me to change the appearance and what they are called*//
These otherworldly creatures, with their advanced technology, fierce hunting skills, and tribal customs, sparked his imagination.
They traveled the universe in organized groups, what Wallace liked about them is that they are bound by an unwavering code of honor that guided their hunts.
They were like an advanced and professional hunter.
Strength, skill, and bravery were their most valued qualities, and they sought worthy opponents for the ultimate test of combat.
Under the leadership of wise clan leaders, their unearthly appearance had a ghostly paleness, resembling braided pale white humans but surpassing them in all aspects.
The Vamstroja, as they were known, symbolized a culture immersed in the art of hunting and the pursuit of honor.
Their insatiable desire to prove themselves and secure their place in society permeated their existence.
In a dark twist, they took pleasure in bathing in the fresh blood of their prey, an evolutionary ritual that fueled their own evolution to become a higher level of Vamstroja. And their greatest adversaries, the ones they delighted in hunting with a passion akin to love, were the mysterious 'Aliens.'
In short, they are advanced nano-technological vampires that love to bathe in fresh blood to evolve!
"Wow, is this real?"
Wallace's words of disbelief escaped his lips.
"Is this what I think it is? One of my favorite games on Earth!
"An open-world Predator game where the player starts as a young, unbloodied predator, not a true Young Blood.
"Then the player rises up by completing hunts, upgrading their gear, obtaining new armor and weapons, engaging in Xeno boss fights, hunting down other alien prey, and becoming an enforcer to track down bad bloods and more.
"Essentially, this game allows the players to explore the lore of the Predators or Vamstroja race..."
Yet, on the other side of the 'Predator vs Alien' label, an image enticed him, adorned with an intriguing word that sparked his curiosity:
[ Play? ]
The mysterious invitation made his heart pound with excitement, tempting him!
What's he supposed to do?
Should he do it now?
However, when he clicked it, it didn't work.
"Hun?"
Wallace was confused. He did not give up and did a few more times just to make sure.
However, it still wouldn't work.
Suddenly, a message appeared.
[ Not enough access.
[ Please invite players. ]
On the side, Butler Mendez, standing by his side, sensed Wallace's confusion and concern.
A touch of worry appeared on his face as he gently tapped Wallace's shoulder, breaking the spell of contemplation on Wallace's mind.
"Sir, young sir Baron, are you okay?"
Butler's voice cut through the haze of Wallace's thoughts, grounding him in the present.
Wallace shifted his gaze from the image to the concerned Butler, his face still marked with bewilderment. Then, his response came out as a faint whisper.
"Huh?"
Reality collided with fantasy as Wallace abruptly woke up, his bewildered expression slowly fading, but not completely gone.
"Oh."
Wallace looked around, his eyes scanning the scene in front of him.
Eventually, his gaze landed back on Butler Mendez, who seemed both content and determined.
Mendez let out a satisfied breath, expressing a hint of relief. "Let's go, sir," he said with relief, "we still need to talk to them..."
Wallace felt the weight of those words, stirring something deep within his mind.
Suddenly, Wallace snapped back to reality completely as if woken from a dream. His thoughts cleared, and he nodded in agreement, speaking calmly.
"Let's go," he said, aiming to ease any concerns Mendez might have had in his head.
With confusion still etched on his face, Wallace took a step forward.
Butler Mendez and young Baron Wallace, accompanied by a group of ordinary soldiers, approached the eight figures standing before them.
Wallace remembered Mendez's words, so he thought seven are Mana Knights and one mage, all called Mana users.
Looking at them, he couldn't help but feel that each Mana Knight had an air of mystery, their appearances suggesting the battles they had fought and the hardships they had endured.
The first Mana Knight, a towering figure, stood confidently in shining armor that reflected the sunlight. His sharp, piercing eyes gave Wallace the sense that this man had seen and been through countless battles.
The second Mana Knight, despite his simple clothing, exuded power and authority. His rugged features indicated a life faced with challenges, his eyes burning with unwavering determination. He stood tall, commanding respect and attention not only from Wallace but the Butler and the surrounding soldiers.
The third Mana Knight had an air of graceful elegance, every movement deliberate and graceful. His silver hair, touched with wisdom, framed a face that radiated quiet confidence. His eyes, like pools of steel, held knowledge beyond his youthful appearance.
The fourth Mana Knight, with a strong build and weathered face, bore the scars of many battles. His calloused, strong hands spoke of a life lived on the edge of danger. Despite his rough exterior, there was warmth in his eyes that hinted at hidden compassion.
The fifth Mana Knight possessed silent strength, his gaze steady and unwavering. Each movement displayed controlled power, and his presence exuded authority. His emerald eyes seemed to hold a secret wisdom, unnoticed by casual observers.
The sixth Mana Knight moved gracefully, shrouded in shadows, a product of years of training. His eyes sparkled with intensity, matching the flickering candlelight, hinting at a mysterious past. A sense of danger clung to him, like an invisible cloak woven from the fabric of the night.
The seventh Mana Knight wore vibrant robes, emanating wisdom and serenity. His ancient, knowing eyes seemed to see through the passage of time itself. When he spoke, his voice carried the weight of years past and the promise of the future.
Finally, completing the circle of Mana Knights, stood the eighth figure—a man dressed humbly, resembling a beggar.
Yet, Wallace could feel there was an undeniable mysterious power surrounding him, setting him apart from the others.
