Tenrou Island

"C'mon, Cana! We'll be late for the train if we don't leave soon!" John shouted outside the apartment while holding a meat bun in his hand and a paper bag in the other.

"Coming!" Cana's voice came from the second floor of the apartment, after locking her door she quickly went down carrying the sling bag on her shoulder.

Cana handed her bag to John and snatched the paper bag and took out a hot meat bun from the paper bag and gave it a big bite.

"Hey, that's my food!" John complained while putting Cana's bag into his space, then he snatched back the paper bag under Cana's resentful eyes.

" Let's go, Old man Makarov and the others are already waiting for us at the train station." John urged and then walked towards the train station while eating a meat bun.

"John, let me have a meat bun, I still haven't eaten yet." Cana cried out in a cute voice and extended her hand to the paper bag.

John swatted the extending hand and shielded the paper bag from Cana's wolfish claws, and threatened with a deadpan expression.

"Don't try to steal my food, this bag alone isn't enough for breakfast, go buy your own food, I'll wait for you here."

"Hmph, where did you buy those meat buns, I would buy the same since they're so delicious and fulfilling." Cana asked with a dazed look remembering the delicious taste of those meat buns.

"You won't be able to buy them anywhere, since I made them myself." John then ruthlessly shot down her expectations when she heard him say. " And I won't be selling any of it to you."

Tears started to creep out of Cana's eyes as she let out sad noises while clinging to John's arm whining. " Give me some meat buns, John."

Other citizens also started to look at their location with smiles on their faces while talking to the people next to them with words like.

'It must be nice to be young.'

'Those two are so cute.'

Helpless, John took out another paper bag filled with meat buns and handed them to Cana with a light knock on her forehead.

"Just eat this and stop crying, let's go to the train station, we can't leave the others waiting."

Cana nodded with a happy smile as she took a big bite of her meat bun that made her cheeks bulge fully.

They quickly reached the train station where Makarov and the others that want to participate in the S-Class Promotion Trial.

"Are you two done playing house? Cause you sure took your sweet time getting here." An arrogant voice came out of Laxus who was leaning on a pillar with his arms crossed.

"You sure talk loud for someone who took 15 years to participate in the S-Class Promotion Trial." John grinned while looking at Laxus in a taunting manner.

Everyone's expressions suddenly changed when they heard what John just said, they pinched their arm to see if they are dreaming, but everything is real.

"What did you say?! Brat!" Laxus roared in anger attracting the attention of other passengers in the station.

"You should really clean your ears if you don't hear what I'm saying." John's eyes collided with Laxus causing sparks to appear between them.

Anger bubbled up in Laxus' mind as sparks appeared in his surroundings and magic power started to radiate from him and press in John's direction, John smiled and took a step forward as a gloomy wave of magic power radiated from him and clashed with Laxus' magic power.

"Stop fighting like kids, you two are embarrassing yourselves." A stern voice sounded and a more mighty magic power diffused the situation between John and Laxus.

Laxus scoffed and withdrew his magic power while John smiled and did the same which cause the other people in the station to breathe a sigh of relief.

"Board the train, we need to arrive at the location before noon." Makarov ordered as he boarded the train and sat down in one of the seats.

The other members also boarded the train taking up an entire train car by themselves, John and Cana sat by themselves at one end of the car while Laxus sat by himself at the other end of the car, taking both ends of the car.

Not long after they arrived at the port of Hargeon where an unexpected guest was waiting for them there.

Cana burst into an amazing speed as she jumped and hugged the unexpected guest waiting at the port of Hargeon.

"Dad you're here! Did you already finish your task, so you are here to watch the trials?" Cana asked while hanging on Gildarts' shoulders.

"Not yet, the task is a bit tricky this time, I'm here this time to take a rest from all the chasing and take the time to watch how much John has grown." Gildarts laughed while supporting Cana's body with a hand.

"Alright kids, the boat that we will use is already here, board the boat neatly, and don't fight." Makarov waved his hand in front of a huge boat, like a teacher organizing a school field trip.

The members of the guild boarded the boat one by one like obedient kindergarten students following their teacher.

Nothing interesting happened in their journey toward Tenrou Island, as time passed so as John's excitement in arriving at Ternou Island.

What was the most noticeable thing in the whole of Tenrou Island? Then it must be the giant Tenrou tree rooted in the center of the island.

John didn't know why but this tree has a direct connection with those who bear the mark of the Fairy Tail Guild.

If it's healthy and prosperous then all members of the guild will be healthy and prosperous while also receiving minor buffs that increase attributes.

And when it was uprooted by Azuma in the story all the Fairy Tail Guild members became weak and had no magic power to use.

So John is wondering if he makes a totem from its branches, would he be able to take the buff from Tenrou Tree on the island to other places as well?

Like if he planted this type of totem all over Magnolia then wouldn't Fairy Tail Mages receive buff anywhere in Magnolia?

Then if he planted it in every city then wouldn't they receive buff in every city they are in?

But, that's kinda pointless since no fool would be fighting in densely populated cities, but Fairy Tail mages are such fools.

While John was lost in his thoughts, Cana's shout brought him back to the surface.

"John, Look! Our destination is near!" Cana shouted while pointing to the island visible in the distance.

John looked up and saw an island that had a giant tree with an enormous crown of branches on its top.

"Tenrou Island, also known as ' an island on top of an island' due to the huge crown of the Tenrou tree."

Makarov who was sitting at the bow of the boat and turned to look at John in surprise, then quickly did a lecture on the background of Tenrou Island.

"You are quite knowledgeable kid, but in addition to what you just said, Tenrou Island is also the holy ground of our guild."

"It is the very island where it all began, the meeting of the founders of our guild met on this very island."

"It is also the hometown of our very first guild master, Fairy Tactician Mavis Vermillion, that led our guild to win many battles."

John nodded at the words, he look at the Tenrou Tree intensely and muttered under his breath.

"I really want to get a piece of you quickly."

But, just this exact sentence was heard by Makarov, causing him to look at John with a weird eye.
