Second Gift box

"Isabella? I want to talk with you about something important…"

She was about to joke about it, but when she noticed my serious look, the concern came back to her face.

"You are not in troubles for overusing your powers right?"

"What?... no is not that, I had a huge backlash because of that, but it's was something temporary, but I indeed want to talk about my abilities though."

"Oh!... then what it is? Don't make me nervous."

"I'm not sure how to explain this… but my abilities are not really what I told everyone."

She frowned a little without getting what I was trying to say and why would someone say something like that.

Most of the people didn't know my real abilities, Isabella wasn't like that, she knew most of them, she knew about my time control ability before I revealed it today's battles. To a certain extent she probably suspects that I had more abilities because of things that she had seen, but she did her best to not pry.

"What do you mean? It's obvious that you have the powers you told me."

Rose at my side understood what I wanted to do.

"Spencer's power is a lot more than what he has told you, but it's because the source of his abilities it's extremely weird and difficult to explain…"

She looked at both of us.

"Weird?"

"My powers were given to me by my real power…"

"Given… "

Rose interrupted me.

"Have you ever played a VRMMORPG or ARRPG video games?"

"I played a few when I was younger."

"Have you noticed how the MC on those games always have new abilities when they level-up, or from different sources?"

"Yeah…"

This time I responded to her.

"It's… pretty much like that…"

I explained the system to her, the missions, the shop, roulette. It was the same as when I told my friends before. How I could get new abilities under certain conditions, and the abilities that I had right now (I didn't mention Lust Inducement).

She had mixed feelings when she heard the part about the missions. I had to tell her that the rescue actually gave me rewards. Rose explained how those missions were actually given to me accordingly to what I wanted to do and not just randomly, so she didn't think that I helped her just because of the rewards.

She seemed more relaxed thank to that and joked a little about me being rewarded for being a good kid.

The conversation went on for a while as she tried to understand, but there were a lot of things about the system that I didn't know myself.

Stuff like where the power came from and how it was possible that I could give abilities to someone else like it happened with Astral link and battery, were not question that I had an answer yet.

Also, I didn't mention what Dante told me and the fact that his power also came from the system, that was something that only Rose, Dante, and I knew.

"This all sounds too weird even in this situation… and did why you told me?"

"I told you because you and Dana are a part of our group… before it was too early to tell you all this, but you have been here supporting us for a while now. Before it was hard to explain or to prove something like that besides showing my growth… but now I have a way to prove that what I told you is true …"

"What do you mean?"

"Remember when I told you that I get points from killing beasts?"

"Yes?"

"Sometimes I get a little extra"

I smiled, and from nowhere a gift box appeared.

"And when I killed the man-bull I got an additional gift, this is the second time I get one of this, it's a tier lower, but bet that it has a couple of nice things inside."

Isabella saw the gift box appearing from nowhere and gasped from surprise.

The gasp called Dana's attention, her eyes sparkled and ran to the table.

"A gift!!! It's for me?"

I smiled at her.

"It's for everyone, but it should have something for you. let's see, help me here pull this ribbon."

Dana happily climbed a chair and pulled the ribbon and took out the top of the gift box. I started to take out the regular stuff first.

A deck of cards, something that looked like a long sock, and a couple of books and comics. Rose gasped at my side, and I understood that the continuation of the light novel she got last time was there.

"A pajama for Cai-Cai!!"

I looked at Dana taking the sock and jumping down.

"Hey, don't jump like that, it's dangerous."

"Sorry mom. Can I help Cai-Cai to try it on?"

I didn't see that coming… it should be her version of dressing dolls I guess.

Isabella nodded, and Dana went to where Cai-Cai was to help her get into the sock.

Now Isabella was looking at the stuff on the table. A comic called Profesor C it was about a genius cat that taught a class in school. There was the Light novel that Rose was already browsing. The deck of cards it's going to be helpful during boring afternoons… if we have one of those. A recipe book, a book called Blacksmithing for dummies… I think that one is for G. And a mystery novel…, there were a couple comics more in between.

"It's this how you got that junk food that time?"

Isabella asked while browsing the recipes books.

"Yeah, the sudden appearance of those weapons must have been confusing."

"Yes, but it makes sense now."

I looked for the most important that was supposed to come and I found the 4 tickets.

I used the Random system points and got the pitiful amount of… 12 points… well, I guess it's normal some bad luck after getting the 2x and two special categories in the random roulette.

I checked the other three tickets.

Let's get things in order first, I had a low-rank power that I can give to someone because there is no use to me.

It reminds me of my first power, it was this exact same one with an additional perk … now that I think about it, it has been just three weeks since that happened…

'Which perk comes with it?'

I thought about it for a second, since it was useless for me to get it, I was thinking about whom should get it in my place. As a marksman, this was useful for Hope, but I was pretty sure that when her control becomes better she was not going to stick with the MRGR.

After thinking about it for a lot of time, I looked at Isabella when I remembered something…

"Isabella? Do you want to have an ability?"

Rose raised her head when heard me and saw the ticket on my hand.

"Are you not going to use it?"

"It's a lower version of Enhanced Sight with a perk, so it's useless for me… I think that if I gave this to Isabella beside the normal power related to the sight, she might get something similar to what my vital points view used to be."

"Vital points view?"

Isabella looked at me, she was confused, fearful and eager at the same time.

"My aura view is actually a mix from some special abilities that I had before my sense were enhanced the second time. I was able to see things outside the visible range, and the other important ability was that I could see vital points on people. If you get that perk with this, you might be able to know if there is a health problem with just a quick look, even the person you see might not know that there is something wrong."

She looked at me and the dull silver ticket on my hand.

"Think about it, I have to tell you that it will hurt… but the way you see the world after that will change completely, only when I got my own power I understood that everything was real, this one was also my first power."

She nodded and took the ticket on her hands. She gasped again in surprise, probably because of the prompt.

"Don't accept yet, go to our room and lay down, we can take care of Dana in the meantime."

She was looking at the ticket for a while before she stood up with a firm look on her eyes and left toward our Rose's and my room.
