Yan Xiyan

"Do you remember your name?" Dr. Tang asked his patient when she woke up the next day.

"I don't remember. How long was I in coma?" Unlike her panic from yesterday, she was calm as she spoke with the doctor.

"Two weeks," he answered.

"I see."

**ONE YEAR LATER**

On the fourth floor of the strategic planning building, General Yan was walking out of his office with a Sergeant Zhang man, a man in his thirties. He said, "General, rest assured, I will take care of Yan Xiyan."

Wearing a military uniform, the elderly general Yan walked as intimidatingly as a soldier, despite his advanced age.

Sergeant Zhang, a world-class sniper, accompanied General Yan and treated him with the utmost respect.

"I feel sorry for her, and I hope you can teach her more." sighed General Yan emotionally. "She is intelligent. You instruct her from Mondays to Fridays, and I will teach her when she's back home. This way, her life will be easier in the future."

At least, it would be much easier than that of his late son.

Ever since Xu Xiyan woke up, she had been living with General Yan. She lied about losing her memories and has been adopted by General Yan.

Tears were glistened in her eyes. Even then Yan Xiyan still had an incredibly determined look in her eyes, which were reflecting rays as resplendent as that of diamonds. "Yes. I will bear your words in mind"
