from toni stark to walburga black

Toni Stark had known she would die : from the moment she had been told about the prospect of time travel, she knew she would have to leave Morgan behind. But if it was the price to get Peter back, she would have done it a thousand times. The only thing she hadn't been expecting was...to suddenly wake up as Walburga Black, next to two frightened children and a scared husband.

Morgana(II)/Orion(II)/Peter(I)

Her spontaneous decision not to visit Ollivander had been the right one after all; as soon as she walked by his shop, she felt a sort of compulsion to go inside and purchase her wand from the famous crafter. Her own mind was battling with her will which was why she pulled herself together and walked even faster towards the shady business street. She had read a lot about Knockturn Alley from the books and Rowling had been courteous enough to explain some aspects of the Wizarding World from her. There was something that many readers had not picked up and it was some behavioral issues. It was easy to believe Albus Dumbledore was the nice wizard that was currently trying to save everyone, but Rowling had been incessant over the fact that Voldemort and the Headmaster were cut from the same cloth. Both were half bloods that had been disparaged and had harbored extremists ideas - it was only Ariana's death that had convinced Albus to stop his quest with Grindelwald.

As an abused genius, she was aware of the appeal of the "dark side". In her opinion, Dumbledore was just as guilty as Riddle for some of the things that happened to Magical Britain ; and since the old git had a superiority complex, he never thought that the same thing could happen to Harry Potter. It was only the fact that his parents had been killed by the enemy that he hadn't joined them - or else, just the perspective of running away from the Dursleys would have been enough to convince him to become  a Death Eater. It certainly didn't expect her that by the end of the war, there were no more Pureblood houses. The Black Family, Diggory, Nott, Greengrass, Crabbe, Goyle, Prince... They had all disappeared, which for some reason, seemed on par with Dumbledore's plan.

His only problem is he didn't account for Morgana. She had met dictators in her previous life and she had crushed them - each and every one of her enemies remembered her name and her face and they were plagued with fear. It won't be that different in this world, she promised herself.

Sirius and Regulus might want to stay away from her - but it didn't mean she wouldn't protect them to the best of her ability. She still hadn't gotten used to the fact that she wouldn't see her daughter anymore nor that she didn't have the opportunity to tell Peter that he was her son. Not only because she loved him - but how can you tell a sixteen year old kid that he was taken from you because his grandfather was an asshole ? How could she tell him that Richard and May Parker were aware of the truth and had hidden it from him? Even worse, his Uncle Ben... He had mourned him, far longer than he had mourned anyone. He might not have told her, but she was aware that he was his inspiration behind his superhero gig. So, she had stayed silent after the Civil War issue and had kept her distance, only for Peter to follow her to space. Seeing him get dusted...would be her worst nightmare in each one of her lives. Just the reminder was enough to cut her breath and to stop for a minute to regain her footing.

Instead, she went inside a wand shop that catered to purebloods that didn't want their kids to be subjected to the Trace. Morgana was rightly spooked when she met the heated glare of a certain...Stephen Strange ; her kids' father. How ironic was it that she got pregnant twice after a one-night stand with him and never told him? From the facial expression he was giving her, he had been told. For the first time, she gulped and was ready to leave the shop.

"I am stopping you right there Stark," he gritted.

She tried to look appalled and shocked - but he knew her too well. "You're mistaken, sir. My name is Walburga Black, recently changed to Morgana Le Fay. I wanted to...," she started before he stopped her with his orange whips.

"You lied to me," he screamed. "I...I was going to let my own son die in space and you would never have told me !"

Morgana sighed and finally sat, looking defeated for the first time since Stephen had met her. "What else was I supposed to do, Mr. Big Shot Doctor ?," she asked. "You had a dream, alright ? My father would have crushed each and every one of your job opportunities for defiling his heiress and fathering a "bastard" with her." She looked at him, tears falling down her cheeks. "I looked for him for 14 years and...then, I died."

Stephen looked at her - angry but resigned. "I can't stay here for long, I just came to drop theses off." He took six boxes and opened each one of them - she distinctly noticed empty slots for jewels next to the handles and immediately understood. Taking out the "Infinity Stones" she had found at Gringotts and opening the box, she witnessed each one of them taking place with its righteous wand.

"For your "husband", your two sons and you," he explained.

She looked thoughtful. "The other two ?," she questioned.

He smiled lightly for the first time since she had made her entrance. "You might get a few surprises once you get home."

The brunette raised her head and panicked - she barely knew Orion aside from his hatred for the former Walburga and she didn't know he would react to people he didn't know. The only explanation for Strange's cryptic sentences was that some people she loved might be home - waiting for her, waiting, waiting...

"I'll take you there since Kreacher is busy," he started a bit sheepish. "You have to promise you won't kill me though."

Morgana glared at him, anger clear on her face. "Take me home now."

