Eva had been cautious around Fiona all day, avoiding her glares and rude remarks whenever she passed but she would smile smugly at her knowing that Fiona couldn't touch her because of Jared.
When the bell rang for the last time that day, Eva made her way through the school doors with Alen who was accompanying her out.
The school was a boarding school so since it was her first day here, she had a permission slip to leave the school and get her things before tomorrow.
Emily had bade her goodbye but she had other things to tend to seeing as she was the president of the class.
The hallway was quiet because everyone was in their respective dorms.
"What else happened. What did he say to you" Alen asked
Eva just rolled her eyes a bit.
"The usual..he threatened me.. said he's going to keep an eye on me.. blah bleh blah....I can't wait to go home and have a 'talk' with my mum"
"But you should take his threats seriously. His and Davis's. These two ...shouldn't be messed with in this school..."
"Why? Because their beauty is beyond words to describe or because their eyes are so dreamy you could get lost in them?" She said sarcastically.
Alen giggled but she became serious.
"I'm really serious..."
"Well there's nothing to fret about..it's not like I'm harboring any bad intentions here"
Then she paused as if she remembered something.
"Hey Alen"
"Yeah...?"
"Is Jared just a Vampire..."
"Oh..Jared...Why would you ask"
A black limousine pulled up Infront of the school and Eva knew it was her ride.
" We'll talk about that next time . I'll see you tomorrow Alen.....goodbye" She said quickly knowing that if her mother was in the car she would be eavesdropping on them right now to know what they were talking about.
Alen surprised her and suddenly hugged her.
She was so shocked that her hand were left hanging by her sides.
Alen pulled away smiling.
"Goodbye" Then she dashed off.
Eva had a warm feeling in her heart as she smiled.
Her smile died down when she saw her driver step out and open the door for her.
Without a word, she climbs into the car.
Her mother was there waiting for her.
Her skin was pale green and her hair was a dirty brown color. Her eyes were green just like her daughter's. She looked pretty frail and old looking.
Eva's eyes turned from boredom to worry and anger when she saw her mother.
"Mother" She yelled in fright as she held the limp body of her mother.
Her eyes were weak and half closed and her skin was too pale. Her lips trembles as she tried to say something but nothing less than shiver sounds left her mouth.
Her maid was there shivering as Eva glared at her.
"Mona....what happened to her"
Mona looked down.
"Her Majesty.....she...she..." Mona didn't complete her sentence due to fear.
Eva's brows raise as she didn't even need Mona to finish her sentence before she knew what had happened to her mother.
"Take me to to Shirmona at once" Eva snapped at her driver who started the car.
Eva held her mother in her arms ...occasionally looking down at her face with worry, anger and anxiety.
When the limousine pulled up Infront of the mighty castle, Eva didn't hesitate to hop out of the car.
"Mona take my mother back to her room and send for the doctor" Her voice was authoritative and fierce.
Mona bowed solemnly
As Eva took one step towards the building she heard the weak voice of her mother calling out to her
"E..vy"
Eva turned and her expression softened.
"Mother... nothing's going to happen to you okay? I promise. Just let me..."
Her mother shook her head
"Don't....fight ...her again" She rasped out breathlessly.
Eva squeezed her face
"Mother..you're in this condition because of her. If I don't confront her, she'll come after your blood again. Look at you mother" She couldn't stop the tears that fell down her cheeks this time. "You're so pale and weak"
She looks at Mona.
As if a silent communication just took place, Mona called the attention of two maids passing by and the trio helped, Joann, Eva's mum out of the courtyard to her room.
Eva stands up. The worry had left her eyes and now as she cleaned her tears, all that was held in those chocolate brown orbs of hers were anger and blood lust.
She lunged forward into the building. There were two twin statues standing at each side of of the entrance of the throne room Each Statue held a sword in its hands...she pulls out one and swings it majestically in her hands.
She runs faster but was stopped at the main entrance of the throne room by two fierce looking guards.
"Move" She growled
But they didn't budge.
"Your highness we've been given orders not to let you into the throne room. Her Majesty is busy right now"
"What?!" Her voice made the men tremble in fear. "I'm the princess of this castle. I have every rights to go wherever I please. Now move or I'll make you move"
When the men didn't budge, she chanted a spell which made her sword glow like fire.
Her eyes glowed a radiant bright white color with no trace of color in them.
Before the guards could realize what was happening, she slammed the blade of her sword to the ground which generated a strong force that pushed the guards backwards.
The two men flew like breeze into the throne room and fell before the queen.
They groaned In pain as Eva walked in majestically swinging and swishing her swords with one hand, her eyes had gone back to normal.
Eva sneered as she stood before the wounded men.
The queen, Shirmona was curled up lazily on her throne. Her gold brown hair was so long that it caressed the surface of the floor. Her eyes were evil and green like Emeralds. She was very beautiful with high cheek bones and heart shaped lips.
On her head was a crown with several priceless stones around it. She wore a beautiful garment that accentuated her curvaceous body and exposed her beautiful green skin that was green like fresh grass.
She was sitting elegantly on her throne with two maids standing at either sides of her throne.
One was feeding her juicy looking grapes while the other was blowing some air on her with a green plant that had a long branch and a very big leaf, wide enough to use as a fan.
Disgust was written on her face as she looked at Shirmona who wasn't even bothered that two guards were on the floor groaning in pain before her.
...."Dearest granddaughter..." She drawled in her taunting voice which made Eva grit her teeth. "What have made you so angry that you come at me with a sword again" She smiled but then the smile was replaced by an evil smirk.
"Didn't you learn your lesson the last time"
