Chapter 29

Two days had passed, and an unsettling feeling had taken hold of Jeanne Alter. She could sense the arrival of Fujimaru and Mash, accompanied by several other Servants. The intensity of their magical vibrations made it clear that it wasn't just the two of them.

"I feel that they have arrived," Jeanne Alter said in a charged tone. Her eyes fixed on the horizon, searching for a glimpse of the newcomers. She had ordered Vlad III and the other Servants to return, and now she felt an urgency to deal with their enemies.

"I will go," declared Vlad III firmly. He had already returned as ordered by Jeanne Alter, along with the other Servants. Now, he prepared himself to face the adversaries.

"I will be the one to decapitate them for their transgressions. I will join you as well. We cannot let them go unpunished," said Sanson with a mad expression in his eyes. His thirst for justice was insatiable, and he was ready to judge his enemies mercilessly.

"I see you're excited. It's better than being depressed or unwilling to fight," commented Jeanne Alter, directing her gaze towards Rèmy.

"Was that aimed at me? Don't worry, I'll fight since I'm under your command," responded Rèmy.

"You'd better just stand still since you're not good at fulfilling your duties. If you were, my precious Jeanne wouldn't have died," vociferated Gilles, fixing his hostile gaze on Rèmy, resembling an owl searching for its prey.

"Last I checked, she's not yours. So stop talking in that disgusting way. You're starting to annoy me," retorted Rèmy with disgust. He couldn't stand the way Gilles referred to Jeanne, even if it was Jeanne Alter.

"That's enough! Stop fighting! Rèmy, you will go with Vlad III. Kill them and don't let them enter here. With your power, I know you're capable," interrupted Jeanne Alter, putting an end to the argument. She wanted Rèmy to eliminate the enemies, knowing he was capable, but also knowing he had no choice but to obey her orders.

"Yes, master. Understood. I'll do my best," replied Rèmy. He hoped that Jeanne would have a way to help him, otherwise, he would have to fight against her. He knew his power was strong enough to face most, if not all, of the enemy Servants.

"Here we are," said Fujimaru, observing the gate of the city of Orleans. He hoped the invasion would be easy, but he would soon realize it wouldn't be.

"Don't worry, master. I will kill any enemy who dares to fight against you," affirmed Kiyohime, by Fujimaru's side. She wouldn't allow anyone to harm her beloved master, and her cheeks turned as red as ripe tomatoes.

"Are you already volunteering, you snake? Have you no shame in the words you speak? If I were in your place - thank God I'm not - I would be ashamed of what you just said," commented Elizabeth with disgust, casting a disdainful glance at the wingless serpent whose cheeks were red.

"Shut up, you four-legged lizard! You don't know what love is! My love for the master is not repugnant, and yes, I must protect him," replied Kiyohime, looking with contempt at Elizabeth. She considered the girl an idiot.

"What did you say? Repeat that!" retorted Elizabeth. How could she stay silent after hearing those words? She needed to act with nobility, but she also knew how to properly punish commoners.

"Alright, everyone can stop fighting," intervened Fujimaru before things got worse. He had encountered these two in a town.

"Of course, master~"

"You, you plebeian! How dare you speak to me like that? Ordering me to stop? I'll stop when I want to!"

"I'm sorry, senpai, but I can't interfere since they only listen to you." Mash couldn't help but apologize on Fujimaru's behalf. She knew her voice had no power over those two, the only thing she could do was stand by his side.

"Mash! Enough talking, servant signals heading towards you, they have already arrived!" Dr. Roman anxiously shouted, realizing that the servants were already at the location where Mash and Fujimaru were.

Upon hearing Dr. Roman's shout, Mash quickly positioned herself in front of her master, holding her shield to protect him. She saved Fujimaru's life by quickly heeding what the doctor had just said.

"Hello, miss." Vlad III spoke as he looked into the eyes of the girl who had just defended her master from his attack. He used his right foot to kick the shield and move away, avoiding a potential spear strike.

"Lucky for you, you moved, but next time you won't be so fortunate." Elizabeth couldn't help but feel a bit irritated for missing her spear strike and didn't plan on missing again.

"You! How dare you attack my beloved! I will reduce you to ashes!" Kiyohime became furious upon realizing that, if it wasn't for Mash, her precious master (fiancé) would have met his end. The lower half of her body transformed into a snake tail, and she lunged towards Vlad III with pure hatred in her eyes, ready to incinerate him completely.

Kiyohime attacked Vlad III with her fan, but before she could hit him, she felt a powerful blow to her left cheek, being thrown to the side before hitting the ground.

"Aren't you afraid of having hurt this young lady's face, Sir Rémy?" Who had just landed a kick to Kiyohime's face was Rémy. Vlad III curiously asked if Rémy didn't feel any remorse for kicking the girl.

"I believe she didn't mind." Rémy replied, looking at Kiyohime on the ground, who was already getting up. He summoned his lance in his hand.

"Rémy!" Mash exclaimed in surprise that Rémy had helped Vlad III by kicking Kiyohime. Rémy heard her calling him and looked at Mash and then at the other servants.
