from toni stark to walburga black

Toni Stark had known she would die : from the moment she had been told about the prospect of time travel, she knew she would have to leave Morgan behind. But if it was the price to get Peter back, she would have done it a thousand times. The only thing she hadn't been expecting was...to suddenly wake up as Walburga Black, next to two frightened children and a scared husband.

Black Family (III)

The main difference between Walburga and Toni, aside from their personality, was their ability to hide their feelings and their thoughts. When the Black family matriarch reigned order by threatening and scaring others, the inventor was almost saccharine in her hatred.

𝐀 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰-𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐢 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐫, 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫. Once again, where Walburga anger was cold, it was evident that Toni's was more focused on the more damage done. It had been certainly personal when the man she had trusted had attacked and and besmirched her legacy, thumping down on everything that her company and her father had wanted to create. Even though their relation was sour, they could see in the CEO's face that it had meant something to her to uphold some of his values, even though he had actively abused her most of her life. Once again, Sirius felt uncomfortable with the fact that the woman he had dearly hated and was now, different, had some sort of resemblance to him. Just the thought was unbearable for the third-year student ; holding on his younger brother while trying to being warm towards Peter. It was still eerie to see someone that looked so much like them, and yet, did not share their distinctive dark hair and grey eyes. And yet, no doubt over the fact that he was a Black from the cheekbones and the shape of his lips.

James and his father seemed a bit scandalised by the arson - but Dorea Potter, formerly Black, just acquiesced her head, showing her appreciation for the revenge. She might have married into a Light Family, but she was a Black daughter - and just like her ancestors, she was eager for vengeance and would have done worse. Erasing the man's legacy was the least she could do after he attempted to do the same to her. For once, she looked appreciatively at Walburga's face - someone she had always loathed for better or for worse.

They suddenly remembered how far back in the future those events were - especially since they were in 1973 - which meant that muggles had already started more projects of mass-destruction since the last War, even perfecting them. The Blacks and the Potters were always on different end of the spectrums in their ideology, but never had they imagined they would agree over the fact that Muggles were too dangerous. Purebloods looked down on them, thinking them nothing less than mindless apes while Light and inclusives wizards honestly thought they would never turn on them because they were all humans. From what they had grasped, humans were keen on fighting and battling against each other, taking innovations to another level of danger. Even James and Sirius gulped, never hearing about the dangerous contraptions they had seen on the memories.

The young boys are genuinely timid from the few things they had heard and seen - aside from Peter. He had always been an admirer and a fan of Ms. Stark, never knowing they were so closely related. Still, he had watched most videos on the web concerning her and had been around enough to being used to her crass behavior, even noticing that she kept on using it to throw people off their scents. Still, he had remembered that the Wizarding Society they were currently in was so narrow-minded and still in their ways that just the fact that Antonia Stark was a renowned genius and CEO of her own company must be a surprise. Sincerely, it had always been a surprise when he had learnt from the books that witches also believed into the patriarchy and conformed to it. They had the same amount of power and the same education as their male counterparts and they still let their family decide from them? It must be something about upholding legacy he wouldn't have understood - he was sure his mother nor his aunt would have wanted him to marry for the sake of his company or for anything less than pure bliss and unconditional love.

Peter took a deep breath and noticed that even Regulus had felt bad at the news - even though e barely knew the little kid, he couldn't help but feel his heart soar at his gentleness and the way he cared about others. It was difficult to imagine that the same kid would be pressured to follow in his family's footsteps and die a gruesome death for the sake of his honor and to help them win the war. Inwardly, he promised himself he wouldn't let the story come to pass - he was still Spiderman, and even though he didn't kill, he could seriously indispose. After loosing his mother and aunt in less than a year, he was not about to lose any more family now that he had literally travelled through worlds and dimensions to come across them. It seemed like his thoughts were not as privy as he thought since Orion lightly smiled, trying not to smile at the fact that his sons had finally found the glue that would stick them together, through hatred and adversities.

Peter almost wanted to throw up - he had known how dangerous a Starks life could be, he had even theorized about the fact that it would have been difficult for her to get saddled with her father's mistakes, but he had never imagined that people would have actively tried to kill her for something her own father had committed. It just seemed so...far-fetched to him. No wonder she had tried to hide every spec of her personal life, not trusting others not to harm her friends and family. Aside from Rhodes and Pepper, people didn't ask questions about much else and oh, Happy...Just thinking about the driver was enough to break the teenager's heart.
