Song Jingren looked at the ceiling and sighed.
He couldn't believe that he agreed to sleep with his wife.
Yes, he was sleeping with his wife. Literally and figuratively.
"Hubby, " Zuni called out his name in a whiny voice. "It's uncomfortable. I'm feeling so hot. It's so tight here."
"Shut up, " Song Jingren said as she zipped her mouth. He glanced at the burrito beside him and patted himself inwardly for using his brain. "Sleep or I will throw you out of the window."
Zuni, who was wrapped in the blanket like a burrito, nodded her head. She couldn't move her arms or feet as her husband had wrapped her in a blanket like a burrito and used his ties to bind the blanket. She couldn't get out of this jail no matter how much she tried. Her dream of sleeping with him was shattered into tiny tiny pieces.
They were on the same bed but she couldn't touch him or feel his abs under her fingers. How pitiful she was!
Since he was lying next to her, she didn't fight the drowsiness and fell asleep next to him.
The next morning, Song Jingren woke up first. Seeing his wife still tied in the blanket, he felt a little helpless. This woman drove him insane. He untied her and let her spread her arms and legs. Was he being too cruel to her? He didn't know. But he knew that he couldn't sleep next to her without getting eaten by a fox. He needed to ensure his security while keeping his promise.
Looking at her sleeping like an innocent baby, he couldn't tell this angel was a hell-raiser.
He leaned down and pecked her forehead before whispering, "Goodbye, Zuni."
Zuni woke up at noon with a black card placed near her pillow. She tsked as she stared at the card and scoffed in her heart.
She raided his closet again and pulled out a white shirt. For bottoms…
She found his denim shorts in the closet. A misbehaviour idea flashes in her heart as she grabs his shorts and scissors to adjust them to her size.
Now she was dressed in shorts that reached her thighs, an oversized white shirt, his belt, his sunglasses and her heels.
"Damn, I look so cool, " Zuni gasped as she looked into the mirror. Who could tell that she was wearing her husband's clothes? She looked hot as well as cool.
She pulled out her phone and dialled a number, "Luna, we are going shopping! Pick me up from my place."
___
Song Jingren looked at his vibrating phone and sighed. It was a bank message again. Someone was swiping his card frequently.
"So, stupid of me to think she didn't marry me for money, " Song Jingren whispered to himself as she married himself in work again.
In the mall…
"We are taking all of these clothes!" Zuni announced as she swiped her card once again. She bought clothes worth a year.
"Most of the clothes you buy are dresses. You don't even like dresses, " Luna said, quite distressed.
"I'm a married woman now, " Zuni deadpanned. "Dresses are more accessible than jeans!"
"We will leave after an hour, " Luna said as they came out of the store. "The traffic will be at its peak at this hour. A minister is coming to the neighbourhood for the inauguration or something. It's a big event, I heard. It will begin in a few hours and so, the traffic. Let's hang out in the restaurant in the mall until then."
Zuni shrugged. "Let's not come to this Mall again. I don't even like it."
"Miss, we can't afford to go to other malls, " Luna reminded her. "Long family and Xin family have malls across the country. What if you meet someone you don't want to meet?"
Zuni pursed her lips. It's a headache when your family is ultra-rich and influential.
"I will be back after visiting the powder room real quick, " Luna grinned as she showed her pinky finger and disappeared leaving all the bags with Zuni.
Before Zuni could curse Luna for leaving her alone with all the bags, her gaze fall on the tall girl in the crowd and she shouted, "Zoe!"
It appeared as if the girl heard her shriek as her grey eyes widened and she ran out of the mall.
Zuni ran at a frightening speed after the girl, throwing all the bags behind.
"Zoe! Wait. I know it's you, " Zuni ran to no destination in particular. As she exited the mall, she didn't see anyone there. Since there was a single way out of the mall, she ran after the invisible ghost-like a mad woman.
"Zoe!"
"Zoe!"
"Don't go please!"
Zuni didn't know how long she ran after the invisible ghost but she didn't stop in hopes that she would see her again. A car appeared out of nowhere and it was about to hit her but before the car could hit her, she felt someone pulling back her body. When she hit a sturdy chest, she looked up only to see a pair of angry brown eyes looking at her. Her back stiffened and she gulped in fear.
"Zh- Zhixin Ge?"
