Chapter 1

[If you can't tell this is a first for me but I recently got really into this novel I found online called Reverend Insanity and I'd thought it'd be cool to write my own story. I'm a noob at writing so my grammer and spelling will be incorrect throughout this thing.

Another thing I want to make clear is the use of " ", ' ', and [ ]. " " is obviously speaking while ' ' is thinking and [ ] are author thoughts/notes. I was reading a lot of of fanfictions on this app and I figured I would make use of different povs from different people beside the main character to flesh out the story and world a bit more from an outside perspective apart from the main character.]

The ocean glistens with the reflection of the moon as the sound of the waves crashing with the sand combine to make a tranquil and beautiful scene.

Barely hovering over the waves is a transparent smokey like ball that shines in alternating colors of blue, pink, red, purple and black. This isn't some ordinary ball but rather a soul of a person, more specifically a mage. Despite the weak attempts to continue moving the souls determination shines with hope as if still having a way to escape it's predicament.

Once it makes it to shore the soul shines a bright light blue color making the night sky light up. A slow churning sound comes from the soul as it approaches one of the few beach houses sprawled along the coast.

'I need to continue moving, I don't know where this is nor how I lost my body. My soul is vulnerable to any wild beast or mage that comes my way so I must find a new body and swallow it's soul.'

At this crucial point of life and death the weakened soul of this once great man made it's way into the beach house of a small figure in the royal military of Fiore. Focusing all of his attention of the body sleeping in the bed below him the soul once again shines as parts of itself slowly leave before engraving markings onto the head of the man sleeping as if the pieces of soul were tattoos.

With one final push the soul completely dissolves into little pieces of dust with just one final thought, 'Now It'll be a contest of power between me and this weak man, if I can't even defeat this normal human I've truly wasted centuries of my time.'

Inside of the sleeping man's mind lies his soul completely unaware of the travesty that would befall him. The soul of the mage appears above him, his presence bringing a sense of danger and insignificance. The soul of the mage wraps itself around the sleeping man's soul like a rope tightly hold him in place. Once fully wrapped around the man's soul the rope squeezes with all of it's strength causing the sleeping man in the real world to wake up in agonizing pain. Quickly the man's facial expression turns from that of pain to one of indifference as the soul residing in the bodies mind is completely consumed but the outsider.

Looking down at his new body the mage laughs maniacally in happiness at this second chance at life, 'This man was far weaker than I ever could have imagined. It appears that my soul magic simply wasn't working if I really couldn't identify the strength of that man's soul.'

The mage quickly went over the years of memories stored within the soul he consumed paying attention to any significant details relating to where this place was. After a few seconds a complicated gaze appears on the man's face with his eyes becoming misty and hazy, 'So I'm the world of Fairy Tail, what a ridiculous thought that I would end up in a world like this.'

This mage isn't an ordinary person from ordinary origins, this mage's name is Arthur Laypel, a man who's soul had slipped through dimensions and realities allowing him to transmigrate into a another world. But that world was unlike his own as it had a magic power surprisingly similar to that of Fairy Tail with different properties. He had lived in that world for thousands of years learning magic from many different teachers, family members and friends with all of them being masters of differing branches of magic. Arthur had suddenly woken up without his body and just his badly damaged soul remained. Without any options left he decided to risk his life and take over the body of this person with his damaged soul. Fortunately the body he took over had a very weak soul and was easily consumed by Arthur's soul magic.

Knocks come from the other side of the bedroom door as Arthur contemplates his current predicament. A soft and quiet voice speaks up from behind the door clearly nervous, "D-do you need anything sir? I heard laughter is it ok for me to come in?"

Arthur's face changes as his expression becomes startled and irritated as if he was annoyed by the question, "Yes come in Lariat I require your assistance but bring the auction book with you I remembered that I was hoping on getting something helpful from the next auction in Magnolias."

Lariat quickly scampers over to Arthur's office picking up a giant book that she carries with difficulty because of her frail and weak figure. Waddling over to Arthur's bedroom she slowly opens the door with her foot as the giant book completely covers her face, "S-sir I got the auction book you wanted is there anything that you need from it?"

Arthur coldly looks up at Lariat from his bed as if question how stupid she was, "Lariat I plan to become a mage and take back the house of Sworfull from my halfbrother. I remember that there was a item up for auction related to that of a fire mage correct?"

Lariat sets the book down on the floor quickly flipping through pages in a panic as she feared that Arthur would punish her if she couldn't find what he was asking for.

"Ah, here it is sir. It's the fire magic research of an B-class mage that documents 3 spells that each have differencing effects," Lariat hands the book over to Arthur and he quickly reads through the page his mind rapidly processing and memorizing everything written.

Closing the book Arthur looks back at Lariat with greed and hatred in his eyes, "Lariat I want you too go to this auction with me, I'm not satisfied with being some low ranking military official. With my current income rate I won't be able to effect the ownership of the house of Sworfull so the only option is to become a mage. Get everything ready and prepared for our journey towards Magnolia Lariat, you're dismissed."

Lariat bows before taking the book and carefully closing the door on her way out as to not annoy Arthur.

Looking up at the strangely familiar ceiling Arthur smiles as he erases his old name from his memory, "My new name is Jacob Sworfull, with this identity I'll make my name forever engraved into the minds of people everywhere."
