Leaving Home

A / N: I will try to make this book a mixture of comedy, action, and a little bit of drama. It's the first time I'll write something like this, so I can't say that the result will be satisfactory.

Just to be clear, she has the memories of Eucliwood and Maria, and that ended up forming a 'new' Eucliwood, she is similar, but also different from the original.

This chapter has not been edited, there may be changes later and there may also be many grammatical errors. Before releasing a new chapter, I will edit this one, so don't worry, I'm just out of time now.

''..'' Is for Speech.

'..' Is for Thoughts.

[...] is for Notepad.

\\ is for Scene Change | POV Change.

''Did you just...cancel my magic?'' He asked in shock. He'd never seen anyone able to defend themselves from his magic, which was pure destruction. That was the first time.

Eucliwood just replied, [Yes, I did.]

Gildarts expression darkens and Eucliwood tilts her head.

'Is he mad because I canceled his magic? After all, he must be proud of his magic that can destroy everything.' Eucliwood thought.

She knew Gildarts from her memories of when she was Maria. Or rather, she knew Gildarts from the Fairy Tail anime, where he was only an animated character.

The first time she felt Gildarts's magical energy, she had no idea it was him, all she knew was that there was someone with very powerful magic coming towards her house. It was a surprise for her to come face to face with him, as he was one of the most charismatic characters on the show.

But even though she knew him from the anime, she wasn't pretentious in thinking that everything about him would be the same in the show, after all, the world she was in wasn't an anime, it was a real world.

Gildarts's next action left Eucliwood perplexed, as she hadn't expected that.

With a bang, he hits his head on the tatami and prostrates himself in dogeza, ''I'm really sorry! My magic has gone out of control!''

''The Hell?! What do you think you're doing hitting your forehead so hard on the tatami? Do you want to break the floor?! You stupid monkey!'' The butler-dog complained angrily, but he was completely ignored.

Eucliwood looked at Gildarts who was in dogeza with confusion. His magic may have gotten out of control, but there were no accidents. She didn't think he should apologize so exaggeratedly.

Hearing scribbling, Gildarts looked up and saw Eucliwood writing on her notepad.

[There's no need to apologize. There were no accidents.] She wrote.

Reading what she had written, he sighs in relief on seeing that she wasn't mad at him. He then gets up.

''Even if you say that, I needed to apologize. I don't know what you did to cancel my magic, but if it was someone else there in your place, she or he would have been completely pulverized...'' He said with a sad and regretful expression.

Eucliwood looked at Gildarts expression and felt pity and a lot of empathy, after all, if her magic got out of control, disasters would happen. That's why she, even in this world, still kept her emotions in check, and never uttered a sound during her ten years of living in Fairy Tail.

It might seem overkill to others, but as someone who has gotten all of the original Eucliwood's knowledge of her powers and her memories, she knows the kind of calamity her power could cause.

[It's painful and lonely, isn't it?]

''Mhm? What do you mean, young lady?'' Gildarts asked confused.

[Being born with a power that can hurt people around you without being able to control it.] She explained.

Understanding what she meant, Gildarts said wistfully, ''That is true. At first, I had to keep myself away from everyone and everything as I tried to control my magic.'' Then he smiles. ''But during that time, I had my comrades and friends to help me, and as time went on and with intense training, little by little I gained control. Well, not fully quite, as you could see.'' He finished with a sarcastic snort.

Remembering the series, which was about friendship and companionship, she couldn't help but envy him, as she could never have that.

Eucliwood prefers to get hurt than to hurt others, for this reason, she kept herself isolated from everyone for ten years, having only the company of Alf, the Megalo she had summoned, and who was now her butler.

At first, it wasn't too bad, as living in a new world was exciting. She made a vegetable garden with her own hands and even built a house with the help of her magic. She also explored and saw many magical creatures that she had never seen before.

But time passed, and even with Alf's presence, the feeling of loneliness and sadness continued to gradually intensify in her. She wanted to have friends, she wanted to have fun, and she wanted to be able to talk, laugh, and smile, but she couldn't do any of that.

Bad feelings began to intensify in her heart at the thought of her curse, but she quickly suppressed them.

[You must have good friends.]

Gildarts's expression softened, ''They are not just my friends. They are my family.''

