Cat Burglars

"We'll continue this later. Right now we've got to get to that station and get that book somehow", Anqa said helping Edge up from the car's hood and leading him back into the car.

"Watch the seat please", Aaron called out as he entered the driver's seat and started up the car.

"We would need a helluva plan if we are going to pull this off with you both fighting like this", Maurice said heaving a sigh...

Aaron pulled up right across the road by the station. Edge already passed out during the ride. The dark green veins has worsened and covered his arms and hands.

"So what's the plan cause we can't just walk in there and ask for the book", Aaron said looking out his window towards the station,"Oh and I can't be seen in there. Some British investigator dude is all up in my ass", he added then looked back at Anqa who was holding on to Edge. He was restlessly turning like he was having a nightmare.

"Whatever we are going to do we'll have to be fast. I don't think he can take much more of this pain", Anqa said laying him down comfortably on the car seat then covering him up with his brown leather jacket.

"Well it's a police station. It'll be pretty locked up tight. If we're going to sneak in there we'll need a helluva distraction", Aaron suggested.

"I can handle a distraction", Maurice said grooming herself then slowly looked up at Aaron, her large golden yellow glistening in the light. Aaron was overwhelmed with a need to reach for her and pet her.

"Ouch!! Did you just bite me?", Aaron winced in pain. Maurice had bitten his finger as they approached to pet her.

"See? Works everytime", she said jumping out the window onto the street,"Sneak in on my cue", she added as she catwalked across the road not even looking on for incoming vehicles.

"That's one helluva cat you've got there", Anqa said snorting out a laugh.

"She obviously owns me not the other way round. I live to serve her", Aaron replied as the both burst into laughter.

"Look I'm sorry if I've been bitchy towards you or something. It's just that, with everything that has happened yunno, maybe I just needed some closure. I guess I'm still just having a hard time believing I've got a handsome twin brother", Anqa said with a scoff,"I've just been alone all my life, just me and Idris. I had a pretty tough life with no room for emotions so all this is kind of new to me. Just bear with me", she added looking at Aaron sympathetically eye to eye.

"Yeah, I got you. We're cool. Me I'm having a hard time believing we are robbing a police station with talking animals", Aaron replied as they but burst into laughter.

Maurice catwalked across the road till he got to the front of the station. She waited till a man opened the door to walk out and she slowly walked in before the glass door closed gently behind her.

She walked up to a desk where an officer was working on his computer then jumped onto his laps. He jerked back immediately alarmed thinking it was a large rat but when he saw it was just a white cat he calmed down.

"Oh hey there lil fella, how did you get in here?", the officer asked making the worst mistake of his entire life by lifting her with a pinch by the nape of her neck. She gave him the cute cat stare with her bulging glistening eyes as she meowed lightly.

"Awwwwwwwwww", the officer was completely mesmerized as he stared back at her bringing his face closer.

Maurice gave a fierce hiss digging her sharp claws into his face and tearing at it.

The officer shrieked in pain and dropped her. She held on to his arm and flung herself towards his belt gun holster. She dug her claws deep into his side to balance herself as he rose and started turning to shake her off, screaming. She reached for the holster and flipped it opened then dragged the gun out onto the floor. She pushed off from the officer's body landing on her feet but the officer couldn't retain his balance as he fell on his ass.

She took the gun handle in her mouth and started running.

"Stop that cat!!!", The officer called out still sitting on the floor. Every other officer alarmed, rose from there desks trying to grab her but she was too quick and agile, dodging their attempts effortlessly, jumping from desk to desk.

Till she was cornered ... Or was she?

They all approached from all corners walking slowly towards her, arms stretched ready to grab her. She just stood there, her butt against the wall. She slowly dropped the gun on the floor then let a sly smirk creep out her face. She placed a paw on the gun and the approaching officers halted immediately. She started playing with the gun, hitting it around with her paws. The officers stared on not sure what's happening. She then intentionally turned off the safety switch on the gun then pushed the trigger inwards.

*BAM!!!* Went the gun. All the officers took to their heels and scattered across the room.

She looked up on the wall and saw where all the guns and grenades where hung on shelves. She sprang up, stepping on the wall then onto the shelf where the flash grenades where kept. She used her teeth to pull the pins of the grenades then push it down from the shelf one after the other. She would shove some so hard that it would fly across the room.

*BAM! BAM!! BAM!!! * They all started going off blinding the officers who were still in the room. She continued pushing the grenades off the shelf. She was not affected by the blinding lights. It was total chaos inside the station as no one could see a thing. Some were hiding under there desks while some tried to feel their way out with their hands stretched out into the air feeling for obstacles.

OUTSIDE

"Yeah, I got you. We're cool. Me I'm having a hard time believing we are robbing a police station with talking animals", Aaron replied as they but burst into laughter.

*BAM!* "I think that's our cue", Aaron said as their laughter ceased.

"Here, cover your face with this", Anqa said handing him Edge's balaclava mask. They both wore the mask and left the car leaving Idris to watch Edge. They ran across the street then entered an alley beside the station. The entered through the back door and ran through the room where Maurice was causing chaos with their arm over their face covering their eyes from the blinding flashes.

They ran into the evidence room and shut the door.

"We better find that book quick", Aaron said looking around.

"Where do we even begin?", Anqa said with a brief sigh.

At the far end of the room, they noticed the shelf rattling. They ran towards the shelf and there stood a brown box shaking furiously like something was trapped inside. Aaron reached out and slowly opened the box. The rattling ceased immediately and there lay the scary black book with bizarre markings....
