Forsaken By Heaven

(This has been dropped) Life on Earth hasn't been perfect, but it has been relatively peaceful thus far, however, one day, an angel from heaven descended from heaven announcing the wrath of God, who was dissatisfied with how humanity treated the planet. The angel then warned mankind that they will be attacked by the army of angels as punishment, though God granted mercy, God gave mankind a weapon to fight back in order to show God that humanity should be able to continue, and until God is satisfied, humanity will continue to suffer these attacks. Afterward, humanity discovered a way to wield elemental powers. There are 6 that exist to be exact; Fire, water, wind, earth, light, and dark elemental powers, those who were born with the ability to wield them are then given a choice, train to become wizards and witches to help humanity fight back against these angels or continue to lead normal lives as others fight for them. Perseus and Shawn chose the former and dove into the very same life that killed their brother. Will they survive and help save the world or will they crumble under the attacks of these celestial beings? **************************************************************** Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Back To The Mainland

Shawn POV

"...I'll visit here again to repay you guys for the help, it shouldn't be long till the reclamation project." Perseus said as we bid our farewells.

"Hmmm, if it weren't for your blood, I don't think I'll live that long, blessed one." Hisoka bowed.

"That's fine, y'all were willing to part ways with some of your precious items such as the broken armor pieces of the angels, with them, we'll be able to hide better on our way back. Me and Shawn will bring you back chocolates since you like them so much, and the ones we had weren't even that good."

"You really are a blessed one." he laughed, "Go, I'm sure that your brother is proud of you 2, and he is watching you on with pride in his heart."

"Bye Midori."

"Yes, farewell." she bowed to me, "I hope you don't take it too harshly on your fairy tribe, at least hear them out when you meet them, even more so with your 'parents', they only wanted their son back."

"Don't worry, I rather not know how my life would be if those 2 parents of mine of the fairies would raise me, I know in my heart that I got a new and better family who has shown me nothing but love."

The day of the escape arrived, our job is to go in first and make it as far as we can without being seen, and once we are, bait them away and waste their time. We attached only a couple of pieces of the angels' armor, the rest is for the other group, though I was given Professor Everett's 2 wands, so that means I can do much more.

One is a wand with spells of light affinity and the other is water, 2 of his affinities, he got 2 more wands for himself to defend the boat if he runs out of mana. We are to escape the port in the night as angels are just slightly weaker then.

We painted the armor shards with black dye we made using nearby berries with the help of the fairies, which should help us blend in a bit, we are to go to a boat on the other side, lure most of them there, and double back when the rest are ready.

For the past few weeks, we went out a lot and the navy officers finally got engine parts and other things to make sure to jump-start a boat in order to get back, even got some backup fuel. Let's hope it goes well.

Perseus POV

My heart pounded in my chest as we crouched in the dense underbrush, peering through the foliage at the bustling port ahead. The night sky was cloaked in darkness, providing us with the perfect cover for our mission.

The mission was simple, yet really dangerous, to sneak through the angel-infested port, reach the boat that we won't be using waiting on the other side and lure the angels there. It was our only chance to escape this wretched place and find safety.

Beside me, Shawn and Minerva exchanged nervous glances, their eyes reflecting the same mix of determination and fear, I get it, after all, failure will result in our deaths.

We had been through countless adventures together, but this one, by far, was the most dangerous. The angels patrolling the area were formidable foes, possessing otherworldly strength and supernatural senses. We couldn't afford to be seen or heard since the angel armor shards will help fool their other senses just a bit.

With a silent nod, we started inching forward, moving like shadows in the night. Each step was calculated, our breaths shallow as we wove our way through the forest. The moonlight peeked through the treetops, casting eerie shadows that threatened to betray our presence.

As we approached the edge of the forest, we could see the port stretching out before us, its lights illuminating the night sky. Angels moved about, their radiant wings shimmering in the faint glow. The adrenaline coursed through my veins as we carefully surveyed our surroundings, searching for a path that would lead us undetected.

"Stay low, stay quiet," I whispered, my voice barely audible. "As planned, we'll have to move through the shadows and avoid their line of sight."

Shawn and Minerva nodded in silent agreement, their eyes glinting with determination. We began our stealth mission, slinking from one hiding spot to another, using crates, barrels, and any available cover to shield ourselves from the angels' watchful gazes. Every step felt like a dice roll, each moment with the possibility of discovery.

Time seemed to stretch as we neared the boat. We had managed to evade the angels' attention thus far, but the tension in the air was palpable. One misstep, one sound out of place, and our hopes of escape would be shattered.

With bated breath, we finally reached the boat, its silhouette a beacon of hope amidst the chaos. We dared to let our guard down for just a moment, a glimmer of relief washing over us. But as I turned to confirm our success, my heart sank.

A group of angels, their eyes blazing with an otherworldly light, had spotted us. Their gaze locked onto us like laser beams, and in that instant, the air crackled with malevolence. Without warning, they launched themselves toward us, their wings shining brightly with a terrifying grace.

"You 2 stay behind me, if I fail, I'll use all my mana to make sure you get to the other side of the port, again, Shawn, use the wand to shoot angels that get close to you 2, and Minerva provides long-range attacks to slow down and damaged the angels."

Shawn then throws down a smoke grenade to hide the 2 as they then put on thermal goggles given to them by the naval officers as I cast the same spells as before.

"Alright, close your eyes for a moment guys." I then overloaded my talismans with my mana and cast a superbright flashbang to blind some of the angels as I charge forward with the aim to kill as many as I can.
