SECOND WIFE

Sabrina could feel her breathing seize, she couldn't believe what she was hearing while Elena smiled,

"Really! Your highness, are you saying you choose to marry Sabrina?" Elena asked excited,

"I said so and I meant it, Dear Elena," Lucian said smirking as he saw the disbelief in Sabrina's face, how did things turn this way, she never wished to get married, especially not to this pervert vampire,

"So it has been said," Even before Sabrina could refuse, the King said standing up, everyone stood and watched "Lucian, lead the woman you want to get married to over here for everyone to see her clearly," Lucian nodded and went to grab Sabrina's wrist who slowly shook her head,

"No..." She said silently while Lucian grinned down at her, Elena kept smiling from ear to ear, while Beth and the rest glared in anger,

"Yes my beloved queen," Lucian bent and whispered in her ear before gently pulling her over to where his family were, Sabrina couldn't refuse the King and his entire family, she is trapped with no escape, she stood before everyone's eyes, as she felt the cold chill of Lucian's hand on her wrist, she quivered internally,

"Listen everyone present!" The king spoke loud and clear "My son has chosen his bride, your future queen, who would bare him children," Sabrina only shivered in dismay "In five days time from now, they shall wed, you all should enjoy the rest of your evening," He said before settling back into his throne as Sabrina just stood their bowing her head,

"Couldn't you have picked someone of the same nature as ours," Selene said to Lucian who was beside her with his new bride to be, Selene seemed to not care that Sabrina heard her, making her feel embarrassed. She never wished for this, she thought, as she slowly raised her head, she saw Elena waving and smiling at her with tears in her eyes, she moved her gaze to see Beth, Penny and Vivian glaring at her in anger.

"Who I choose to marry is none of your business, Dear sister," She heard Lucian said to the beautiful woman beside her, Selene felt embarrassed and kept quiet, glaring at Sabrina, Soon it was time for all to dine, they all moved to the dinning hall along with the Royal family, Sabrina tried to get away from Lucian,

"Where are you going to?" Lucian asked out loud mischievously making everyone turn to look at them, Sabrina felt embarrassed,

"I would like to sit with my friend, Elena," Sabrina said nervously,

"You can do that some other time, but for now you have to sit beside your future husband," Lucian spoke making Sabrina nod and not dare oppose his word, she proceeded as they all sat, the King first sitting on the head of the table, his wife sitting beside his, next to his wife sat Vincent, on the other side of the King, Lucian sat and Sabrina sat beside him, then Selene sat besides Vincent before the guest sat respecting the King and his family and newly bride, the maid began serving and soon everyone started eating, Sabrina unable to eat, only playing with the fork in her hand and glaring at the beef on her plate,

"What's wrong, sprout?" Sabrina was shocked at the nickname, she turned to stare at Lucian "Don't like the food?" He asked again,

"No it's fine," Sabrina replied gently not wanting to sound rude in front of the Royal family,

"What's your name?" Selene asked in a hard tone making Sabrina beware of the vampires,

"Sabrina," She replied simply as other people in the hall took note of the lowly human who is to be Prince Lucian's bride, Selene just hummed and went back to the hall, danced and soon people were leaving, Sabrina who stood beside Lucian who was talking to a brown haired man about something, she caught sight of Elena waving at her, she was about to move when suddenly she felt Lucian's hand on hers, she turned frowning,

"Your highness! I need to visit the powder room real quick," Sabrina smiled,

"You sure, princess?"

Princess! She was no princess, she thought.

"Yes milord," she replied and he just let her go, she quickly made her way to were Elena was, who just embraced her in a tight hug, sobbing.

"Elena?" Sabrina called "What is it?" She questioned and Elena lifted her head and stepped back with her red nose.

"You would be getting married soon, I will miss my best friend alot," Elena said as she burst into sudden tears,

"Come on, don't be like that!" Sabrina snapped glaring at her "I don't wish to marry that crazy vampire-"

"Sabrina!" Elena said in dismay "How could you say that about the prince! Do you want to get yourself killed? Is that it?"

"Of course not but-"

"You are still refusing even tho you've been chosen by the prince,"

"I never wanted this, Elena and you know that!" Sabrina sighed,

"You were destined to be in an elite family, Sabrina, why fight it?" Elena tried to convince her "I can't wait to get home and tell both our mothers about the good news! They would be shocked!" Elena chartered excitedly

"Am sure they would be," Sabrina sighed as a maid approached them bowing her head

"Your highness, the prince requests you," she said and Sabrina frowned,

"Now you have to go, Sabrina, I would inform your mother about it all, alright?" Elena smiled "Now go! I would be heading home now too and would be seeing you soon, I hope?"

"Of course you would!" Sabrina glared at her "You be careful okay?"

Elena nodded and turned to leave, Sabrina followed the maid, while she walked she noticed lesser people in the room, they were all leaving and she wanted to leave too, she didn't want to stay here.

On arriving, she saw Lucian patiently waiting for her, smiling while she got closer, not seeing the rest of the royal family, they must have gone to their rooms,

"Sprout," Lucian grinned and Sabrina frowned, she could say whatever she wanted now that they were away from his family and alone.

"That's not my name!" She glared at him,

"Then what is your name?" He teased even tho he knew,

"I don't want to get married to you, so let me go!" Sabrina said almost yelling and suddenly the playful mood of Lucian disappeared and he sent a cold glare at her making her shiver in fright,

"I never asked for your opinion now did I?" He spoke coldly "You would marry me and there is no way out of it! Now come!" He said before roughly pulling her wrist making her wince in pain as he continued walking from corridor to corridor before arriving in front of the private parlor of the royal family, the guard pulled open the double door, Lucian pulled her in, she winced in pain and looked up to see the King and Queen seated on a huge sofa, Lucian walked up to them and sat on the sofa opposite them,

"Come sit, dear," Lucia said softly and Sabrina had no choice but to move slowly and sit a few distance away from Lucian who pretended a smile at her, she bowed her head.

