Now that's brutal interrupted Enoch staring forward as we came across another set of monster bodies that seemed to have being dismembered only this time there were signs of a retreat before a massercre ensued from the predator to the preys. after examining the schene of battle and the corpses that was the assumption from both Cruz and Enoch, but Cruz still stood close to the corpses of the slain beasts examining it when Enoch interrupted her by asking if something was wrong.

yeah, replied Cruz with a thinker pose, based on the battle schene the monster seem to have fled after the first encounter with this predator and ran in the direction ahead of us. But for a pack of beast to flee rather than to stand and fight means they ascertained the power of their predator. wow, so we are looking at the corpses of some rare beast or their predator could overwhelm them in power and fear, Exactly, replied Cruz, but normally monsters of these levels don't possess the required IQ except the pack leader.

wait, so your saying the leader denoted their predator a highly dangerous, yes that means the leader probably fled as well. No, if the leader was to have fled, all the pack members would have attacked together rather than being picked up. If i had to guess the pack leader died first in an attempt to flee after activating all buffs on it's companions then tried making a run for it, due to the drawback of the buff being the division of the pack leader's power by 3/4, leaving the leader crippled for about a day or two while doubling it's companions strength.

i don't get it said Herman, what i am saying is despite the overwhelming power boost, whatever was chasing them was able to strike fear in their hearts enough for their survival instinct to over-ride their death sentence from the pack leader and flee individually.

After hearing Cruz opinion on the possible outcomes, Enoch replied i guess we are going on a reconnaissance mission as well then. yes, replied Cruz to Enoch, Enoch set him up with some gears, and prepare for battle, we got company ahead and it seems we are gonna have to fight or be hunted cause they've long since locked on us and are coming straight at us.
