Chapter 12: Identity

The orc warrior immediately runs towards Asher, but fortunately, Chronos immediately blocks the orc warrior's attack.

"Laser light!" Asher aims at the orc warrior until the orc falls.

Chronos quickly uses his dash skill and swings his sword at the fallen orc warrior on the floor, but the guardian orc uses his shield and blocks Chronos' attack and pushes him away.

"Argh! Sh**!" Chronos blocked the orc guardian's push using his sword. "I can't get close at all, that orc."

"Chronos, I'll try to distract the orc guardian, and when the time is right uses your sword to finish them off."

Asher throws his bomb item to distract the orc's vision, and then he fires his laser light at the orc guardian so that he can't see Chronos.

"Chronos, now!"

Chronos quickly used his dash skill and cut down the orc warrior and orc guardian quickly.

After rescuing all the fairies, they decide to bring them to the fairy chief.

"Fairy chief, we have successfully found the missing fairies." Persea flows towards the fairy elder in the center of the village square.

"Thank you, for saving our fairies." The village chief is very happy to see the other fairies are safe.

[Elf shoes: fluffy cloth shoes that fairies use for traveling and are believed to bring good luck to the user. increase luck by 10%]

"Yes, at least need an item to increase the luck status too." Asher put on the fairy shoes and increased the critical attack of his crafting skill.

Persea tells the fairy chief about the existence of the orc king and causes the chief to round his eyes until the wrinkles on his face are visible.

"Oh my, I have to tell the others about this immediately." The elf chief runs away from them and is instantly lost in sight.

Suddenly Asher's alarm notification appears on his screen indicating it's already midnight in the real world. They quickly log out of the game and prepare for the next day's online class.

During the online class, Asher's head occasionally drops until his face is not visible on the camera, making the teacher raises his eyebrow.

"Ethan!" his teacher's shout instantly wakes up Ethan who is still falling asleep.

"Uh, yes Sir!" Asher opens his eyes and immediately looks at his teacher's face. "What happens, Sir?"

"Oh my." The teacher just shakes his head at Ethan.

Ethan is speechless and doesn't look at the teacher's face at all. The teacher sighs and continues teaching until the online class is done.

"Children I hope you will keep studying this weekend. Remember you all need to graduate and get into the university of your choice."

"Yes, Sir!" Said all the kids in the online class."

After a while, the online class finally finished. Ethan immediately goes to the kitchen to look for something on the table and finds a bowl of rice, vegetable soup, and a few pieces of ham on the table. Aunt Luna seems to have arranged everything well, before leaving for work.

Ethan takes his lunch to the living room and starts to turn on the television. It seems that every time he turns on the television it's all about the sleeping beauty epidemic which is taking more and more victims. Ethan briefly glances into his mother's about how she is doing right now. However, he feels that she's too busy and does not have a chance to call him back.

"Ah, never mind. I'm too lazy to think about her now."

Ethan's cell phone rang and it turned out to be a call from Aidan who wants to invite him to play to complete Persea's mission.

"Eth, I also got the news that the owner of this game turns out to be part of the owner of the ABC Company"

Ethan's blue eyeballs instantly dilated upon hearing it. "Wait, you mean Alistair Bio-tech Company right?"

"Heh, where did you find out about that?" Aidan asked curiously. "Uh, but yeah, it's Alistair's company."

"That's where my mom's company works."

He explains his mother is one of the scientists at the company and only knows she works in the medical department. He simply does not expect the release of this game to be the same as a well-known medical company in the city.

"So, is there any news from your mom?"

Ethan let out a long breath. "Unfortunately, nothing yet."

There is silence for a moment between them, but Aidan turns the subject and says that Alistair's company is starting to look for a vaccine for the pandemic.

"I have a feeling this pandemic will be over soon, Eth." Aidan's voice sounded so excited. "We can feel the fresh again."

"Yes, at least I will not be stuck in this place again." Ethan rolls his eyes. "I can't wait until that happens."

"Wait Eth, there is another I wanna say."

Ethan furrowed his brows again. "Another thing, what is it?"

Aidan knows that Athena is a fairly commonly used name in VMMORPG games. Athena's name means the goddess of wisdom and defense, so many gamers especially women like using the name.

"I also get information from my relatives that there was a pro gamer using the "Athena028" nickname, but her true identity is still a mystery until now.

"But, I don't know any pro gamer at all, except you of course."

"Sus, but how do you know your email address?"

"Hmm ... I don't have any idea. Maybe I will ask my aunt if she maybe knows something about the nickname."

A few minutes later, they turn off the phone and Ethan tries to remember who the gamer he knows besides Aidan is, but to no avail. He decides to put on his nerve gear and enter the FOS again then he immediately gets spawned in the altaria village square.

Persea immediately greets Asher with a smile engraved on her lips. "Welcome, Asher I'm so glad to see you back."
