Ethan Sterling had spent the previous night tossing and turning in bed, the weight of his daughter's unhappiness heavy on his heart. Determined to make amends, he had a clear plan in mind. Today was the day he would reconnect with Mia.

Morning sunlight filtered through the curtains as Ethan rose from his bed. He moved silently through the house, careful not to wake Emily. His first order of business was to apologize to Mia. He found her in her room, a room that had become a sanctuary of her own lately.

Ethan smiled warmly, his eyes filled with sincerity. "Mia, I owe you an apology," he began. "I know I haven't been around much lately, and that's not fair to you. I promise to make it up to you, starting today."

Mia's expression softened as she listened to her father's words. She could see the genuine regret in his eyes. "Really, Daddy?" she asked, her voice hopeful.

Ethan nodded. "Yes, really. Today, we're going to have a special day, just you and me. We'll go to the amusement park, and I'll make it up to you for all the time I've missed."

A spark of excitement danced in Mia's eyes as she processed her father's words. She nodded eagerly, and a radiant smile broke across her face. "I'd love that, Daddy!"

Ethan's heart swelled with happiness as he hugged his daughter tightly. It was a relief to see her smile again. "Get ready, sweetheart. It's going to be a fantastic day."

Mia practically leaped out of her chair, eager to get dressed and start their adventure. While she busied herself getting ready, Ethan couldn't help but feel a sense of redemption.
