It's been a week since John, Cana, and Sebastian went to Crocus to search for suitable dragon skeletons at the graveyard.

John didn't take any quests for the time being as he was busy researching how to use the Diamond Dragon skeleton that he has obtained.

While he was researching he also took the time to replace all the wyvern sharpness runes with the Diamond Dragon's sharpness runes.

Yet, when John took a break from researching and went to the guildhall to see if anything interesting events happened, he heard people loudly chatting in front of the task board.

He pushed other people aside to take a look and saw a quest paper that attracts the eye just from the numeral awards alone, for low-rank mages that is.

John saw that it was a task for collecting some relatively rare herbs that can be used for healing, but his pupils shrank when he saw the name of the requestor of the quest.

He then remembered an event connected to the Heartfilia Konzern in the year 777, in the late months of this year, Layla Heartfilia will die due to Magic Deficiency Disease.

Magic Deficiency Disease is a term that refers to when a Mage is rapidly deprived of their Ethernano, causing them to contract an illness. In dire cases, the disease can cause death if deprived enough of their Ethernano.

It's not a disease that does not have a solution, in the anime Porlyusica created elixirs to cure Wendy Marvell and Carla from the disease.

But, Layla's condition is different it's not as simple as a magic deficiency disease, due to Grammi not being able to return Aquarius' key in time for the Eclipse gate to open.

Layla has no choice but to use her own life force to compensate for the missing key, and only after that did she get magic deficiency disease.

So, unless the Heartfilia Konzern managed to get a herb that can restore vitality to heal her, then her days on Earthland would be numbered.

John then went upstairs to the second floor of the guild hall where only S-class mages can have access.

He wanted to see if the Heartfilia Konzern posted tasks for S-class mages, maybe he can take them on to take a break from researching.

The others watched in envy as John climbed to the second floor, a place they have no business with considering their strength.

And just as John expected, he saw a task posted by the Heartfilia Konzern with details regarding the mission kept confidential, one needed to accept the task first before knowing the details.

But the rewards managed to hook John's interest, so he took the task off the board and went to Makarov's office.

As one of the wealthiest company in the Kingdom of Fiore, it should have some interesting items, right?

After reaching Makarov's office, John placed the task paper in front of Makarov who was busy reading some documents from the magic council, which as always contain complaints about the chaos caused by some of the members.

Makarov took the task paper and read it, then he smiled and stamped it, and handed it back to John.

"There will be a lot of other S-class mages from other guilds and maybe even guilds from outside Fiore might come in. Show them that Fairy Tail will always be the best." Makarov said with a smile.

"Don't worry, old man. I'll show them what we at Fairy Tail can do." John replied with a smile and took the task paper.

Makarov watched John walk out of the office with a smile, then went ahead and took the next complaint paper.

He sighed, "It would be better if every member is like John, look at those rows of gifts of praise and gratitude for the lad."

"Not like the other members, every single day a new wave of complaints will arrive at the guild's doorstep."

While Makarov was complaining about the differences in the members of his guild, John met Natsu while he was going downstairs.

"Yo Natsu! I heard that you burned down the shop you are supposed to guard in your first mission." John teased when he saw Natsu walking in with a cheerful smile.

Natsu's smile froze when he heard John's words, then he looked at John who is leaning on the stair rail and shouted.

"Don't make fun of me John! I'll surely complete it better next time, and I will be better than you!"

Then the people in the room burst out laughing, while John also smiled and then pointed to a chest filled with letters and said.

"If you can get that many letters of gratitude every month, then you'll have a chance to surpass me."

Natsu laughed seeing the chest and sneered, "Just a chest? I already received one today, watch out John, I'll surpass you in no time."

John just smiled upon seeing this and went out of the guild house and then went outside the city of Magnolia.

Waving his hands, a ship the size of a small yacht appeared in front of John, it was a white ship with elaborate scales on the hull of the ship.

A ferocious blizzardvern head to serve as a ship head, with the sails shaped like a blizzardvern's wings, it's truly a beautiful ship worthy of a man's romance.

It's a big ship capable of sailing with 150 people aboard inside, John smiled and went inside the ship and slowly the ship started floating up until it was above the clouds.

Then it turned in a certain direction and it soon accelerated as the surroundings turned into a blur, it's good that there's a barrier outside the ship to protect it from air resistance.

John then went inside the cabin after ensuring that there was nothing wrong with the ship's first flight.

Once inside he saw Sebastian sitting inside while drinking tea and a dessert tray tower filled with pastries.

John then went on and poured himself a cup of tea and grabbed a macaron and ate it while thinking of the possible mission he will get.

"Where are we going this time, kid?" Sebastian asked while he narrowed his eyes in enjoyment upon the sweet taste of the cake.

"We are going to the home of one of the richest companies in Fiore, the one that manages that company is even richer than me," John smiled thinking of the scene in the anime where Lucy said the land that goes as far as the eyes can see is her family's garden.

"Oh really? There are actually people still richer than you now? What's the name of the company we are going to this time then?" Sebastian asked curiously about the name of the company that is richer than John.

"That company's name is the Heartfillia Konzern."

Sebastian's face froze when he heard the name of the company, and a wave surged in his heart just from those two words alone.

John didn't notice Sebastian's abnormality as he golfed down the pastries while telling him the possible missions he will receive once he arrived there.

Sebastian quickly covered up his strange behavior and responded with, " Is that so? I'm looking forward to it then."
