Let's be together

Harry's Pov

I'm new to this place and I am going to new schools. My father got transferred, so our family moved here. I transfer to the school nearby.

I was standing at the bus stop. I don't know which bus to take. I stand there nervously. No one around to ask. There comes a bus. I don't know if I need to get in or not. At the bus stop, I looked inside few students was wearing the same uniform as mine. Then I get on the bus and stand there because there is no seat.

After a few minutes, I noticed someone. Who was not worried about anything sitting in a window seat. Her earphones were on. She looks pretty. And we are in the same school. I don't know which class she is in.

I just her time by time. But she didn't notice me. After a few minutes, all the students and she also get down from the bus. Then I understand our school arrived. Then I got down to walk behind her.

I have to go in a different direction. So I changed my feet towards the staff room.

Will I meet her again?

After meeting the teacher, we went to our class. When I enter everyone start murmuring. The teacher asks me to introduce myself. As I prepare for an introduction I start speaking.

"Hi. I'm Harry" I stopped and lock with the pair of eyes.

I prepared a full essay for the introduction. But couldn't speak anything else after that. That's her. The girl I saw on the bus. Woah I'm so happy to meet her again. The teacher asks me to sit beside her. What? I was shocked. I don't know what kind of feeling is this but it's awesome.

Then I sit beside her. She whispered hi and her name. So cute. I like this feeling.

Next day

Nia pov

*Alarm* "Ahhhh! This stupid alarm. Always disturb my sleep."

I wake up and sit in my bed without even opening my eyes. Then I remember that I have to go to school. I got up from my bed and did my routines.

After a few minutes, I am ready to go to school. Then I go downstairs with my bag. I saw that Lia was waiting for breakfast, and mom brought them to the dining table.

"Nia come and eat your breakfast." My mom said while serving food.

I nodded and sat near my dad. As usual, no one speaks anything. There is a pin drop silence. We finished the food and I said

"Ok bye! I'm going to school." I waved at them and started walking towards the bus stop.

The bus arrived and I got a window seat. Then I plugged in my earphones and started listening to music.

After a few minutes on the bus at Harry's stop, I saw him getting inside the bus and sitting near me.

I remove the earphone from my ears.

"Good Morning!" I said with a smile.

"Good Morning!" He said excitedly.

I don't know what to say next. We silently sat there. Then I offered one side of the earphones to him. He accepted and started hearing music. After a few minutes, our school reached. Then we get down from the bus and start walking towards the school.

We are walking together. Everyone is looking at us.

Then I heard someone calling. I stopped and turned back. It's no other than Emma. She ran to me and hugged me. I hug her back and then she looks at Harry who is looking at us.

"Hi! Harry!" Emma said.

"Hi...!" Nervously "Sorry! Do I know you?"

"Oh, we are in the same class. My name is Emma." She introduced herself.

"Oh, I see. Hi Emma." He said.

I looked at them with a smile. They looked at me. Then we walk towards our class.

After a few minutes, I and Harry are talking about random things and then someone interrupts us.

"Good Morning Harry," Sherlyn said.

"And Good Morning loser." I just frowned at her.

"What do you want?" Harry asked with a deep voice.

"Nothing. I just wanna ask how your new friend is." She said,

"Why do you even bother?" Harry said with a disgusted face.

I smiled at the way he spoke. She was shocked by his reaction. Then he continued talking to me, by just ignoring her.

She stomps her feet and walks away from us.

I looked at him and he looked at me and asked

"What?"

"Nothing! Just curious." I said without even blinking.

"Curious? About what?" He asked curiously.

"Are you my friend or…."

"Or what?" He frowned at me.

"Or you're just being nice to me because you're new here, you don't have friends. And you will leave me when you find new friends just like others." I shift my gaze to Emma. He looked at her and then at me. He was about to say something but our teacher entered the class.

After a few minutes, the bell rang. The teacher left the class and we are sitting in our seats. I can feel that he is staring at me. I turn my head and see him. He just stared straight into my eyes. I couldn't hold him, smiled slightly, and turned my head. Again Harry tried to speak.

"I just-" our class representative started speaking in front of our class.

'Thank you so much. Thank you for helping me.' I thank him in my mind.

"Good morning guys. Today everyone in our class should enroll in any club you're interested in. That's all. Thank you."

Then he went away and everyone started leaving the class so I tried to leave before Harry said something.

Then he came just behind me.

"Which club are you going to join?" He asked me.

"I don't know!" I said while looking at the list of clubs on the notice board.

"And you?" I looked at him.

"Me too." He signed.

"I want to join a music club," I said with a pout.

He smiled at me.

"Then join in it." He said.

"I don't want to be." I sighed.

"But just now you said you want to join in." He was confused.

