The interview, the reason

"Okay now tell me what will happen if I mix these two gases?",asked Ronald pointing two names of gases in his notebook

"It would form a highly explosive gas enough to kill you instantly",answered Sam with a smirk to impress Ronald, Sam had read all of the questions in the files made by Marie .

Marie had written down everything Ronald liked and everything would he disliked,one of his liking was to remain disgusted with mankind. Marie had written that he immensely hated the mankind and how fast they grew. He had some personal grudge against almost all people. There must have been some incident to make Ronald hate mankind this much. Sam knew that if he showed interest in killings or showed pleasure in the talk of destroying mankind , Ronald would certainly be impressed.

"Okay so you have answered all my questions correctly and I see you are well-behaved and I can't find any problems with your behaviour so I think I would hire you....as my assistant.",said Ronald with his hands in his pockets,"I will tell you the rules and regulations about this place and the project we are working on is very confidential . So I hope you will follow the decorum and keep working with me".

"Yes sir it would be a great pleasure",said Sam.

"Do you have a family ?", asked Ronald.

Sam thought a little then had to reply,"No"

"What work did you use to do before you joined here?", Ronald inquired

Sam was sweating a bit,"umm....ugh......well.....I worked as a ... An assistant for another chemist ...yes ....I was an assistant before too.",answered Sam nervously.

"Oh that's great. Then you must be already knowing about how assistants take care of things. It would be easier for you then.",said Ronald

"Well yes", answered Sam with a nervous smile .

"You don't live with your family?",asked Ronald again

"No actually my mother passed away due to a heart issue ", said Sam sadly

"Sorry to hear that",said Ronald without any sorrow in his cold voice,"what about your father?"

Sam again thought what to answer then said,"he left.......he went away and never returned.....my mother searched for him ......he had promised us he would return but he didnot. We waited for him but then my mother wanted to search for him. So we came here and it was the pressure of all the things that caused her death..........dad left"

"I am soo sorry",said Ronald,this time with some emotion."they are all like that....they leave you and never come back.........they forget about you.....my dad was the same. He left me and my mother. She cried for him but he left and she couldn't bear the pain of his leaving and she tried to suicide.... Can you believe that? I was a kid then! She didnot think of me! She tried to kill herself. But my uncle and I took her to the hospital and she was saved . My uncle tried to put some logic in her Brain. He told her if she died what would happen of me? But you know what she replied? She didn't care.... She didn't know I was listening. She must have regretted her words but it rang in my ears everytime. She didn't give a damn about me! She could freely leave me and go away like I was nothing! ",said Ronald with some moisture in his eyes.

Sam stood there in silence. He understood everything Ronald was doing and the reason for it . He understood it was just a silly revenge on people who were not alive. But still his story had an effect upon him.

And there seemed something wrong with the air.........both their eyes were moist with painful tears for the ones that left ......
