Proposal and Surgery

"What did you steal?" Jasmine asked, scared.

"Your heart Jaz I stole this heart of yours' ' Josh said, removing the hand cuffs and the policeman smiled. Something poured on her and she looked up and saw rose petals. she blushed really really hard. she covered her face feeling so emotional.

"O.M.G '' Jasmine said immediately Josh went on his Knee. Her dream came through at last. Getting married to her first and only love.

Jasmine couldn't control the tears any longer.

"Yes Yes" she said emotionally, Josh smiled widely and put the ring in her fourth finger. She hugged him and he hugged tighter.

"Thank you", he disengaged from the hug. They both stared at each others' eyeballs. It was first , like they were exploring each other's lips. She closed her eyes slowly and released herself to get lost in the warmth of the kiss. Joshua sucked more on her bottom lips. It was like Josh's lips became softer all of a sudden because she felt like kissing him forever. They disengaged when they heard flashes of light which means they are being snapped "Congrat Jasmine Dalton ''. They teased and she blushed smiling .

" Thanks everyone" Joshua said elated. "So you guys planned it, that was while you never picked my calls", Jasmine said. "You can say that again Donald, Charlotte, Alex and Valerie chorused and She smiled. She doesn't write or make use of a diary but she promised herself to order one.

This is the happiest moment in her life.

Charlotte entered Andrew's room and screamed in horror. He was coughing out blood.

"What happened?" she shouted.

"The medi_cine room, Get me...my dr. ug" he tried so much to say and Charlotte ran downstairs, she punched in the code and took all the nylon bags containing his drugs. She rushed to the refrigerator to get water and ran upstairs. She carried Andrew up, and managed to put the malications in his mouth. She gave him water and he gulped everything down. A few minutes later she was finally able to carry him on the bed.

"Ouch" she winced and laid beside him . She remembered the doctors Charlotte felt warning not to stress herself to keep the baby safe. She said a short prayer to keep the baby safe and slept off.

Andrew woke up and saw Charlotte beside him. He recalled what happened and jerked up quickly.

"charlotte?" He whispered but no answer. He Jumped out of bed and checked her pulse. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw her pulse was okay. He stood up and staggered backward then sat back on the bed trying to gather some strength.

"what's up?" Charlotte said, sitting up.

"I'm fine" he said standing up again but Charlotte was quick to hold him down.

"you're not just resting, okay I will clean up" "says a pregnant woman who just got stressed out because of me" he said,sarcasm evident in his voice.

" I'm pregnant but that doesn't mean I'm weak, stop having the mindset that being pregnant means I can do nothing on my own" Charlotte glared at him.

"You went through stress again just because of me" Andrew said looking away.

"And you made me go through it by refusing to take your drug, you promised me you were going to be the father of the baby, remember" Andrew stared at Charlotte for a while then said yes.

"You've used two weeks out of the one month you were given. How will my baby call you dad when you're dead?". charlotte said.

"I will do the surgery!"

"This week and you ain't saying no" she said with finality and went to his closet to clean up the tiles,

" turtle neck" he mumbled immediately she was done cleaning up.he Just wanted to pull her legs a little. Charlotte frowned and faced him.

"That reminds me, how dare you save the password with turtleneck" she glared at him and he laughed

"I knew you love the name for you to think I might use it as the code, it really fits you though" he said and smiled.

" I'm so going to kill you today," Charlotte said and jumped on him, punching him.

"I can't retaliate because you're Pregnant" Andrew said between laughter and Charlotte released him abruptly.

Andrew got to the hospital and met Hazel attending to a little boy,

"what about my parent?" The boy asked, staring at Hazel. Andrew quickly hid beside the door. Hazel looked back and forth.

"To be sincere with you Hayden, they've gone to meet God," Hazel said, stroking his hair lovingly.

"I don't get you Aunty Hazel" The little boy salad batted his eyelashes. They seem to know each other. thought.

"I mean they are dead, only you survived the incident". He tried processing what he just heard and frowned, looking more confused.

"You said they've gone to meet God just now"

"Yes… God sometimes calls good people when he needs them" Hazel explained further.

" Sister Hazel" Hayden called and she answered yes.

"Can you please do me a favour?"

" Which is ?"

"Tell God not to take my parents. There are alot of good people in the world except my parents, I need them the most" the boy said and she hugged him. He sobbed on his shoulder.

He is young and really smart. No doubt the relationship between him and his parents was really cordial. If not for the fact Charlotte is pregnant, he wouldn't mind adopting him.

He tiptoed back to his office and called for Hazel an hour later. She knocked on the door and was ushered in.

" sit down" Andy motioned and she obeyed. She stared into his eyes and quickly looked away to avoid getting lost in them.

" Can you adopt that little boy, Hayden?" He said and she nodded.

" You heard everything?" she asked and he nodded yes.

"I will open an account for him and you can take any money there when you're in need of it, please take very good care of him and never let him lack anything"she nodded, she had loved Hayden ever since he was rushed to the hospital. she can't believe Andrew can be this nice. Her forever crush but the fact they can't work made her lose hope but never reduced her feelings for him.

" One last thing, listen attentively to this" Andrew told her everything and his sickness. she nodded sadly. He stood up ready to go out but Hazel quickly hugged him and sobbed on his chest.

"I will miss you" she whispered. He disengaged from the hug and wiped off her tears.

"Bet I will miss you more, let's go see Hayden '' They left hand in hand to his ward. Those who saw them were surprised but did not dare talk.

They got to this ward and he was playing a game with Hazel's phone. He smiled upon sighting her.

"I told you I was goma beat your score" he beamed showing her his score in the subway surf game and she gasped.

"wow"

"Put a respect on my name for beating your high score" he boasted and she laughed.

"Meet Andrew, the new dad God told me to give you" she said and Andrew gasped but replaced it with a fake smile when Hayden looked at him. He smiled and Andrew hugged him and glared at Hazel who shrugged.

"And I guess you're my new mom" she sat down beside him and ruffled his hair playfully.

"Yes…honey" she said and Hayden hugged both of them.

Andrew was in the ward. The surgery will commence in less than an hour's time. Charlotte sat on a chair beside him holding his hands.

" What are you guys doing here?" Charlotte asked to see Donald, Jasmine, Josh, and Alexander.

"Hazel?" she said and hugged her.

"Hi," she smiled warmly, hugging her.

"I called them" Andrew said and she mouthed an "oh".

"Come closer Alex" he said but it came as a whisper.

He took his hands and joined with that of Charlotte. She gave him the "WTF" look but he wasn't even ready for that. They both felt the spark and tried removing their hands but Andrew returned it back.

"It is now your duty Alex to take good care of her and your baby, if any harm comes to her, I will hold you responsible?" Andrew Said and Charlotte were numb for a while. "Baby..." Alex trailed off.

" Yes, the baby is still there, we both discovered that a few weeks ago. Charlotte looked away from Jasmine and Donald's gaze. she never told them because she doesn't know how to.

They stayed with him until the time of the surgery was up, ten minutes to the surgery they wished him good luck and started leaving.

" Remember your promise and stay alive okay?" Charlotte said pointing to her stomach and he nodded, smiling sadly.

"Come here" Andrew said to Hazel and hugged her.

"Take good care of yourself and Hayden okay? I will be fine" she nodded and left the ward.
