Well, I see, the house's location is quite odd since it's located in the heart of this forest.
I just discarded the things that were running through my mind. I painted a smile on my face when I noticed Macey staring at me.
I combed her soft hair using my fingers. She leaned over me and lightly hugged her small arms. She could not hug me completely because her arm could not cover my entire waist.
She has little arms, anyway.
So I hugged him on my own. I also slightly squeezed her pretty cute cheeks.
I was still teasing Macey when I suddenly remembered that I hadn't even introduced Chren to my companions. I look at Chren's seat. He looks awkward there, sitting with the girls.
"Uhm, guys." I cleared my throat to get everyone's attention.
I forgot to introduce my friend to everyone, I guess." My companions nodded at the same time.
I also thought of a possible topic so as not to be awkward with each other. "He's Chen." I... I met him the other day." Let me introduce you here.
I look at where he was sitting and took a deep breath when I saw, for a moment, his lips curved.
"Chren Adin Vounray, right?"
"Yes," he confirmed.
So, Chren, these are my friends, "Camilla, Abi, Francine, and Lily." I pointed in the girls' direction one by one.
"And then this little girl here is Macey." I added.
The boy smiled shyly when I mentioned his name. I squeezed her slightly reddened cheek again.
Fortunately, they also quickly reconciled with Chren. I told them he's a foreigner, that's why they need to speak in English. Later on, they talked a lot that I also joined in on.
"Anyway, why are you in the forest? And how did you end up being chased by that large snake?" Camilla consecutively asked, referring to Chren, who was applying the squeezed extract of the herbal medicine to the back of his hand.
He had some scratches.
I was just trying to find a nice view to take a picture, I just came from a store, then I ended up there at first, I was just at the entrance, but I was attracted by the tall trees and cool view of nature in the deeper part of the forest," he explained.
"That's when I stepped into a slippery something, too late to realize that it was a snake, I nearly got bitten, luckily I ran fast to escape from it."
I nodded as well. "That explains why you have your selfie stick." I commented.
"How about you?" he asked.
"We're just sitting on the large bark of a tree lying on the ground. When we were about to leave and come back to eat dinner, we heard a little girl crying. And then things happened. We were chased by a snake too, but ours was smaller than the one chasing you a while ago." Lily answered. We just amused ourselves to somehow get rid of the feelings of tiredness, nervousness, and fear that we might encounter another wild animal.
I looked out the window where I could see the outside.
