(Third Person POV)
"Quite the interesting bravado." Hades said, "Do you seriously expect me to feel intimidated by-"
"Master!" Tessa shouted as she slammed her hands on the ground
A wall suddenly sprouted from the ground as it blocked two shells from Jason's artillery cannons. As soon as they made contact, they exploded the wall and caused a massive explosion and shockwave.
Hades slowly waved the dust from the explosion away, "Hm..." He said, "Quite the rude one..."
The remaining dark mages were looking at Hades with bewildered faces, they all slowly turned to see Jason and the two cannons that had smoke coming out of the barrels. Jason was giving him a slight smirk as he had what seemed like a rifle leaning on his shoulder.
"So." Jason said, "We doing this or what?"
Tessa immediately lunged at Jason, formed a massive stone fist, and swung it at Jason who jumped away. The Fist was able to hit the two cannons causing a massive shockwave and dust explosion.
"You bastard." Tessa growled, "How dare you attack Master Hades!"
Jason was in the air and was pointing a massive 30mm cannon down at her.
"War Magic: Hallconner"
Jason smirked, "You know what they say..." He said as he took aim, "Bitches love cannons."
He pulled the trigger, firing a massive explosive shell at Tessa. The projectile hit her and exploded, causing a massive explosion that cracked the ground beneath her.
Hades, who was still standing in the same spot, merely stared at this.
The other dark mages looked at him, "Master!" one of them said, "What should we do?"
"Don't get in Tessa's way." Hades said, "That man is not someone low-level runts like you can hope to defeat."
Tessa then dispersed the smoke and flames, she was covered in crumbling stones as Jason landed several meters from her, the cannon had disappeared and was nowhere in sight. This prompted Hades to wonder what Jason's sudden new magic was about.
Jason then looked behind him at the train station, it was just a small building with some benches and a roof over head.
"Kinda dangerous to fight near that, huh?" Jason said
Tessa then lunged at Jason but he had already pulled out an automatic rifle and aimed it at her without even turning his head back to her.
Jason casually pulled the trigger, firing off a barrage of bullets that hit Tessa, one of them managing to pierce through her shoulder.
"Ah!" Tessa cried out in pain as she jumped away
Jason then looked at her as the barrel of his rifle emitted smoke, "How'd you like my M4?" He asked, "Pretty strong, huh?"
Tessa gritted her teeth and stomped her foot down.
"Earth God's Black Wave."
Suddenly, a wave of obsidian black ground was sent at Jason with tremendous speed. Jason, however, didn't look too worried as he snapped his fingers and all of a sudden, the wave of earth exploded as smoke and flames erupted.
Tessa widened her eyes in shock, "What?"
Jason smirked as he lunged at her, kicking her in the chest, and sending her flying. The blow wasn't strong enough to damage her but she was surprised she was sent flying so easily.
Tessa then landed next to Hades, who still had his arms crossed and was watching this closely.
"Master..." Tessa said, "I apologize if I seem pathetic."
"Don't worry, Tessa." Hades said, "This man is a dangerous one. But I do wonder, what magic is he using? Quite the peculiar one...."
"I am not too sure, Master." Tessa said, "He's not using God Slayer Magic, especially the powerful black light one."
Hades nodded, "Step aside, Tessa." He said, "Let me have a go at this one."
Hades took a step forward and Tessa widened her eyes, "But sir!"
"I think I can handle this whipper-snapper." Hades said
Jason was about to lunge at them but Hades swiped his hands rapidly, casting hand-signs in the air.
"Hm?" Jason said, "What's thi-"
Suddenly, several magic seals appeared around him, glowing bright purple.
Jason then widened his eyes, "Oh this is-"
"Amaterasu: Formula 28."
Jason was then engulfed in a massive purple explosion that dwarfed him. The explosion was enough to create a shockwave strong enough to shatter the ground.
As the shockwave hit Hades and Tessa, the Grimoire Heart Master merely stroked his beard.
"No matter how powerful he is, one cannot easily resist such power from the Amaterasu." He said
Suddenly, Jason appeared from the cloud of dust, his clothes were tattered and his body were bruised.
