I have been inspired to write after seeing a bunch of novels and fan fics on here. English is my first and only language but I will probably make some spelling mistakes and the story might not flow as well as most other stories. I will not drop this but I do have a busy life so my updates might not be crazy consistent but I will try to upload at least 1 chapter a week. I do not own the cover picture, if the original creator wants me to take it down just message me and I will. I will also make some references in this novel to help have a better under standing of what I am to visualize. Wish me the best of luck, BBQ_Sauce.

The Meeting (Part 2)

"Ah, it's good to see you again, Grey." Gram replied.

I then grabbed and pulled Gram into a bro hug, hugging me back. The adventurer's kids around us just looked at us shocked to see how close we were and me not trying to pick a fight with them. They weren't the only ones shocked either, the parent's of those kids also couldn't believe what they were seeing, especially Gram's father.

Gram's father, Henry, knew exactly who I was. Since he found out that his father was going to teach someone who was outside of the family of course he wanted to find out who it is. Especially knowing how his father was he knew not just anyone could just get his father as his teacher.

After doing his research he found out that he was forced to teach a kid who belonged to the Wright family due to an old deal. What really threw him off was that his father seemed angry when he had to teach the kid but when he came home he was all smiles and couldn't stop bragging about his student.

His father never told him how old the kid was or what he looked like. But after seeing this kid walk through the door, with Hayden Wright and go straight to his son. Thinking that this must be the kid who somehow got his fathers attention, he couldn't believe he was only 5 years old.

Looking towards his father who happens to also attend the event to see if what he is thinking is true. Getting a nod in response, he couldn't help but be glad that his son and this kid had a good relationship.

Finishing our hug , we turn to the rest of the group. Seeing their reactions we couldn't help but start laughing because we knew what they were thinking. Eventually our whole group started laughing, realizing all the things their parents told them were just blown out of proportions.

Hearing our laughter and having a good time the other kids were starting to get annoyed. Most just kept to themselves but a few decided that they needed to tell the kids who were causing some 'trouble' a 'lesson' on how to behave properly.

Approaching the rowdy bunch, a kid seemingly being the leader of the group decided to take the initiative of 'teaching' the group in front of them how to 'properly' act.

"Hey, who do you think you are to be so rowdy, you may be a noble in name but you will never be like us. You are just merely a peasant with a few extra perks." The noble kid said.

Looking at him closely I saw that he had a sword at his hip, this brought an idea to my mind. Since this kid is acting all arrogant since might be from one of the nobles that raise aspiring knights, he is probably thinking that he could stand a chance in fighting the other kids here. Smiling widely I said.

"Oh, you think you are better than us just because your parents are some big shots or can actually put your money where your mouth is. Also this is an event to get to know one another so why can't we have fun, is it against the rules or something?" I said taking jabs at the noble's pride.

"Ha, you think a lowly peasant like you can take me on. Fine after the banquet truly starts we can have a fight for the king's entertainment. Let's see if you are still game after that." The kid said thinking that I would be scared to fight in front of the king where I could 'dishonor' my family.

"You got yourself a deal brat." I said with a smile of my own. The parents who were watching this whole thing couldn't help but shake their heads at the stupidity of the two. On the one hand a noble kid whose family isn't that high of a ranking challenged another noble thinking he was a higher rank when in actuality his family is one of the most influential in the country.

On the other hand the kid from the Wright family who is known for their money making skills and not combat can easily see that the kid will lose and then complain to his father. This is a lose lose scenario where both families will lose some type of face. Little do they know that the kid who they thought would lose is actually quite proficient in the sword and is getting trained by the best swordsman alive.

The banquet went on for a couple more hours where I would talk to the other adventurer kids, gaining some connections that I could use in the future. I was also checking to see what the other noble kids' reactions to my appearance to this banquet.

From what I can tell most nobles look at me with disgust, or disinterest. While some female's who must be born later look at me with greed in their eyes. There was only one noble that had no ill will in her eyes, instead it was interest. From what I could tell she was the same age as me and it seems she knows my true background.

Her family must have taught her all the most important and influential families are and she must have seen me walk in with my family connecting me to that family of nobles.

Some time later the king and queen came walking down stairs with 2 children besides them. When they made their appearance everybody bowed down to show their respect for their country's leader.

Seeing the king, the kid started getting antsy so when he was allowed to stand back up he was planning to go to his father to ask for a request to see him and this foolish peasant fight. Showing how he can be trusted in the future putting the citizens where they belong.
