My eyes flew open as I heard footsteps coming from inside the house, it should not have caused me to feel suspicious as the house was filled with people, but it was the fact that the entire pack was under a strict curfew that caused my interest to peak. I carefully removed Xander’s arm from around my waist before moving to look out of the window to see a dark figure running from the house to the edge of the forest.

I let out a soft growl before opening the window and jumping down, I could feel a sharp pain in my ankle but brushed it off to pursue the figure. I tried to make out a face, but the person in question had worn a dark hood, preventing me from figuring their identity but the silhouette of their figure was enough to tell me the person was a female. The figure seemed to have realised I was running after them as she sped up, she was fast but I was faster.
