Ethan returns with Antonio at night after getting Loretta to cover up for Alexandra at school, although she won't be able to escape the punishment of breaking the curfew.
The two of them entered the house and found a number of beer can on the floor
They hurried further into the house guessing what the two of them must have been up to; the both of them lie down on the floor of the room wasted.
"What the hell!" Antonio exclaimed seeing the sorry state they are in and quickly went to help Julie up
Ethan step into the room and rub his temples without words, he watch Antonio take Julie out of the room so he can send her home and bend over to Alexandra who is still on the floor. He knows he shouldn't have left her alone with Julie
"Ethan you are back, I miss you" Alexandra opened her eyes and cuddle up to him, he held her up to a seat and clean the dirt in her hair
"How much did you drink?" he queried
"Just a little" she replied drunkenly and suddenly stood up to her feet
"I promise I don't have any feelings like that for you, I don't know how else to convince him" Alexandra murmurs
Ethan is taken aback to hear that and sighs sad to hear such strong affirmation from her
"Is that why you got yourself drunk?" Ethan get hold of her before she falls down and carried her in his arms back to the room.
She must really care about Liam
He places her gently on the bed and went out to get some hangover drug for her so she doesn't get a terrible headache in the morning
He helped her up after returning with the drug to can use them and feed it to her calmly
"You are not going to stop being friends with me right? I don't want you to stop being my friend" Alexandra grumbled and opened her eyes to look at him, her delicate eyes stare into his and it seems like she will cry anytime soon
"I will always be by your side" he promised her and pat her hair lightly thinking about the words he just uttered.
No matter how much he thought of it, he doesn't want to let her go even after hearing her confirm she doesn't have such intimate feelings for him
Picturing her in the arms of another man aside from him sends a pain to his heart
"Alexandra, let's never break up our friendship" he said overwhelmed with his emotions
"Hmm" she agrees and the two sealed their promise together with their fingers
"What if you get married to another girl? Wouldn't you stop being friends with me then" Alexandra asked still holding his hands
"I won't" he assures her and she smiles then closes her eyes again to get some sleep
Ethan stare at her for so long that he doesn't even know how much time has passed and cupped her face to kiss her lips; Alexandra opened her eyes at that moment causing him to stop in his act
He looked at her clueless eyes nervously and tries to explain to her but she suddenly plant a kiss on his cheek and move her face closer to his ear then whispers
"You are so cute"…
His body went numb for a few minutes after her words and then his heart start to race speedily; he pulls away from her hastily while Alexandra continued to sleep and she cuddled up to the pillow turning her back to him
"Goodnight" he managed to say before leaving…

Ethan open his eyes and sees Alexandra sitting in his room in her nightgown with her legs crossed, her long brown hair is let down her tender neck and her pale face shows that she is just getting up from bed, he rub his eyes to be sure he is not dreaming then sits up from the bed
"Why are you here so early?" he questioned her but she smiles mischievously and walk towards him as she slowly loose her robe revealing her long beautiful legs, a short tiny gown that he could easily see through her underwear
"Alexandra, what are you doing?" Ethan asked again baffled by her attitude and quickly get close to her and cover her body with his duvet…
…"Ethan, are you awake? The party is starting in an hour" he had his mom called outside his room and opens his eyes lazily to discover that he is merely dreaming and feels somewhat disappointed
Maybe it's because Alex broke up with Liam or because it's their birthday, Ethan can't tell why he is so over the moon in the last few days
He decided to let his feelings for Alex grow and when she told him she had ended things with Liam two weeks ago, he thought it will be a good time to tell her about his feelings
'Nothing will go wrong'
Ethan sigh nervously thinking about it and smiles again imagining how she will give a positive answer to his confession
Mrs. Anderson entered his room along with Carolyn and a tray of birthday breakfast in their hand as they normally do; Ethan comes out of the bathroom with a robe on and smiles. They both wish him a happy birthday and gave him some of the drink first
Ethan took the first bite from the meal and quickly take it away from his mother or she would insist on feeding him the whole plate, he thanked them again before asking them to leave so he can dress up
"I will go feed my goddaughter then" Mrs. Anderson said and run off to go to Alexandra, Carolyn follows after her but Ethan pull her back confuse to learn that Alexandra is in the house
"Which goddaughter is she referring to?" he asked
"Alexandra. Who else? Sometimes I feel like am not her real daughter" Carolyn answered him and took a bite from his plate then sits on his bed
"When did she get here? I thought we agreed to meet by ten this morning" he asked surprised
"I thought you two are best friends, she has been in this house since last night" she replied and tries to take another bite but he takes the plate away and start to eat in an hurry
"Tell her I will be down in a minute" he said with food in his mouth and finished the whole plate in a second, Carolyn rolled her eyes pissed to be ignored by her own brother because of Alexandra and stood up to leave
"I will go chat with my boyfriend then" she said and leaves
Ethan quickly find a shirt and trouser to put on and dash out to Alexandra's room to wish her a happy birthday, he arrived at the room and met his mom checking out her dress with her and pause.
Alexandra saw him as she held the dress up and throws it to the bed then rush to his side and wish him a happy birthday excitedly; Ethan smiles and wishes her also thrilled to see her so early
"Why didn't you tell me you are here?" he asked trying not to let his excitement show too much
"Sorry, I wanted to be the first person you will see today but I chatted late into the night with Jane yesterday and woke up late" she explained and rub her hands together to ask for forgiveness
"I am happy to see you now also" he told her and pats her hair gently
"That is enough now, you need to get ready quickly leaving everyone arrives" Mrs. Anderson said standing in front of them and pull Alexandra back into the room
"Bye" she said to Ethan before shutting the door in his face
He return back to his room with his gift which he hides behind him and plans to give it to her when they are alone, Antonio suddenly appear behind him and hits him then pulls away to congratulate him
"Happy birthday old man, I can't believe you are turning eighteen so soon" he said jokingly
Antonio is nineteen, they all got in to college early and only the two of them just turned eighteen this year
"Why are you here so early?" he asked not really excited to see him and opens the door to his room to get ready…
