Naomi's footsteps paused, and she subconsciously stepped back. "No! I'm innocent!"
"We will consider whether you are innocent or not. " Saying this, the police, disregarding Naomi's wishes, forcibly led her away from the scene.
Mrs. Sweeney, sensing the situation, rushed forward. "You can't take her away! My daughter is innocent!"
The police remained expressionless. "If she is innocent, we will certainly clear her name. Right now, we need to take her in for questioning. We hope you cooperate; otherwise, we will take measures against you for obstructing official duties."
Upon hearing this, Mrs. Sweeney hesitated. She looked at Naomi, pursed her lips, and said, "Naomi, don't worry. Your father and I will find a way outside."
With that, she took a step back.
As Naomi was being taken away, Mrs. Burg hurriedly approached. "Miss Sweeney, you promised to give me five million. You mustn't go back on your word!"