"Shit!" He said as he had an eye closed, "That shit fucking hurt!"
Hades looked at this, "Hm..."
Tessa looked at this, "Master!"
"It appears this one is tougher than I anticipated." Hades said seriously
Jason then summoned his Desert Eagles and aimed them at Hades and Tessa.
"Let's see how you like this!" He growled with an angry glare
Hades then swiped his hands again, casting more hand signs as he did this.
"Let's see how he can handle this one." Hades said, "Not even Makarov would be able to resist the power of the 100th Formula."
Jason was then surrounded by more magic seals, these were more larger than the previous. He looked at them and gritted his teeth, realizing the danger of the sudden Amaterasu spell.
"Amaterasu: Formula 100."
The spell was about to activate when Jason glared at Hades and slammed his hand on the ground.
"To hell with that!" Jason growled
"Battlefield: "
Suddenly, the area shook violently as the ground began to glow, interrupting Hades's spell. Tessa looked down at this and widened her eyes in surprise.
"What is this power?" She said
Hades looked down at the ground, "A Peculiar one..."
"Crimes of The First War."
****************************************************
"Master..." Tessa said as she had her hand on the dirt wall, "I cannot do anything at the moment.....this spell....it causes severe resistance in the earth...."
Hades stood next to her as the group of cloaked dark mages were behind him.
The Master of Grimoire Heart stroked his beard, "Quite the interesting spell...." He said
They were inside a massive trench that was bordered by massive rows of electrified barbwire, keeping them inside. This was just one of the various and countless intricate trenches that is the result of Jason's Battlefield spell.
Hades paced around, "I cannot break us free, somehow." He said, "I can try, but it'll take a severe amount of destructive power to do so. I cannot spare that just to break free of this land-shaping spell. It's been almost thirty minutes since he casted this...."
He looked up at the sky, which was hard to do since there was a massive cloud of smoke that hovered several meters from the trenches.
Tessa nodded, "I can try a bit longer, but I don't know what to guarantee." She said, "I-"
"Don't bother." Hades said, "You lot, run around the trenches and report to me what you find."
He was speaking to the grunts who all nodded in unison and began to run around frantically.
Hades proceeded to stroke his beard, "This War Magic...." He said, "Of all the magic I've studied....this is the most....strange one....I've never heard of it..."
Tessa looked at him, "What do we do, Master?" She asked, "It'll be difficult to break free..."
"We play along with his game." Hades responded, "There must be a weakness to this spell. It is not a spatial spell, it literally reshaped the land to his desires. There must be a way to disable it..."
As he said this, there was a massive explosion that was heard.
Hades turned around to see smoke coming from one of the trenches' entrances.
Then, a loud static was heard from a loudspeaker somewhere.
"Y-Yoooo!!" Jason's voice was heard, "Hey, Precht!"
Hades widened his eye in surprise as he looked up to the sky, "What did he say?"
"With years and years of studying magic, I'd expect you to know of this one." Jason said through the speaker, "But oh well, guess you don't. Oh well, this is where the fun starts! One of your dumbass grunts ran into a hefty grenade I threw, haha! He's dead."
Tessa narrowed her eyes, "That bastard." She growled, "I'll..."
"Shh." Hades raised his arm, "He's somewhere inside the trenches."
"That's right, Precht." Jason said through the speaker, "I'm somewhere within the elaborate maze of trenches. Come and find me. You should know the restrictions this spell has, right? You can't leave the trenches, I mean, you can, but it'll take too much effort. I'm surprised that a Earth God Slayer can't just...break out....but I guess that's really cool of my spell."
Hades frowned, "So it's a game to him, huh?" He said, "That fool....treating his life like a game..."
"It's such a shame she couldn't see you one last time, Precht." Jason said, "Mavis that is....I don't know how I'll do it, looking her in the eye without telling her I killed her old friend. Oh well..."
Hades widened his eye again, "Mavis you said?!" He exclaimed, "What do you mean?!"
"Prepare yourself, Precht!!" Jason yelled through the speaker,
"Today's the day you die!"
