Break Up

Jade forced Shane to take Max to her apartment. He was still unconscious and Shane promised to stay with her. Because it was too risky for her to leave Jade with Max in that unstable state.

"Is he going to be alright?" Jade asked. She was still staring at Max without turning her face to Shane.

"Are you all right now?" this time Shane asked without answering her question.

Jade looked at him as she exhaled. She didn't know how to answer, but she knew that Shane knew what she was feeling right now. And Shane really cared for her without expecting anything in return.

"I don't want to talk about me. You must already know how I am, Shane."

"Do you still want to be with him?"

She fell silent when she heard the question. She couldn't decide because she had so many things on her mind. She was afraid that if she broke up with Max, Max would be more rebellious than he did earlier. But if she didn't break up with him, she would feel very tired.