Eucliwood stands still for a moment, watching Gildarts expression, and then writes, [I see.]

''Thanks for the hospitality, young lady. I will be leaving now.'' Gildarts said with a wave of his hand and a smile. Then he headed for the door.

Eucliwood saw him leaving, and a strange feeling surged through her. After talking to someone after so long, she didn't want to be in that boring place anymore. She wanted to have adventures and explore this world that she had only seen on the TV screen when she was Maria.

She then had a thought, 'If it's him, it should be fine, right? After all, he is strong.'

Building up courage, Eucliwood stands up, and before Gildarts can walk out the door, she grabs his cloak, nearly causing him to fall.

''Be careful now, young lady! I almost fell!'' He said, confused and annoyed that she had stopped him abruptly. As he turns to Eucliwood, he sees that she has written something, and as he read, he got even more confused.

[Can I go with you?]

''Do you...Want to come with me? Why?''

Releasing his cloak, she quickly writes, [I want to go on an adventure. It's boring here.]

''E-Eh?! Is it boring to live here with me, Lady Eucliwood?! N-No way...'' The butler-dog falls to the floor depressed but is again completely ignored.

Gildarts sighs and then scratches the back of his head, ''Listen, that's not how it works. First of all, why do you live on a mountain with no one around?''

[Because I'm dangerous.] She answered

Gildarts raises an eyebrow as he reads the answer.

[But you're strong, so it should be okay. And if you die, I can always bring you back.] She continued.

'What the hell is she talking about?' He thought with a complicated expression. He then sighs, ''Sorry girl. I'm in the middle of a mission. I can't take you along.''

[I see.] She responds with her head down, feeling a little depressed.

''If that's all, then this is goodbye.'' Not wanting to waste any more time, he leaves the room and goes to the exit of the house.

Leaving the house, he quickly descends the mountain and looks at the sky, ''Well, time to go back to the village. But...'' He looks back, and sees Eucliwood right behind him, ''What are you doing here?''

[I am following you.] She answered.

''Don't say you're following me with that expressionless face! It's scary! And I already said I can't and I don't want to take you with me!'' He said angrily.

[You're not taking me with you. I'm just following you.] She argued back.

''This makes no sense! And don't you have a house and a dog to take care of?!''

[It's all right. Alf is not a dog. He will take care of the house while I'm gone. He's a good boy.]

'You say that but you still seem to treat him like a dog!' Gildarts thought. He looked at Eucliwood in amazement. He couldn't believe this girl. She suddenly decided that she would follow him, leaving her house and the dog (butler) behind.

''Sorry, but this is not happening!'' Gildarts kicks the ground and starts running towards the village, leaving Eucliwood behind.

After running for five minutes, he stops, ''I think that's enough-How the hell did you get here?!'' He looked back and saw Eucliwood standing a few inches away from him, totally composed and relaxed as if she hadn't even moved.

[ I followed you.] She answered.

''Cut the crap! How the hell could a fragile girl like you keep up with me?!'' He responded completely annoyed.

Eucliwood didn't answer, she just stared at him with her blank expression, and Gildarts' irritation only grew.

''Right! Let's see if you can continue to keep up with me then!'' He said, and then again ran away.

After that, Gildarts did everything to outwit Eucliwood, he ran at full speed, hid, and even used his magic to create distractions like blasting the ground into a big cloud of dust, but Eucliwood always appeared behind him, following him.

After hours of running away, as the sun was about to set, Gildarts drops to his knees, giving up.

[Are you okay?] Eucliwood asked in concern.

''H-How do you manage to appear every time behind me..?'' Gildarts asked breathlessly.

[I teleported.] Eucliwood replied. She didn't really need to move a muscle at all. As she knows Gildarts's magical signature, all she needs to do is teleport next to him.

Gildarts stared at her with a completely stupid expression that seemed to say 'How the hell did I not think of that before?'

With a weary sigh, Gildarts rises, ''Alright, you won. You can follow me if you want. But if you're in trouble, I won't help you, and I won't pay for your stuff.'' He said turning his back to Eucliwood. Then he started walking towards the village again.

Eucliwood didn't write anything, but there was a small smile on her face. She followed him calmly right behind.
