"Hmm?" She snapped back to reality, "You guys have fun, I see someone I know, I'm going to say hi."

She spotted Clement Atkins.

Clement Atkins was alone, drinking at the bar.

Alumna Palmer sat down beside him: "Drinking alone, huh?"

He didn't respond, uninterested in the people, events, and sounds around him.

The bartender asked Alumna Palmer what she would like to drink.
