That he’d said it out loud had made all the difference. He’d asked, and so I hadn’t been worried about stating my feelings. Not that I’d worried about it anyway. I would have told him what I felt for him even if he hadn’t brought it up. But it had been easier knowing he wanted this, too.

We were just starting out, but it wouldn’t be long before my feelings got deeper. Just the way he looked at me, his blue eyes soft and full of heat, made my heart melt and my body tingle.
