Meeting unexpectedly, Jade was shocked and stayed where she was. As she was about to watch with Shane, her boyfriend appeared in front of her.

Swallowing her saliva, Jade looked at Shane by her side. The three of them then remained silent even though for a while until Max himself spoke up.

"I want to talk for a moment," Max said to Jade.

"Just talk here," Jade replied.

But Max looked at Shane who was by her side. He seemed to tell her that he only wanted to talk to her, alone.

"Just talk here, Max. I think Shane deserves to know too," Jade insisted.

Sighing, Max finally complied with Jade's wish. He knew Jade was getting annoyed with him too because of Max's decision to stay away from her even for a while.

"I think your father knows what vampire tracks look like, Jade. Maybe you could try removing your footprints or something that looks suspicious," Max informed her.

Jade raised one eyebrow. "How do you know?" Jade asked.
