"Olivia is Too Cool!"
Bella's eyes sparkled with admiration, practically glowing with awe as she witnessed the scene unfolding below like a natural disaster. "Olivia is amazing!"
"She's like a goddess up there!" Emily added, wide-eyed.
In nearly every myth and legend, catastrophic floods represented nature's unmatched fury. Against such overwhelming forces, humanity's resistance always seemed small and futile. Right now, Louge Town was experiencing that firsthand.
Time moved slowly in the chaos. Despite Olivia's command over the storm's thunder and lightning, the relentless rain showed no sign of stopping. The people of Louge Town had never imagined they'd face a day like this. Their homes, built low to the ground, were now half-submerged, and it seemed inevitable that if the downpour continued, the entire town—and perhaps the entire island—would be swallowed by water.
John observed the scene with a faint smile. "This is the wrath of nature," he said calmly. "But for the truly strong, this level of force is nothing more than a way to clear out the small fry."
He glanced at Dragon, who was preparing to fight back. The leader of the Revolutionary Army wasn't one to just endure an electric storm without responding. Even a Logia user couldn't simply disappear when attacked; if Dragon fully transformed into wind, his physical form still existed, vulnerable to unavoidable strikes from Olivia's lightning.
Dragon watched as the continuous lightning strikes kept coming, and, even though the damage was minimal, he clearly wasn't about to let this continue unchecked. With a determined expression, he looked skyward and uttered a single command: "Wind!"
A hurricane whipped to life around Dragon, forming a swirling vortex that carved out a clear, empty space around him, shielding him from Olivia's lightning. But it didn't stop there. The vortex expanded outward, growing larger by the second.
Smoker, who had already been struggling in the floodwater, rolled his eyes and groaned as the winds yanked him into the swirling waterspout. He'd lost all his strength between the electric shocks and the rising water, and now he was helplessly drawn into the powerful vortex.
The swirling winds kept building, transforming into a colossal waterspout with Dragon at its center, devouring rainwater and growing ever larger. Under the pitch-black sky, the towering waterspout seemed to pierce through the storm, like a relentless force breaking through rock. It became a giant, unstoppable force of nature.
"That thing… is a monster!" Sarah gasped.
"Is there any way to beat him now?" Jessica wondered aloud, anxiety in her voice.
"It's coming this way!" Bella shouted.
The "thing" they referred to was the monstrous waterspout that Dragon had summoned. Against the torrential rain, it moved upward, relentlessly climbing toward the storm clouds, showcasing Dragon's incredible power.
Olivia had used the perfect moment and environment to her advantage, amplifying her abilities to a scale she normally couldn't manage. Creating rain clouds that spanned several kilometers was already her limit. But with Dragon supplying the massive clouds, Olivia's Cloud-Cloud Fruit powers had reached unimaginable heights.
"This is the power of the Cloud-Cloud Fruit," John noted, watching as the waterspout grew closer. Thanks to his protection, he and the girls were unaffected, though the enormous waterspout climbed past them, stretching toward the sky and drawing the storm clouds even higher.
John watched the shifting clouds and smiled. "It's almost time," he murmured. Then, he took the girls, and in an instant, they vanished from the clouds.
Dragon, still in the center of the swirling waterspout, paused. His eyes flicked to where John and the others had been. He couldn't see John, but the lone white cloud that had been hovering there caught his attention. Unlike the surrounding dark clouds, it had been unaffected by the raging storm, sitting stubbornly low and out of place.
Dragon had tried to test the strange white cloud earlier, but his efforts hadn't worked. Now, with John and his group gone, the cloud was sucked into the vortex, and the storm began to waver. The vast expanse of black clouds over Louge Town seemed to lose their power, their form weakening as if they had lost their guiding force.
Dragon frowned. "They've disappeared?" he muttered.
Using his Haki, he scanned the clouds for any sign of Olivia, but her presence had vanished. With her control gone, Dragon's waterspout surged upward, smashing through the center of the storm clouds. The black sky fractured, and the storm began to break apart.
"They really left," Dragon whispered, confirming his suspicions. He expanded his Haki, sweeping the skies for any sign of their presence, but found nothing. He sighed, using his wind powers to disperse the remaining storm clouds.
This encounter left Dragon thoughtful. He was used to commanding the weather without ever facing a challenger, but today he had been caught off guard. Even someone as mentally disciplined as Dragon couldn't help feeling a bit frustrated. Who had the nerve to engage in such a battle, only to leave without a word?
Amazon Lily
John and the Edge Horizon team reappeared on Amazon Lily, far from the chaos they had just left behind. Olivia, who had been riding high on the Cloud-Cloud Fruit's amplified power, was exhausted. Despite Dragon providing the large storm clouds, maintaining control had drained her.
"You did great, Olivia," John said with a smile. "But remember, even with an advantage like that, physical strength is crucial if you want to reach that level."
Olivia panted, her cheeks flushed from exertion, but her eyes shone with excitement. "That was… incredible!" she managed to say between breaths. "It felt like I had the power of a natural disaster."
She paused, remembering Dragon's overwhelming presence. "But that guy… I don't think I could ever beat him."
John chuckled. "Dream big, huh? You want to take down Dragon already?" he teased. Then he thought for a moment. It made sense—players always imagined themselves as equals to in-game characters.
"You got lucky this time, but that won't always be the case. If you want to wield that level of power again, you need to train hard," John said, offering a bit of encouragement.
The rest of the Edge Horizon team stood in stunned silence. None of them had ever witnessed a battle of this magnitude.
"Is this… really what a Logia user is capable of?" Emily asked, still in awe.
John grinned. "This was just a taste. There's more to come, and it only gets crazier from here."
