Emma was surprised by Marlowe's question. She realized she had been found out. She wondered how long Marlowe had been following her. Gosh... she regretted her lack of awareness of her surroundings. She wasn't like this before.
"I am sorry for trespassing. It was an accident," Emma quickly said. "I was distraught and didn't really realize that I entered the forest. I will go now."
"You're not going anywhere." Marlowe narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Even though you said you trespassed by accident, you still have to be punished."
"Why?" Emma gritted her teeth. "You cannot punish someone for an accident or honest mistakes."
She always found Marlowe annoying but she could still stand him. She actually thought the man was annoyingly interesting, and the fact that he had many awesome animals was a plus point for her. However, today, she was not in the mood to argue with the Beast Master.
