Demoness's clutch

A serene room filled with every luxury a woman can ever wish for. Still, she stood there, with a face filled with melancholy.

In a white shirt covering only till her mid-thighs and revealing her soft pale collarbone, she sat at the window frame looking at the empty sky.

The eagerness to be under that clear sky sounds like a dream to her. A dream that she can never achieve.

Crystal continued to stare when the only door in that penthouse burst open with a loud noise.

A man in a black suit, with his raven hair, sleekly put up. Silas walked straight towards where she was sitting hinged even after knowing his presence.

Without thinking a second, Silas pulled her up from her place clasping in his arms and pinning her onto the large french window.

"What the hell were you thinking!" He yelled, holding both her wrists with his hands. His cold voice was enough to terrorize anyone but she remain composed.

Nothing in the world scares her anymore. And he…only makes her feel disgusted. Seeing her being silent only made him more furious.

The grasp on her wrist got harder, Silas gritted his teeth still seeing her so calm. He controlled himself from hurting her further, and let go of her.

"Why can't you just speak for once?" He asked, tired of her silence.

"Canary kept in a cage will never sing. No matter if that cage is made of gold or diamond." Crystal spoke out, catching him by surprise.

His eyes flickered with shock and pain. With no words to speak, Silas sat down on the chair nearby, running his finger through his jet black hair.

How could he explain that she was not a canary for him? Except for her leaving his side, he satisfied every need in the last two years.

For two years, he tried every way to please her and get her love, he didn't even touch her at all except today, only because she lost control of his anger.

How could he not lose his temper, she did only something that even if he tries he can't accept. She put herself in danger, that was the crossing line for him.

From the day he fell in love with her, the only thing he asked for was her. But the reality was cruel, no one hates him more than her.

Two years ago~

In a club filled with people, four girls sit in one of the corners, vibing to the music. Cheering their shots, they gulped it one go.

"Congrats on graduating girl!" One of the women said hugging Crystal.

Her blonde hair made her stand out among all the three. Her smooth jade-like appearance made her no less than a model, taking half of the boy's heart there.

Aysel took another shot, then glanced at Elle and Mona, who sat there enjoying the view of the crowd dancing.

"Come on. Let's go dance." Crystal suggested getting up from her place. With wobbly steps, she hit the dance floor, after all, she was finally free from the dreadful place called university.

While her other three friends remained fitted at their place worried about their friend. Their friend was never good with alcohol, every time she drinks she creates chaos. Elle sighed and looked at Mona, "Should we take her home?" She asked her friend, afraid Crystal would do something embarrassing.

"Lol, she is finally free. Let her enjoy it for a bit." Aysel stated, sipping cocktails. Her eyes landed on the hunk sitting by the bar alone. She was interested in the guy but she kept it at her place. Soon the guy noticed her, and once she knew he was interested too. Aysel put the glass down and got up, her eyes still locked on the man.

"I will be back." She said and left towards the guy. Elle and Mona sighed knowing exactly where it was going.

"Poor fellow, falling under the demoness's clutch." Mona asserted watching Aysel flirting with the bar.

"I bet this one will last four weeks at most." Elle giggled, knowing how fast Aysel changed guys. Who would say by seeing her that she was a professor at one of the top universities in the country?

"Four weeks? You have high hopes. I bet just tonight." Mona choked on her wine, unable to control her laughter. Among all of them, Aysel changed guys way faster.

"Are you two alone? Want us to accompany you?" Two guys came to where Elle and Mona were sitting, diverting their attention from Aysel.

Elle and Mona looked at each other before accepting their offer. None of them was less than beauties but what's the point of being beautiful and being cursed at love? That's what they were, independent beauties ruling their career but can't have love of fairy tales.

But because of that curse they met each other and from then they never separated. Maybe having something common helped them bond like no other.

"I said f*ck off!" Crystal's voice echoed loud enough in the pub to catch the attention of everyone.
