Lion's den

Miss Terra held Eva's shoulders from behind and smiled at the class.

"Like I said. Her mother being an exception, No one knows she's schooling here..."

"But why is she here" The boy with grass colored hair said, interrupting the teacher.

"Davis I'm sure she'll be more than happy to answer your prying questions after class. Now if you don't mind, I'll like to begin lessons now" She lets go of Eva. "Angel please show her to her seat"

Eva looked up to see who this Angel was. It happened to be the fairy girl with blue eyes and waist length blonde hair.

Though she had been quite persistent and curious about her, she had a nice smile and calm expression.

Eva was more than happy when she had to sit next to her.

But Angel said nothing to her afterwards.

Miss Terra began teaching but Eva couldn't focus.

If gazes could kill, she'll probably be rushed off to the morgue by now.

She felt like she was a new, rare specie being studied and scrutinized by everyone in the class.

She became so uncomfortable with how people were staring at her.

It wasn't like she had any books to bury her head in.

It was her first day so she was yet to go to the stationery department to collect her note books and textbooks. So she just held her backpack on her knees and tried as much as possible to focus on Miss Terra's moving lips.

She couldn't understand a word that she was saying but she kept looking at her like she was the most interesting thing ever.

.. Though her gaze would fall on her fangs once in a while. ...

Miss Terra turned to write something and she looked around, feeling weird as people had begun to write and she had nothing to do.

"Um...here you go. I noticed you had nothing to write with"

Eva turned to her right to see a female Elve.

She stretched out a notebook towards her with a pen.

Her hair was a firy red color which suited her light blue skin perfectly. Her eyes were very huge and yellow with a red slit in the middle.

The tip of her ears were so long it was stretching off the sides of her forehead.

Eva takes them with a small smile.

"Thank you"bb

It looked like the Elve didn't expect her to be this nice. She finally found her tongue after staring at Eva for some time.

"It's okay. I'm Alen..."

Eva just smiles again at her about to say something but the smile wipes off her face when she noticed another female Elve sitting beside Alen hit her slightly from behind and whispered something to her.

Alen frowned sadly but she looked down saying nothing again.

Eva glanced at the other girl.

She had black hair and the same yellow eyes with red split.

She was beautiful too.

But her face was squeezed in spite as she looked at her. Eva had to look away.

This time, she didn't look up again.

She just kept writing pointless things In the book.

Finally, the bell rings and Miss Terra, after giving some assignments, flashed her an encouraging smile before leaving.

...Before leaving her alone in a Lion's den....

Miss Terra...nooooooooooooo. She wailed in her mind wishing she could disappear from where she sat.

But she had promised her mum she wouldn't use her powers unnecessarily.

It was bad enough her mother had seized her spell book and broom for throwing tantrums in her last schools, her mother could also seize her powers...

Yeah it was possible.

And she didn't want that.....

Someone pulled her chocolate brown hair up and down a bit which got her to look back.

Her emerald green eyes met with pink ones which glared at her with a fierce intensity that made her heart drop to her stomach.

It was Davis

She looked at him and all she could feel was envy.

How could a boy have such long lashes and high cheek bones.

She had already noticed he was the most handsome male in the class. He'd be popular.

"Hey so ...when you asked 'If you were the only witch here' , did you not know that this was a no witch territory" He sneered at her and the other students jeered.

Everyone was watching them now like they were a movie and it was movie night.

Eva shook her head slightly.

"I didn't know... believe me..I wouldn't have let my mum enrol me here...I'm sure there's a mix up somewhere"

He looked at her with narrowed eyes but he said nothing.

"And Shirmona....."

"She doesn't know I'm here. She thinks I'm still at Witch Prime academy"

Witch Prime academy was the last school she was expelled from. Exclusively for witches.

"So how did you end up here" Fiona, the dark haired Vampire asked with a curious but bored look. She was sitting down with her hand outstretched which was been massaged by another female vampire with a black bob and dark red eyes

Eva felt the heat rush up to her face.

"I...I was..... expelled"

A brow raise on Davis handsome face but he said nothing. He looked somewhat amused.

"While you're here, just make sure we don't cross paths. Believe me. I don't like it when impostors step on my toes" Fiona said evilly, smiling cruelly at Eva such that her tongue ran over the rims of her fangs.

She leaves the class with two female vampires behind her. One with the Bob and the other with wavy black hair and soft crimson red eyes.

Eva shuddered. It wasn't her first time seeing a fang and she knew it won't be her last but she couldn't help it but feel cautious around vampires.

Davis stood up, his chair screeching backwards as he did.

"I'll be keeping my eyes on you. Any stupid move and I won't hesitate to guage out those beautiful eyes of yours".

Then he smiled. The smirk was mischievous but Eva thought he looked really handsome.

He leaves the class as well and this time several girls rush out giggling like little kids as they trailed behind him seeking for attention.

Eva guessed he was probably popular around here and she was right.

"That's Davis Kayak. He's the crown prince of the Fairy Kingdom"

Eva turned to see Angel putting her books away.

"Oh?"

She said, very much surprised.

She knew now she had to be careful around him.

Angel stands up and Eva looks around, finally noticing that the class was almost empty.

"Where are you going" She asked, standing up as well

"It's lunch time" Angel said about to go but she paused as if she remembered something. "Come on. I'll show you the cafeteria"

"I'm coming too" Said Alen with a friendly smile.

Eva smiled at her but looked over her shoulders and breathed in relief when she didn't see the other vicious looking Elve beside her.

Alen stands up and the trio leave the class with Eva in between the two.

"So Eva...why were you expelled from your last school and why did your mum pick this school of all schools in the Latium world" Alen asked after talking with Angel for a while.
