38: New Beginnings

It was the start of December and for most, this would be the end of some things but for Nova, it was the start of her new life.

She woke up early, it was barely even light outside when she hurried into her bathroom to get ready. Deciding on an outfit to wear had been really stressful, if the tens of opened tabs on her laptop about 'outfits for a personal assistant' were any indication.

She finally settled on her best pair of jeans, it was the most recent outfit she had gotten, and it wasn't even thrifted. She had bought it for a picnic with Levi on their anniversary but he had ditched it for an impromptu 'business trip'.

Nova pushed that depressing memory out of her head, focusing on the present, she would be using the outfit for something better. Her research into what to wear had told her that she didn't need to necessarily wear something formal unless her boss demanded that but it needed to be hip and trendy.
