EPISODE SEVEN

SOMETIMES WHAT WE WANT OPEN OUR MOUTH.

Faith and John are becoming more and more intimate, that everyone in Mrs WK'S office and home know this two together . Rumours has been circulating that this two are dating. Most of John's colleagues are jealous and most time when they have chance to chat with John, their topic is always on the intimacy between John and Faith. Several times John's colleagues had asked him what's going on between the two, but John would always told them it's just friendship. None of them believe it could just be friendship with that much intimacy.

The romour had circulated that it had become a topic of discussion in Mrs WK'S office and home, although Faith had received information about how the workers in the house are carrying the fake info, but it later happened that she witnessed where the topic is been discussed.

She was free one Saturday and decided to join the cook in the kitchen this is one of her attitude, she joins the cook in the kitchen to cook if she's free. But she caught the cooks discussing the topic of her and John dating each other she stood behind the door and the cooks were carried away that they don't even notice anyone at the door. She listened to all their discussions.

Cook 1: guys do you Know the latest in this house

Cook 2: no o.

Cook 3: tell us o

Cook 4: ( talking to cook 2 and 3) you guys no dey update . You no hear say Miss Faith and John they date.

Cook 3: which John

Cook 1: the security guy, wey dey always follow madam.

Cook 2: you mean my John

Cook 1: how is he your John?

Cook 2: that can't be possible, and Hy can't miss Faith find someone else, why is it John. I love that guy, it's just that he has not been looking at my side.

The three other cooks laughed at cook 2.

Cook 1: ( recovering from the laugh) My sister stop dreaming, who no like that handsome guy, but as things be now He don become miss Faith thing.

Cook 4: but how would miss Faith go so low to a security.

Cook 3: my sister the guy fine no be small

Cook 2: omo na juju

Faith couldn't help but cut in

Faith: weldone

The cooks shivering replied sorry man.

Cook 3: it was cook 1 that brought the topic ma.

Faith : it's ok. Am not angry with you guys but next time mind your businesses. You were gossiping that you don't even notice the burning yam ( she said with a big smile).

They all rushed to the burning yam. From Faith's look she had already forgiven them.

Faith went back to her room after the cooking, throughout she was thinking about John. She remembered what she cooks were saying then she wished it could be true.

Then she began talking to herself, asking herself series of questions.

Why has John. Not woo me yet?

He's he interested in me at all?

If he's not interested in me would he be this intimate?

Or is he scared or shy of telling me He loves me.

Yes he's scared!

But would it be polite if I am the one who shoot the shot.

She stood up and went straight to Mrs WK'S room, her mission was to seek advice from Mrs WK, but she planned not to go straight. Mrs WK was busy at that moment so she waiting for an hour, and finally she had access to Mrs WK.

Faith: hello mummy

Mrs WK: how are you daughter, hope no problem your look dull

Faith: no, I just woke up, so I decided to come see you, and I was told you're busy.

Mrs WK: yes I was busy having a discussion with some NGO body that deals with election, through Skype.

Faith: so how was it

Mrs WK: great, you know this people will find every means to rig this election and we have to do everything to stop them.

Faith : that's true. Mum! Is it right for a lady to woo a guy?

Mrs WK: hmm, well it's right and also wrong.

It's right in the sence that, some guys are too shy to make known their intention, some may be scared, in case where the lady is richer or of a higher class, so if a lady ask a guy out in this case it's nothing. But most time when it's a lady that asked a guy out, the guy might accept due to the claim that he doesn't want to disappoint the lady, the guy may even see the lady as cheap. Although a lady is only cheap when you open your leg for a man who has not yet paid your bride price.

They both laughed.

Mrs WK: why do you ask

Faith: mum...just to know.

Mrs WK : ok o, but be wise .

Yes ma Faith said. They discussed other issues concerning the election and Faith went back to her room.

In he room she remembered what Mrs WK told her about lady coming out to ask a guy out.

Could it be that He's shy or scared. I think I have to make a move ( she said to herself).

DIrty politics

On a Monday morning Mrs WK came down from Her vehicle as John opened the door. John sighted a strange man from afar, he noticed the man's hand was in his pocket . Immediately John alerted all the security, Mrs WK was a little bit far from the car and very far to the office entrance, so John asked her to move back to the car. As the strange man noticed what was happening he pull out a gun from his jacket and shot at Mrs WK, the at that time Mrs WK was close to the car. John threw her into the car which door is already opened as if she's a 3 years old baby ( the car is a bullet proof car). Before anything some other guys also came out( to support the strange man) piew! Kaka! Gbos! Was the sound that was coming out from every angle as both the strange men and John with other securities begin to exchange bullets. The situation seems to be getting worse so they tried to drive Mrs WK out of the scene, but unfortunately for John a bullet hit him on his arm. But Mrs WK was taking to a safe place.

John was taken to the hospital and taken care of, that night he came back home. John has immediately take back his duty, this time the security everywhere is tight. The incident had been reported to the police and further investigation has commence.

Faith came to check on John, she has not been ok after knowing about what happened to John, that day she wasn't in town, she went for a campaign in Anambra for Mrs WK. When she got back and saw that John was fine she was so happy. They both talked concerning the incident and later Faith said to him:

Faith: John you're educated, and I can help you get a job. Please just leave this Job .

John: my time is not up for this job, when my four years is complete I will leave the job. And I can quit at this time when Mrs Wk really needs me

Faith: why do you want to sacrifice your life for her, if you die she will easily forget about you.

John: I owe that woman slot

Faith: John I have become addicted to you, that I don't know what can happen to me if anything happens to you. I have come to realise that I love you and I want spend my whole life with you. I want you to be the father of my kids, my husband and everything.

John: Faith that is not possible the only feeling I have for you is of a friend, am sorry please we can't have anything more than that.

Faith: ( burst into tears) why John, let's just try and make things work between us( she moved close to him and hugged him tightly) please John.

John: am sorry Faith it can't work( he took her hand off his body and walk away)

Faith couldn't help but cry as she watched him walk away.
