I take Victor and Thea on a tour around the ship. They're both impressed and shock when they see that there's some things that they recognize and didn't. The easiest thing that they recognize is the fact that I have the Dark Abyss Gem with me and they recognize the shape is similar to that in their ship.
"Captain... That..." Victor pointed at that Abyss Gem. Naturally, I just smiled and said "I scavenge it off of your ship. It's only natural that I scavenge what's inside your wreckage, right? At least now, you are in a ship with a good engine and system."
"Yeah... I guess so... I can get behind that idea." Thea muttered, not having a problem with me stealing the living shit out of their ship.
Victor sigh and agrees to Thea as well. But he still looked confused with how I can move their Gem into my ship and how I can integrate the engine into my ship all by myself...
"I know that face, Victor. Since you have a pretty interesting question, I'll answer it." I said toward Victor. Once again, he's confused with a look of 'How the hell are you able to know what I'm thinking.'
"To put it simply, I have an important system that I have that is able to help me autonomously. Similar to that of an AI. But a lot smarter than normal AI."
"Really? How good is this AI that you spoke of?"
"Gaidos."
"Understood. Hello, Victor Kaizen. You have some question and I shall answer. My name is Gaidos and I am the system that was created by the Galaxy Overlord." Gaidos introduced itself to Victor and Thea, although not directly.
Thea vocalized her surprise when she heard about the name 'Galaxy Overlord.' "Damien Lilles himself?!"
Gaidos chuckle for a bit and can be heard a getting a little bit proud when others recognize Damien Lilles "Indeed. I was created by Late Captain Damien Lilles. And it is my task now to help Captain Noah Aldridge."
Both Victor and Thea then looked at me like I'm some sort of special guy...
"It seems like, we made the right choice following you, Captain." Victor claimed. I don't understand why he says it but I don't really intend to gather information regarding it. Since I'll let time itself unfold the truth to me.
"Well, no need to look that tense, Victor, Thea. We're pretty much folks with similar situation... You guys lose your hometown because you failed them, while I lose my hometown due to an invasion of the space orcs. We're in the same ship and know what it felt..."
"... So you're from Divine Lucia then." Victor muttered. To which, I nod.
"Indeed, I am from the Divine Lucia. We're supposed to be not in a good relation due to the difference of our home, but now... Failures and Destruction bring us all together."
"It is Ironic. The Divine Lucia, known as a peaceful place, was destroyed by the nasty orcs. And us, the strongest spearhead of Mother Nihility, failed in a task... Leaving us all stranded together..." Thea agreed to my statement.
Now that everyone is in the same thought process, there's no way that our journey would be skewed. At least, not for a long time.
It's time for me to get them to my side thoroughly. I have put us in the same ship, using the fact that we're both struggling failures trying our best to survive now. No matter how strong we are, there's no guarantee in survival.
Next part of my agenda is to make us dependent on each other. They need my ship and I need their firepower. Utilizing their strength is the key for me to actually get them to my side. If they have a bad thought, they don't know what hit them. Hopefully they're loyal...
"Well then, since Mother Nihility is not an option for us anymore, I'm planning to go to the Dark Abyssal Mine. Anyone have any problem with it?" I asked for Victor and Thea's thought because I don't really want to put them in an awkward position by just doing everything that I wanted without asking their thought first.
"Dark Abyssal Mine? Do you plan on getting more Dark Abyss Gem? If that's the case, then may I give you some information?" Victor seems to have other idea. Which is why it's better if I ask what their thought were.
"Yes, I am going there to get some more of that. I figured that A Gem with such purity would be useful to upgrade the ship and also make weaponry. Isn't your weapons and armors are created using that?"
"Most of our armor are made using that base material. But, there's some other important thing that allow us to mold the armor and actually turn it into an armor that is breathable and immune to the space pressure." Victor explained something that I didn't really know.
I smiled when I heard that and then sat on the cockpit.
"Well then, Victor. It seems like you understand things more than I do. What should we do now?"
"I suggest that we go far from Mother Nihility and anything that they're connected with. Also, although Dark Abyss Gem is a very good material due to its purity and strength... It's not exactly the best of the best. There's a few more material that is better than Dark Abyss Gem."
"Really, Victor? If that's the case, why do your legion rely on the gem? I feel like if you guys are invested with those material, it gives you a better chance of winning against the Space Worm, no?" After I ask that, it's not Victor who explained the answer. It's Thea, and she was a bit salty with the fact.
"Truth is, Abyssal Null Knight is a legion of disposable strong troops of Mother Nihility. Yes we are strong, but it doesn't necessarily means that we're the most important part of Mother Nihility. Dark Abyss Gem is a product that was given by the Mine as a payment for protecting the Mine. In Dark Abyssal Mine, there's other material that is stronger than Dark Abyss Gem, but naturally, they are not going to give it for free to Mother Nihility. Those material are called the Mystic Nature Gem." Her explanation piqued my interest...
I vocalized my interests naturally "Mystic Nature Gem?"