"Sabrina, is it?" Delcrov asked and Sabrina nodded still bowing,

"You don't have to bow your head to us, Sabrina. We are your family now," Lucia said again,

"Where do you live, Sabrina?" The King questioned in a commanding tone as Sabrina raised her head to look up "As you know, you have been chosen by my son to be his second wife," he let it sink in as Sabrina turned supprised. Did she hear well? Second wife? She thought.

"Se... Second wife?" She asked slowly "Am sorry for being rude,"

"You don't have to be," Delcrov said "Lucian has been married and still is but she is unable to bare him a child which is why you are here, to produce an heir," Sabrina turned shocked as she turned to look at Lucian who grinned at her, she never wanted this life and now they are saying she was going to be a second! Unbelievable! She thought

"Like I asked before, where do you live?" Delcrov asked again,

"Hallow village," she replied simply

"Hmm.... Don't worry a message would be sent to your parent and soon they would join you here in the castle till after the wedding," Lucia said smiling kindly at her.

"Ac.... Actually I only live with my mother," Sabrina spoke,

"Okay," The King said "You would be staying in the castle from now on, Lucian will help you to your room, that is all for today," he concluded,

"Go get some rest, dear, you must be tired after todays event," Lucia said "If you ever need something, you can ask the maid and they would provide you with it,"

"Thank you, my queen-"

"Lucia.... Aunty Lucia," Lucia corrected. Sabrina saw Lucian get up and she hurriedly did too, as they bowed and she followed him out, they walked from corridor to corridor before coming to stand in front of a particular door, not even bothering to turn and look at her,

"This would be your room-"

"Why did you choose me? Why did you bring me into this shit!-"

Sabrina suddenly felt herself being crushed to the nearest wall, Lucian deep red eyes glaring coldly at her as she winced in pain, her back was hurting so badly that she wanted to yelp out in pain, her eyes sting of tears,

"Let me go!" She pleaded seeing him turn so spiteful towards her scared her but she wasn't the kind to give up easily "You take your dirty hands off me this instant!"

"One more word from you and you would wish you never said a word and I would make sure of it," Lucian spoke coldly as he glared at her,

"Leave me please," Sabrina pleaded with tears in her green eyes "You are hurting me," she said again softly, and as if being hypnotized, Lucian stepped away from her while still glaring as he turned his back to her and walked away. Sabrina just couldn't take this, she ran into her new room, locked the door and went straight to bed and began sobbing, what sort of a husband was he going to be to her, he was rude, evil and hated her, he hurts her, she didn't want this, never did, she sobbed as she thought and cried harder and soon she fell asleep.

"Really!" Sarphina shouted shocked and thrilled "He chose her!"

"He did, Mrs Farrell," Elena said smiling from ear to ear "By tomorrow they should send you an invitation to the castle ma,"

"Thank you very much, Elena, I hope you had fun too?"

"I did, Mrs Farrell,"

Sabrina woke up because of the constant knocking of her door, she slowly opened her eyes, wondering where she was as she stood up and it all came to her and she sighed, she had cried enough last night, now she just needed a way out of this. Still hearing the banging on her door, she managed to get up and walked to the door, unlocking it she saw a maid who bowed,

"Your highness, you have been asked to join the royal family at the dinning hall," she spoked,

"Okay," Sabrina replied and saw the maid still standing "Anything else?"

"Can I help you with bathing and dressing, Miss?" The maid spoke again,

"Raise your head," Sabrina said and the maid did just that, she had brown hair and eyes, she looked young too and was startled about how beautiful the new princess was,

"What is your name?" Sabrina asked softly "And no I don't need any help,"

"I am Aurora, Miss," The maid said.

"You have a pretty name and please do not bow to me, you look a year or two older than I am," Sabrina spoke smiling,

"You are nice, miss, I must say" Aurora raised her head and smiled.

"I am, how long have you been working here, Aurora?"

"It's been ever since I was fifteen and now am twenty two, so have been working here for a period of seven years now..... Oh no!" She suddenly started panicking,

"What?"

"You were told to join the family in the hall and it's getting late, I delayed you-" Aurora said panicking,

"No you didn't,"

"Please go and change, Milady. They are all waiting," Aurora said before dashing away in hurry. Sabrina wanted to call out to her but she stopped herself and turned to go back inside her room. She didn't want to have breakfast with them, not especially that vampire, Sabrina thought but had to join them so she got up and went into the bathroom, after taking her bath with scented soap inside, she opened the closet and saw lots of expensive gowns, she picked the less attractive emerald green gown, that had long sleeves and put it on before stepping out of her room, she remembered that she didn't exactly know her way well enough in this mansion, and there were no maid around, so she continued walking, going through corridor by corridor, she was beginning to loose hope, saying she had lost her way, when she saw a tall figure approaching her, she saw it was Lucian, approaching from the opposite direction, he was dressed in all black, his silver hair falling on his forehead, his deep red eyes looked darker, he was truly handsome, Sabrina noticed for the second time, he paused In front of her and smiled, Sabrina bowed in greeting.

"Good morning, my prince," she said still bowing, suddenly remembering what happened between them last night.

"Morning sprout," he replied "Where are you off to this early in the morning?" He asked as he watched her raise up her head, she looked alluring with the matching outfit with the color of her eyes and her black raven hair let loose,

"I was making my way to the dinning hall when I got lost," Sabrina said not bothering to smile back.

"Well am heading there now myself, would you like to walk with me?" He questioned grinning, would she? She thought, would she want to be alone with this devil? What could happen if they were alone together.