Orion had been used to a lot ever since he got married to his second cousin - but her recent changes had been so far out of the ordinary... He was aware that Walburga was not here anymore, but he couldn't tell his sons before they saw the truth with their own eyes. Divorce was not an option in their community - even less for members of their family. He wouldn't lie and say he was enchanted by the Antonia Stark he had seen : she had been a muggle but so ingenious, so...unique. She had created her strength and her powers with her own hands - never relying on others for help. She had given the world everything while seeing her life chipped away bits by bits.

"Come boys, we need to have a talk," he said.

They started walking towards the family tapestry where most of their important interactions took place. He took pride in his ancestors and everything he had accomplished, even though he wished they wouldn't have alienated the rest of the Wizarding World by showing their true colors. For people that prided themselves on being cunning and resourceful, it had been a complete oversight.

He was getting ready to speak and ask his heirs for a little bit before his youngest pointed out something to him. "Mother's name disappeared !," he screamed, shaken by the discovery. The two remaining Blacks in the room followed his sight and were surprised by the veracity of his words.

"How...,"

Sirius barely had the time to finish his sentence before a new picture reappeared with a distinct new name proudly displayed. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐋𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐈. What was even more surprising was the distinct heir line that went to Regulus' name, who was overjoyed. After spending his whole life in the shadows as the second son never set to inherit anything aside from his family's values, he was more than enchanted to learn he would also have a legacy to uphold. For the first time in so long, Orion saw happiness in his youngest's eyes and even a little bit of...love (?) towards his mother. If the idea wasn't preposterous, the patriarch would have believed it.

But it seemed like their surprises weren't over.

A new name appeared just under his wife's.

𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤.

For some reason, the tapestry had even considered him as Orion's son, even though he was 100% sure he had never heard that name before. Feeling curious (but also knowing how much his house was safe), the wizard touched the wall before they were being submerged by a white light, blinding them in the process.

It only took them a few minutes to regain their footing and their marks but they were met with chocolate brown eyes full of tears and a few shouts. "Where the hell am I ?," inquired the stranger. Orion scoffed and looked at him, feeling his anger rising in his chest. "You tell me !," he shouted. "You got inside the Ancestral and Noble Residence of the Black Family, now tell me how."

He got his wand out, ready to strike before the teenager sent a sort of...spider web towards him. Orion was stuck to the wall, unable to move while Sirius and Regulus were hidden in a corner, surprised that someone had been able to stop their father fast enough.

"I don't know," started panicking the teenager while tears were still falling down his cheeks. "Beck...He was trying to kill me to get revenge against Ms. Stark and...I couldn't let him use her technology and..."

He looked at them in horror.

"Did you just say Noble and House Black?," he said, a little bit amused. "Are you cosplaying for Harry Potter?"

Sirius, the quintessential Gryffindor, stood up as soon as he heard his best friend's name, afraid that someone would attack him. "There is no Harry Potter, only James. What do you want with him ?"

If they were expecting a villain monologue, they were sourly disappointed.

Instead, the teenager sat on the floor and started crying. Meanwhile, Orion was trying to free himself before being stopped in his actions when a golden portal somehow opened inside his house.

'Is it just that easy to breach the wards ?', he wondered before promising himself to check more thoroughly.

"Ms. Stark ?," asked the spider kid.

When Orion turned to look at his mother that finally came to pick up her wayward son, he was surprised to see his own wife, who seemed just as shaken as the uninvited guest.

"Peter...", whispered Wal...Morgana.

The three Blacks were surprised when they saw the usually cold and frigid matriarch fall to the floor while sobbing and holding her heart. "Peter, please tell me I am not dreaming, I just can't..."

Peter had not been expecting a lot of things during his life : losing his parents and his uncle, becoming half-spider, meeting his icon and finally becoming a super-hero. He had not expected to be dusted nor to come back to a world where he wouldn't see Ms. Stark anymore.

But he had coped.

Everyone had forgotten about him, but he had coped.

He mourned his mother figure while being told how ridiculous it was since he barely knew her, but he had coped.

But seeing her again was so far out of the realm of possibilities that he had forgotten it.

Everything about her was radiant - but seeing her wearing a tight dress, crying on the floor with her hair loose? No, that was not the Ms. Stark he knew and loved.

"Don't cry Ms. Stark," he tried to plead before seeing that his words kept shaking her to her core. "Please, stop."

Since his efforts were for naught, he started panicking, forgetting the people surrounding them, even though he was sure that half a minute earlier, they were on the top of his priorities.

"MOM !," he screamed to get her attention. For some reason, it worked and their gazes finally met.

The last time he had seen her, she had just snapped her fingers to save the entire Universe. He didn't know how long it had been for her - but for him, it was a long and grueling year filled with depression and despair.

"Oh Peter," she sighed. "I hoped, but...," she didn't have to say more. They were both aware of how impossible their reunion seemed after their last embrace.

Ms. Stark, can you hear me ? It's Peter. Hey. We won. Ms.  Stark. We won. You did it. Mom, you did it.
