Chaos before the invasion.

6 am in the morning of the fourth day, near the pond in the core region of the island. Two people were having showdown of their own.

Emily was controlling four D-Rank monsters all together and going up toe to toe against a certain someone with two horns on his head and his face was scarred beyond recognition. The man in front of her was like an abomination of a human and a demon.

The demon had a devastating strength, his speed, his stamina and his toughness of the body was all comparable to a C-Rank mage.

Emily was with her party until the middle of the night, when she suddenly felt the presence of a devil. The devil was coming straight to where the camp was situated.

Emily panicked, she didn't wanted to give away such a precious things to the academy or the association or let it die. Emily knew the locations of the extra devices planted by Elliott, when he was all alone. And the demon was quickly approaching one of those location.

She went out of the tent where the other three girls were sleeping with her and intercepted the demon before he reached the device's location. She used all the E-Rank and D-Rank monsters in the vicinity to attack the demon and change his direction. After luring the demon in the core region, Emily sent away all the E-Rank monsters and fought with the D-Rank ones.

It's been three hours since the fight began between the two. At first, Emily overpowered the demon with 15 low tier and seven high tier D-Rank monsters. But as the time passed, Emily was only left with four wounded high tier D-Rank monsters. The demon was pushed back in the first ten minutes or so, until he started using his elemental essence, 'acid'.

The moment when the demon used his acid attacks, Emily's monsters started to struggle greatly and the tide of the battle turned slowly against Emily.

The skill { Acid Corrosion } was a bane to every defense of the monsters. And their attacks were not powerful enough to injure a body similar to that of C-Rank critically. As the time went on, the monsters became tired and were killed, the moment they committed any slight mistakes. But the wounds on the body of the demon also kept on piling up. Even though the attacks of the monsters did not critically injure the demon, but as the wounds kept on piling one on the other, the effect was seen.

The demon became less aggressive, his speed and strength dropped off significantly, and he was now tired as his stamina had finally reached the bottom. Though it did not affected his essence store at all. The demon still kept on firing acids on his foes.

This brings us to the point of the present.

The demon has already depleted his full stamina and he realized that he cannot go further than this. So, he gathered a huge amount of essence and poured it all in his second elemental skill.

"{Acid Eruption}"

Emily did not cared for the threat of this new skill and went on with the usual attack.

"Go!" She pointed towards the demon and sent all the remaining monsters all together.

The four last standing monsters were - two hobgoblins, one black beast ( the same one that led the blood hounds to attack Rey's party ) and the last one was Shelled Earth tortoise, also known as the king of Ashell.

That was the strongest line-up of the monster island Ashell. They all went towards the demon at the same time and pounced on him together.

But as soon as they reached the demon, an explosion occurred.

Taking the demon as the center of the explosion, the radius of the reach of the explosion went up to 100 meters. everything that came within the area of explosion was directly melted by the acid within milli-seconds.

All for except two things.

The demon, who was unconscious in the middle of the explosion and Emily, who stood on her place as it is. Her hair, her skin, her clothes, her shoes, everything was as it was before the explosion. She slowly started walking towards the center of the explosion.

She saw that the one lying on the ground was not a demon anymore, he has returned to his human form. And Emily knew exactly who he was.

"The Blade family will be delighted to see you! Phew. . . hahahahahaha...hahah...haaaah!!!" When Emily saw that face, she couldn't help but laugh out loudly.

Time passed and the people from the organization came to retrieve her. There were five of them. Three C-Ranks and Two B-Rank.

Samuel Lookers was a B-Rank warlock and was a trusted servant of her father. He was the leader of the five that came to Ashell to take her out. When he got the signal and the location of Emily, he waited for brock to make the move. Finally when Brock sent his force to the island, all five of them took different routes and then arrived at the location of Emily.

Initially, Emily wanted to capture Elliott with her own hands and give him to the organization. But her mind changed when she saw Garrett today. His power was very above and beyond someone like Elliott.

From a single glance, Emily knew that Garrett has somehow managed to eat a demon's heart. She had read something similar to this situation in her father's personal library.

When a human eats a demon's heart, there are only two cases. One, he dies immediately and his corpse will turn into some another demon's vessel. And the second case is, nothing happens and an elemental skill is added later on. Being the daughter of the leader of Organization, she had plenty of information about the new generation talents of renowned family by heart. And there was no information about Garrett having the 'Acid' element.

So, it was clear which case Garrett belongs to.

The only problem of this case was, the more time passes, the more Garrett will lose his mind like today. The reason this happens is because of the demon's heart trying to gain control of the human brain. If that happens, then the demon will be revived in the human's body. But that usually takes more than a decade to happen.

Considering all the pros and cons, Emily finally decided to take the gamble on Garrett.

Inside the small ships cabinet, Simon, Emily and the unconscious Garrett were going out of the radar of the academy.

She looked at Simons and asked,

"So they decided to throw him in his first mission?? Ridiculous!! Are they that desperate to even sacrifice an original Magekiller?" Emily was really stunned at the decision of the higher ups to sacrifice a S-Rank asset and an original series user for their own greed.

"....Yes, this is exactly what is decided. Miss, you should hurry up! Now Drake has the majority of the originals." Simon replied with a worried expression.

For years, it was known that Salar is the undisputed leader of the organization. But that was only true until 18 years ago. Zade was Salar's elder brother and he was also a part of the success of the organization. But Salar was so exceptional, that everyone would forget about Zade's achievements. This ultimately spurned the fire of jealousy inside Zade, but for the sake of the organization, he kept quiet all these years and slowly started building his power in secret.

But destiny gave him a big surprise. His first son, Drake was born with immense talent comparable to Salar himself. And a year later, a daughter was born from Salar, who didn't had any warlock traits from birth.

This sparked a huge arguments between both the sides. After that, some other incidents happened and the control of organization was slipped from the hands of Salar and fell into Zade's.

Right now, Emily is not in a good position and hence she went out to build a team that would be loyal to her and would have the potential to become the strongest force in the world.

Emily wanted to create her own force.

She was born with a gift.

Gift is akin to a title of sorts. This gift does not provide any skills nor status boosts, it doesn't even give them a unique essence. But what a gift does give is something very special and a unique ability.

Emily's gift was 'Absolute Monster Controller'. With this gift, she could control every and any monster she desires, in absolutely any way. If she gives them order to die, they will. The only restriction is the Rank of the monsters. She can only order her absolute authority on the monsters at her Rank or lower.

But the most terrifying thing about this gift was, there was no limit for the numbers and absolutely no penalties. If Emily reached SS-Rank someday, then she could unite every monster on the planet with a single thought.

Due to this, no one would be able to stop her, if she ever reaches the top. So, in order to stop anyone knowing her true gift, Salar announced that she had a rare illusion elemental essence. After that Salar ordered Emily to form a group that is fully dedicated to her by heart and soul. And Garrett was going to be the first member of that group.

Emily even had a name for her new going to be team, 'Hellcross Society'.
