14. Villagers of Avalon

Mark was after the villagers who trusted and followed him to this village, although the lord was nice to them and provided them a place to rest and welcomed them as the village's residents. He was still worried about his old village, all the people who died to the bandits and the ones who survived and are starving in the wildlands.

Just when he was done checking on the villagers to see if they were all okay and no one was injured and everyone was able to rest properly he heard someone walking towards his group as he became vigilant as he stared at the man who brought them shelter.

Although he knew there will be some people with good professions in this first batch of villagers due to the tutorial rewards it was still good to find someone with social and management skills.

Noel scanned all the village and coughed a little as he said, "Everyone, I know that all of you are tired and scared from your journey. But fear not as residents of Avalon you now have shelter. Our guardians of Avalon have gone out to rescue any villagers as well as scout your old village to look for some survivors."

Although the carpenter and the mason were just C rating, beggars can't be choosers and Noel was not a beggar as he's the one with the most promising start in the game. So he welcomed them all with open arms.

With the rest of the villagers being 3 C Rated Farmers, 2 B Rated Farmer,1 B Rated Trainee Chef , 2 C Rated Wood Worker, and 3 B Rated Wood Worker. Looking at the group of people and after inspecting everyone statuses Noel called out Jin the Chef and his apprentice with him to the kitchen and showed him the supplies that he had bought from the market earlier.

Then with the help of a few villagers warm, hot vegetable soup and rice were served to all the villagers who had been starving for a few days. Most of them had tears of joy on their faces as they ate the food that was served.

Jin placed a tray with food on the lord's dining table and served him the food that was cooked, "My Lord, Your lunch."

Although it was a simple lunch, Noel didn't deny it and with noble etiquette started eating the food. He didn't try to act humble and start to eat together with the villagers, cause this game is set in the medieval era and his position was a lord of the village with a title of baron so he had to act the part or people won't take him seriously and will even think he was a fake lord.