"I don't want to be alone." I sighed again.

"Who said you're gonna be alone? I'm here." He said excitedly.

"Are you going to join a music club?" I surprised.

"Yes. If you are going in then I will also join." I'm shocked and stared at him for a while.

Then he looked at me and said

"I know I am handsome, don't stare at me like that." I came to reality.

"Then we can join a music club," I said awkwardly.

A few minutes after enrolling in the club all the clubs have a meeting in their place. We went to the music room for the meeting. There are only a few members in it.

The seniors were there. It was just an introductory meeting so it ended quickly. We have a free period until lunch break.

Our club meeting finished soon. But other clubs have meetings. I and Harry walk through the hallway because we don't know what to do.

Then I stopped and he also looked.

"Come with me." I grabbed his hand.

"Wh-where?" He shutters.

I took him to the rooftop of the building to show him the amazing view.

He was so confused about where I was taking him until I opened the door. His mouth dropped when he saw the view. I was so happy to see him like this.

"Wow!!!" He said with his mouth open.

I giggled lightly. And I sat there and he sat next to me and started admiring the view. A smile appeared on my face without even knowing.

"What did you ask me in the morning?" He spoke up.

"What did I ask?" I didn't even ask him.

"You're curious about my friendship with you." Then I realized 'oh shit he still remembers this. I said there quietly. But he asked me again.

"I am just curious. That's all." I said without looking at him.

"Why?" He is not going to leave this topic.

"Because no one wants to be my friend. They will talk with me only when they need something from me. Emma is the only friend I have. But she only talks with me when her friends are not around… so…"

"So." He speaks in a rude voice.

"So I am curious if you are my real friend or just being nice to me because you're new here…" I said everything that I wanted to say.

"Nia…" He breathed heavily.

I looked at him without saying anything.

"Trust me. I won't leave or ignore you for anyone. Maybe I will make new friends but I won't leave you alone. I don't want friends who don't want you. I just want you. That's all. That's why I joined the music club."

I was surprised by his words. Just looking at him not doing anything. And I don't know what to do. Just staring at him.

"Let's be together." He said.

Now I am even more shocked.

"Even if you leave me I won't leave you. I promise." I don't know what to reply to him.

I was so shocked. Is this feeling good? Is he serious? Still, now I didn't take my eyes off him.

For a while silence developed between us. Then he decided to break it.

"Why are you not saying anything?"

"I'm just shocked and don't know what to say," I said to him,

"You don't want to have a friendship with me?"

"No…. Not like that. I want to be your friend. But…"

"So you're not believing me, right?" He said immediately.

"No! Not like-"

"Fine! You don't need to believe me. I will prove to you that what I said is true." He cuts me while saying something.

"No! I-..." Again I tried to speak but he cut me again and said.

"Just don't say anything." He placed his finger on my lips. "Let's go, it's time for the bell, and let's go and eat lunch together."

I didn't dare to say anything. I just nodded and we went to the cafeteria.

There are only a few students there because the bell didn't ring until now. We take our food and sit together.

We had food talking about random things. After finishing our food we again went to the rooftop. Now I like to spend more time with him. I'm so happy.

"You're so handsome!" I said looking at him.

"Thank you." Shyly he said.

I giggled at his reaction.

"Oh. Now I understand." He said

"What?" I asked.

"That's why you're staring at me, right?" Again he said shyly.

"What? No way bro. I didn't stare at you because you're handsome. I stared at you because you're acting weird."

I said furiously.

He started laughing so hard.

"You're so cute." He said while laughing. I started blushing but I didn't show out.

"I know that!" I said by throwing my hair in a sassy way.

He even laughed more. I'm so happy.

We talked, laughed, and joked about each other. This place created very good memories for us.

After a few minutes, we left the rooftop because the bell rang a few minutes. While we are going to our class I bump into someone. I said sorry and looked at the person, it was Emma and her friends. I smiled at Emma but she acted like she didn't see me. His friends started to push.

"Don't have eyes, you loser." Everyone laughed at me.

Then one of her friends came near.

"Ask sorry to hear." One of her friends said,

"I already asked," I said.

"But you have to ask sorry by kneeling." She said,

I didn't do anything. I didn't speak or kneel. She gets angry.

"Didn't you hear what she said?" Her other friend said.

I looked at Emma who was not doing anything or supporting me. I am her friend but she is not helping or supporting me. I feel so sad.

"I won't kneel in front of you. Because I didn't do anything wrong. I even asked sorry to hear about bumping." Emma was shocked by what I said and she knows what will happen next. I was about to go but then.

"How dare you!" She was about to slap me but she stopped when someone held her hands. Harry stopped slapping me.

"Don't you dare touch her!" He was so angry. We can read it by looking into his eyes.
